The lima beans were a little too soupy and didn't have much flavor this time, but that won't stop me from coming back. Best fried catfish I've had in a long time. The batter is so delicious, and it was perfectly cooked. Tarter sauce is good, too. Eggs were cooked to order. Hashbrowns (shredded) with pepper and onions is the way to go. They were also cooked to perfection. If I lived around here, I'd come back often! Service was quick. A cheeseburger and fries, without the fries, was $9.00! Without specifying, it came with mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion. My wife didn't want the toppings. A hot dog listed as "chili, mustard, ketchup and onions" came with ground beef without any resemblance to chili, no actual sauce, on apparently a boiled, 10 to a pound hot dog. I asked to sub potato salad for the fries, and the server said "sure!", not saying the switch would cost me an additional $3. The potato salad came with egg shell pieces in it, which I luckily picked out before swallowing them. An attempt to " give small businesses a try" was definitely a mistake this time. To add insult to injury, a surcharge for using a DEBIT card was added without telling me, or any other customers, for that matter. This place isn't someplace you should patronize. read more

Dined here twice. Once for breakfast and an other for lunch and both times a woman came out and used racial slurs. Unsure if she is the owner, however, she delivered the food and cashed me out both times. This is a place not worth supporting if they are not inclusive. Yep, delicious food indeed! The restaurant is simple and down home, very friendly service and very prompt with the coffee. We ordered the loaded extra crispy hash brown and it was so good! And we like that we can order 1 biscuit and gravy and 1 catfish and 1 perfect over easy eggs. Made our own combo plate. Haven't had catfish fried so well in a while. We lucked upon this cute little place on one of their steak nights on Friday night that they have every 4 to 6 weeks. the steak was tender and delicious and we had the surf and turf and I chose the fried shrimp the breading was crisp but not overpowering to the shrimp everything was absolutely excellent and it's a charming little place with a very friendly family owned atmosphere we highly recommend. We needed a hearty breakfast after having a spoiled getaway due to major car trouble. We hoped this unassuming place would deliver and it did..,in spades! The menu was truly Southern even offering fried catfish as a side to your eggs. We stuck to the basics...ham and cheese omelette, hashbrowns, scrambled egg, grilled biscuit with sausage gravy, and mama's special potatoes with diced ham, peppers, onions, mushrooms all covered in cheese. We became members of the clean plate club, after I swiped my tiny bite of biscuit along the plate to catch any remaining gravy clinging to the sides. Not even a crumb was left behind. My husband and I stopped here when we were heading back home from Charleston and we actually really enjoyed eating there. It is fully home cooked meal that reminds me of my mom's cooking and the omelette was delicious. The only lock that I didn't like is that they didn't have different kinds of sugar because I am on keto I can only have heavy cream and certain kind of sugar but they didn't have that but other than that it was all fine even the water tasted delicious so highly recommend the place. The toast was just plain 79¢ a loaf wheat bread. Boo! The country ham was VERY salty. Ouch! When we were asked how every thing was, we told her that the ham was salty, she said, "oh yes, that's why not many people order it" Thanks for the heads up... By the way, biscuit and gravy was salty too. I thought this would be a real nice find in a small town but now that I've been here, I think otherwise. I do not really recommend coming here. She makes sure your meal is just what you wanted and also has conversations with her regular customers as easy as she does for those of us there for the one-time driving thru town. My Two Egg Breakfast with country ham and hash browns is not complete until the suggested grilled biscuit with butter arrives. Our waitress, Judi's niece, made the suggestion and of course it was spot on. My husband had the Two Egg Breakfast with corned beef hash and hash browns and also the grilled biscuit. The biscuit, if any is left, is great for sopping up the egg, the hash browns and anything else on the plate. The smiles and coffee kept coming and after Judi asked where we were heading, she gave great traffic-free directions. We'll be back next time we're in South Carolina! read more

Let's start by saying I only stopped here because I was starving and was driving to Columbia. As I came inside I wasn't greeted just ignored until I theyasked if they had a big enough table to hold 5 paused like they didn't even want us here then eventually said "in the back" as we sat down to order the waitress had no kind of personality almost like she hated her job. It made it very unpleasant to be there. The menu is very limited so I ordered something basic like the blt and hash brown, while my family got the French toast, omelet and 2 egg breakfast with sausage. My sisters hash browns came with peppers when she specifically said no onions or green peppers. My sons French toast was under cooked and soggy, and the omelette my dad ordered was very flat. The food was way over priced for the quality. Again the whole time we were here the waitress had no personality and didn't smile not once. Would never eat here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. I honestly think it would have been a better experience at McDonald's and much cheaper.
