We were traveling through and decided against our better judgement to give this place a try even though it had bad reviews. We should have went by the reviews. The bartender waitress was nice, but she was bartending and trying to wait on all the booths and people at the bar, plus make all the cocktails for everyone in the restaurant. E waited 20 minutes before she took our order and then we waited over a hour for our food. We will never ho back and we will from now on go by yelp reviews. When we travel we always use yelp a sun it has a 4 star and higher we have never been disappointed. Worst visit to my Favorite chain restaurant was this Ruby Tuesday. Saturday evening 6:30 pm was seated quickly and with a bit of jocularity. However I sat at my table for 20 minutes watching a video on my IPad waiting for server to take my order. No one came close to me to even ask for help. As a mater of fact a couple was seated after 5 minutes after me got service. I went to restroom then headed to the host desk. Absolute worst steak I have ever had Whoever the "manager" is that is sitting ppl didn't even bother with a greeting. Just how many is all he said. I was sat in the bar at a table. I should've known by the flies on the window to not eat here, but I decided to anyway. The bartender was super friendly. I even upgraded my drink. We ordered steaks. We both had the sirloin. My wife's steak was chewy, but edible. My steak (medium) had ZERO taste and was impossible to chew. It was like rubber. (but I believe that rubber actually has a better taste) The waitress (Peyton) was very good about it, and offered another try. No thank you!... I will simply have anything else. So she brought out a burger and fries. The burger was quite good, but the fries were limp and tasteless. Probably under a heating lamp for a long time. One more thing,... we like to dine in peace and quiet. There was horrible noise that they identified as 'music' coming out of speakers in the ceiling. We asked if they could turn it down a little. There's a reason this restaurant imhas only received 2 stars and it's NOT the food. Our waitress was fantastic. We wouldn't normally eat here but it was the only non drive thru restaurant while on the road. I ordered a bowl of potatoe soup which the kitchen is required to measure out at 7 oz! It was pink! Like maybe they used the lobster bisque base and threw in potatoes. 7 oz is about 3 bites. When the very sweet waitress sent over the manager she offered to add more but said thats the amount they serve in a large bowl. I declined because the salty glob wasn't appealing. My husband's bourbon chicken breast must have come from a frozen dinner package. If it wasn't for the staff, id rate this place -1. Sad, sad. The service (from the hostess, waitress, and salad bar attendant) was great- hence the two stars. They did their job, but I am not quite sure who to blame for the terrible food and grungy/dirty restaurant. I ordered the salad bar, and let me just sum it up in one word: SAD. The lettuce was browning so I had to pick through it, the peas were brownish and soggy and tasted funny, the red pepper I got had the sticker attached. The broccoli and potato salads were not fresh looking. I then ordered the honey bourbon salmon with rice and zucchini. It was a frozen salmon filet that had been poorly thawed, heated, and sauce poured over it. The picture says it all. Bathrooms were dirty- and not like they got messed up today dirty- like years of grime and dirt on the walls, stalls, mirrors. Seats were cracked. Overall- the restaurant needs a huge rehab/deep clean and the franchise needs to step up its game with its food quality. I did have a decent Josh cellars wine, and it was not overpriced, so that was a plus. Overall would not come back, and that makes me sad because I love a good salad bar! read more

I ordered a hamburger with tater tots and stuffed mushrooms online last Saturday, October 19, 2024. When I arrived at the restaurant, my order was ready for pickup. However, when I opened my boxes, the tots were fried hard and the mushrooms were the smallest mushrooms I've ever seen. I think that they were over priced for the amount/size of the mushrooms. The waitress was fine, everything was horrible, it took an hour and half for the food to come I the kitchen and when it did, the fried seafood platters were cold, the steaks were overcooked, and the potatoes were hard. I live in Orangeburg, and I know it could be better like it was in the past. It took awhile for my husbands food, but a table that came after us got their food, hmm When I asked if something was going on in the kitchen, a waitress went an looked. Our waitress came out with my husbands food after she walked the whole restaurant delivering a drink to another table. If it's not for Ky'Seanna amazing personality and fast service it would for the managers Craig helpful and wonderful service as well. He came around and made sure not only our table but many of the tables were taken care off and when my aunt was disappointed with her order he immediately resolved her issue. This is the worst Ruby Tuesday in history. Steer clear of this restaurant. The staff is apathetic. The manager shows no interest. Service is incredibly slow. They do not address your questions. The staff is made up of young people aged 18 to 22. The manager sides with the employees rather than the customers. My experience was terrible. I went to the restroom, and they started taking my plate even though I hadn't finished. I wanted a to go plate but that never happened because the waitress never showed up to see if we were OK, but I never got it back. The manager took $10 off my meal because my ribeye steak was, I assure you, not even an eighth of an inch thick. There was no way that could be classified as a medium well steak; it looked like a compressed sirloin. Even the manager agreed with me about Ruby, Tuesday steaks Furthermore, my waitress never came to my table to see if I was okay, which is why I did not tip her. Additionally, when my food was served while I was with my grandkids, we were not given any silverware and had to wait an extra 10 minutes for it after getting our drinks. Instead of providing the kids' drinks with their meals, they handed them large cups. My four-year-old granddaughter asked why they received such big cups instead of kid-sized ones; even she noticed that they weren't considering the customers. Never visit this restaurant on a Sunday; this is a small town, Orangeburg, where locals go to church and then to these restaurants afterward. I believe that most restaurants in Orangeburg, South Carolina, are underperforming, and the customers here have to endure it. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the salad bar. The salad bar was pretty good and nice to have a choice other than fries. My husband got the bbq burger. The sandwiches were ok.
