Pizza here is always on point. Service is okay. Got a plate to share and was charged a extra fee to split the food. Mind you we didn't ask them to split the food for us and were not informed there would be a charge to do so. The look and feel of this place is cute, cozy. TERRIBLE, I wish there was a better way to express How Truly disappointed I was here. I ordered Bruschetta and we ordered Calamari and cheese bread. The Bruschetta was just a bowl of diced tomatoes with some kind of dressing and a plate of bread not even Italian bread of any kind very thin regular bread toasted and you add the tomatoes yourself. The cheese bread the same just regular thin bread with Parmesan cheese melted on top and the calamari you could taste the batter and it was so hard I never tasted the Calamari. My family ordered but after tasting the entrees I said I can just imagine what the food is going to be No I don't want any. Oh and who I started to say something to the waitress she immediately went into defense mode about the Bruschetta I said " I've eaten at so many Italian Restaurants even at your other restaurant on 83 and she rudely said "We are Not Mia's We are Mama s ". I asked my son Why the Rudeness ?and he said there's a History about this place, I said but even that It's not very professional to say that in public like that."" I don't know. There were Cats there in the dining area. I'm an animal lover but you Don't have any kind of animal around food. Unsanitary I can imagine cats in the kitchen all over the food. Nope Do Not Go there. No true hostess, we were just asked to sit anywhere. We grabbed a table inside. Our server was fast and friendly. We ordered a house salad, fried mushrooms, spaghetti and a calzone for hubby. The house dressing was phenomenal. The fried mushrooms had the most amazing breading with the mushroom cooked to perfection. But I fell in love with the spaghetti and meatball. Came to this cute little pizzeria and was impressed. Looks small from the outside but it's very spacious from the inside. You come in and you get great service. Food was definitely worth the wait! Our waiter was such a great guy and always came to check on us. I do wish the pizza had more pepperonis, but other than that the pizza was perfect. The pasta needed just a tad bit more cooking and the bread was a bit soggy because of the overload of butter, but the dish was pretty good and presented very nicely. I had an unfortunate experience with Mama's Pizzeria, which is a shame because this was my second visit. I ordered the Lasagna and the first half of it was decent, but then I took a bite that was ice cold. I told the staff and they took it to the kitchen and back to my table in less than 3 minutes. Which although I was told otherwise, it's likely this was a microwave oven. The server was nice and apologetic but if I wanted to heat up a Frozen Lasagna, I could have gone to Walmart and bought one there for 1/4 of the price. I love supporting local business and I would have given it another try, but what made this a bad to worse experience was that I was not even offered a discounted rate for being served ice cold food and having my appetite ruined. Mama's Pizzeria lack of responsibility has led me to believe they do not care about their patrons' experience and rather make the next buck. I hope my tip completely goes to my server and not shared as she was the only one that offered any apologies. To the guy that brought me the tab with a huge smile and found the whole situation funny, I thank you for being the ultimate reason in confirming that I will be avoiding this place moving forward and would never recommend it to friends or family. I've never written a negative review but I've ordered take out here 4 times in the last two months and am always dealing with rude people in the 5-10 minutes I'm there to pick up my order. I was very disappointed with the food and especially the service. I was with a party of 10 and some had shared plates. Food was not seasoned well, very bland, pasta sauce was very watered down. It was quite a long wait but I understand the fact that the pizzas are made from scratch. When the calzones came out they looked amazing. Cut into them and the meat was cold cheese wast even melted. A few minutes the pastas came out the same exact way. The only thing that came out hot was the overpriced burger and fries. To fix this all that was done was they took the calzones to the back and threw them back in the brick oven and probably just microwaved our pastas. Manager didn't come by and apologize there was no type of compensation for our order. The final straw for me was when I went to go pick up a to go order I made for my husband before we had purchased our food. I was completely ignored when I was standing in front of the counter. We went here on a busy Saturday evening. Honestly we usually go to Mama Mia's on old 83 but there was a 40 min wait. We had been going to that location for more than 20 years. It was one of many family dinner spots that we made sure to go to when returning home. Unfortunately or fortunately, it was very busy this past Saturday night and we went to Mama's. I had only been here once before but I can honestly say that we will be coming here from now on. First of all they have nice outdoor seating with heaters during the winter. As you walk in, it is a cozy but loud environment. There is a small bird cage in one corner as you enter a separate dining room. There are tvs on the a few walls. We sat down immediately. I had called ahead and again fortunately there was a table available and the other location was less then 5 min away. They seemed short staffed for a holiday weekend but they were also very busy with multiple very large parties(more than 10). Off the bat the menu seemed to have a lot of the same but there seemed to be more variety. They have fried pickle spears which used to be an off the menu item,like at in and out burgers. The original location does not make them anymore to our disappointment, but this one does!! They have a tour of Italy option, similar to Olive Garden with a lasagna, chicken Parma and fettuccini, which the other does not have. It was piping hot and delicious. I will probably just get the lasagna next time because it was excellent. Overall the food was great! My wife got the chipotle chicken pasta dish and she loved it. Last but not least, the wait staff were all very helpful. Despite being very busy every single person from our own waitress to the ones picking up dishes and refilling drinks were all very attentive and patient. We will definitely be back and I think it is safe to say this is now our preferred Mama's. read more

I was invited here for dinner by some fellow Yelpers and I'm so glad I checked this place out! I was under the impression that Mama's and Mama Mia's are the same, however I was CLEARLY mistaken by my recent visit here at Mama's. The atmosphere here, by itself, is great. We chose to sit outside on the patio and it was an excellent choice! The tables were spacious, they had awesome live music playing, plus the music wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk over it. I also like that this place has a more modern vibe than Mama Mia's. It just felt more comfortable to me. Now the important part, the food! We ordered fried pickles and spinach artichoke dip to share, which were both fantastic. For our entrees, I ordered the spaghetti parmigiana with vegan sauce and my guy ordered the pepperoni pasta dish. Both were HUGE portions and came with garlic bread. I couldn't eat all of mine and neither could he (not that we didn't try). Plus, we were able to bring our own wine with us, which was definitely a plus! It's very rare you see a BYOB option outside of a major city. Overall, I was very impressed with my experience at Mama's. The food, ambiance, and service were all great. I used to love it here. But lately the service is absolutely horrendous. I used to recommend this place to every one that I knew and NOW I'd be embarrassed to send someone here. My family of 4 and I walked in and were given an ugly look by what i'm assuming was a bus boy. No "hello" "welcome" "be right with you" not by ONE SOUL. We sat ourselves, and were ignored for nearly 15 minutes. I tried to get the attention of multiple people who all ignored me. Then when I finally got attention, the girl looked at me super annoyed and proceeded to ask me for "HOW MANY?" I probably answered this question 5 times. I was finally losing it when another family of 4 walked in, (they experienced a wait as well at the door) Then someone cleaned them off a table and they sat. The moment they sat they had menus and someone taking their drink order while we were still here. Without a menu and at 15 minutes sitting being IGNORED BY ALL STAFF. Also We were sitting in the middle of the restaurant, not tucked off in some corner. Just so you understand how frustrating this was. FINALLY after another 3 minutes some guy brought menus. Took our drink order etc. At this point i'm not even hungry anymore, I'm still here because my son and parents are starving. My kid had the spaghetti with meatballs, the spaghetti was tasty but the meatballs tasted too much of fennel and he didn't like them. My husband had the Mamma's Trio, the chicken parmesan was the worst, the chicken was reheated, tough, dry and just plain horrible, the fettuccine alfredo was a bit better but didn't really taste like much, very mediocre, the lasagna was the only was thatbhe was able to eat. Our first visit to Mama's Pizzeria was amazing. We were immediately greeted and seated by our server "Amy". We were craving pizza and salad for lunch. Our server was awesome with a great personality. We ordered a thin crust pizza with all the fixings and side salads. The side salads came first and the presentation was my exact words "so pretty "! The salad was fresh and the raspberry vinaigrette dressing was amazing. The pizza was served and it was delicious . The crust was perfect and the ingredients tasted fresh. I rate it the best pizza in the area. We've traveled to many places and quiet honestly this pizza is the best. We will be definitely be returning every time we crave pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. It was our first visit even though we've been in the Valley the last three winters. We each had the Mama's Combo. Let me just say that it is HUGE! We had leftovers enough for another meal. Each! The Combo includes Fettucini Alfredo, Mama's Lasagna and Chicken Parmigiana over spaghetti. All three were EXCELLENT! We also had the calamari appetizer which was also very good. Our Combos came with a side salad and garlic toast. My salad was changed to a Caesar for a couple bucks extra and was worth the money. The wife had the side salad and was pleased. The garlic toast was tasty. We will be back. Service was very good, attentive but not obtrusive. I've been taking my family there for years. Delicious food and had always had great service. Last Friday I took my family of four at approximately 2 pm. We waited at the door and nobody took the time to greet of seat us. Instead of waiting there we found a table and waited for staff. 5 minutes later a waiter arrived and dropped a reserved sign on the table and told us we had to move because the table was available for parties of 5-6 only. He added he would be back to take our drink order. There was no apology rendered. I spoke with the manager who really did not have anything to add. I guess business must be so good where customer service is no longer a requirement. I really love the food and will miss the place, but I won't be back.
