Went to Mr. Gattis around 11:16 am. The service was really good and fast. Got food and sat down and enjoyed the meal. I love the food. My favorite is the cheesy bread and also the pasta. Love how much space the establishment has to offer, the multiple tvs, the game room, and tables. I always like coming to Mr. Gattis. I was sad when the Mr Gattis in Harlingen shut down. I'm glad they still have it open here. I grew up around the one in Harlingen. Had birthday parties there, attended parties there. This place never disappoints to bring me back nostalgic memories. Salad bar is top notch and always fresh , the pizza is lip-smacking good and always good. Clean food bar and great staff .

Update on the awful experience we had on the 4th of July, at Mr. Gattis in Weslaco... The audacity of their "Marketing Director" to continue insinuating that we were trying to eat for free, when my mommy clearly stated to the cashier that we had both already eaten elsewhere, then the nerve of her to BOLD FACE LIE calling it "An Industry Wide Practice" her name "Karen" seems so fitting!!!!!!! Yes I'll be adding this to my Facebook and Google reviews as well, they need to do better, or just close down indefinitely (it's not what it used to be growing up)!!! read more

No complaints here, it's a size relative to the city it's in. So not too big and not too small. The buffet and size is smaller when comparing it to one in Mcallen but the smaller the buffet, the more they brought out hot pizzas every few minutes. That was the most fresh and hottest buffet foods I've eaten in a long time. I liked it. Games were good. read more

If you are wanting to book a party at this location I would definitely consider another establishment. I will never be coming back to this location ever again. Firstly, Let me begin by stating when booking your party online  be very SPECIFIC. I always cover for the children(4-12years) and adults purchase their own buffets. When booking I included this detail in the reservation and received a phone call the following day from a manager giving further detail and confirming my reservation. I asked if there was a place for pinata and I was told yes. Ok perfect right ? So the day of our event arrives and family  was  being added to our tab. I advised the staff I was only covering for children and a manager and cashier both stated packages are not able to accommodate that. I advised them when booking my reservation I included it in there and a manager CM called me and confirmed with me. They recheck my reservation form and say, " ok it says that here then we can accommodate it " Secondly, we are told only cash is being accepted because there is an outage in the area and their system is down which included the game room. YOU WOULD THINK TO CALL US AND LET US KNOW BEFORE OUR PARTY. I understand these things occur and we cannot prevent it but not even when we first arrived which was a whole hour early did they mention it. Thirdly we  ask if we would be getting some sort of discount since their game room is out and the package we are paying for included a $5 game card per child. Manager 1 states he understands and would contact the GM. Few minutes later go by and Manager 2 comes to us in the dining area and tells me they could give me 2 options which would be to get the game cards and come back another time or no game cards and buffet price would be $10 per child. I explained to him I would speak to my husband and let them know shortly. I go to the front and advise I'd go with option 2 asked for discounted price. Cashier tells me that offer was not what she was told and i would pay regular price (13.99) I asked to speak to the manager and she stated he did not want to come out to speak to us. Mind you there's 4 managers on staff. I paid for 8 additional children add ons $111. I apparently got a discount but mathematically 13.99x8= $111. My husband asks for the 16 game cards since mathematically we paid full price and they state we got a discount but didn't provide written break down of the alleged "discount " Fourthly, We pay .  We ask for the pinata room and then they state for pinata room it's an additional cost of $45!!!!!!!!! This price was not mentioned to me at the time of reservation nor at the time we confirmed via telephone. I even called back once confirming the party and asked about the pinata and they never mentioned anything of an additional charge.  You would think since their game room is down we could at least break the pinata!!!! Never ever ever ever ever EVER booking here again. I love Mr. Gattis and have always chosen their business for my kids birthdays. I miss the harlingen location and loved the mcallen location. Weslaco- DO BETTER. WHAT A FREAKING EMBAREASMENT! Weslaco takes pride in supporting businesses and of course drawing audiences because hey we are the mighty panthers. Mr. Gattis is an embarrassment and does not have the common courtesy of speaking to their paying customers. All my guests advised me weslaco location is dead and it's for a reason and I told them NO, MR GATTIS IS AMAZING AND WATCH it would become our next go to place. Boy did I eat my words tonight. Please do not book here and read these reviews. You will leave here disappointed like we did. *paid full price although game room was unavailable due to service being down, I got an alleged discount but mathemically does not add up. 8 kids buffets at 13.99 =111. We should have gotten 15 game cards at $5, 1 birthday game card of $10, & my son did NOT get 300 tickets like package states plus trying to  additionally charge for the pinata room* WE WERE ROBBED. never again. At least the managers could have had the courtesy to talk and explain this to my husband and i but instead chose to stay in the kitchen like cowards and let the female cashier who was a sweetheart notify us of all the mess. read more

Nice place first time eating for buffet. Really clean and friendly staff. Good pasta wish they added chicken in it but it's still good. Pizza nice and hot ready to eat so mr gattis gets a full 10 stars instead of 5 read more
