    Bulgogi soup and accompanying sides

Ordered via grub hub. Food came fast and hot. Bulgogi fried rice was my favorite. Definitely recommend.

This place was good. It was after our hike nearby and we all had a craving for korean food and yes it did hit the spot Being Korean I have pretty high standards for Korean food. It is authentic and has a great taste. For one of my friends it was her first time trying Korean food and she really enjoyed it along with a green grape juice with chunks in them that was definitely part of my childhood We got the bibimbap, seafood soft tofu soup & stir fry squid (which I love). All of the dishes were good which is why I'm not surprised they have 2 locations! I might not come back to this location unless I'm camping out here again as I live over an hour away but I will probably go back to their other location which is closer to home

Have been going to Mama's for years. Two years ago new owners came on board. Like most restaurants with new owners come changes. Prices have changed a bit and the menu had been updated. The food and the service continues to be excellent! Tonight my wife had hot stone bimbimbap and I had grilled mackerel. Everything was above average. If you like Korean food you can't go wrong

Not sure what happened but the food (at least the lunch I tried) got so much better than before. Enjoyed the food very much and will return.

Oh. My. Goodness! Place is fantastic. Came to town as my nephew is at college here. Family went to dinner at Mama's as it was recommended to us. Food was amazing, service amazing. 10/10 would drive through just to stop here again. 1. Restaurant has two sections - BBQ and just restaurant. BBQ tables have a pit in the middle for hot coals. 2. Menu had a lot of options to choose from. We decided on a combo that included bulgolgi, spicy chicken, and spicy pork. They give you lettuce wraps and ssamjang along with banchan. 3. After ordering, they bring out your hot coals for your BBQ to heat up, then bring out the raw meat and tongs for you to cook your food. . Service - our servers were super nice and incredible - keeping drinks topped off, explaining the menu, etc. The food was incredible and I was stuffed! Portion sizes are great - we even had enough to take home.

Great Korean restaurant. The best at Bloomington. Must try their chicken! Wonderful side dishes

I don't usually come to Mama's for Korean food (the prices are more expensive than other Korean places) but my friend introduced me to their budaejjigae (Korean army stew) and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since. The layout of the restaurant is very spacious and can seat many people. One side of the restaurant is for sit down dinner while the other side is for KBBQ with grills at the tables. The waiter that served us was friendly and was attentive to what we asked for. Like I said previously, we ordered budaejjigae, which was around $40. BUT don't be scared about the price because you can share the big stew with 4-5 people easily. My friends and I finished with really full bellies. Loved the flavor and even though it's a simple dish, it hit the spot when the weather was cold. Would come back for the stew but not so much for the other dishes (overpriced).

I went here with friends on Thursday night and had the most enjoyable dinner! The beef and chicken was fabulous! It's definitely an experience. The only downside was the service was a bit off (refills on drinks, changing grill station) and some of the sides weren't my favorite but aside from that it was great. I will 100% return!

Expensive! Food is ok . Under staff- can't keep up with everyone. Place is not clean.

The place is really cozy, I decided to eat outside on the patio as it sprinkled. They also sell some snacks and frozen goods you would find at an Asian grocer. Firstly, the prices here are amazing. I spent a little under $20 dollars and I got a large bowl of Jjam-Ppong Ramen and Bugolgi Kimbap. It also came with a side of Kimchi and Macaroni Salad. The food came out relatively quick despite there being maybe one staff member there at the time. The Jjam-Ppong Ramen was great! The noodles had the perfect amount of chew and there was a decent amount of seafood in the dish considering it was only about $9. It was also the perfect amount of spice, I think even those who don't like spicy food could manage with this one. The Kimbap was also really good and had refreshing flavor with the pickles and veggies. The cheese was a nice addition. Overall I totally recommend this place. Ami is mainly a Sushi restaurant, but has Korean accents, of which my Cupbap bowl (Chicken and Rice) was quite good. I'm completely clueless regarding Sushi nomenclature, but I did know that those choices (in generous quantity) were enjoyed by the other 5 folks at the table. I was the only one that ordered beer, of which my Upland Dragonfly IPA choice had just the right amount of bite and at only $5. We also had a nice roomy table by the window. We started with the ttuk kko chi which were rice cakes covered in a gochujang sauce. The cakes were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The sauce it was in was amazing, balancing the heat from the gochujang with some sweetness. Next, we got the Korean fried chicken (they were out of KFC wings). I remember the sauce being a little more red last time, but it was still good. Super crispy exterior and no excess batter so we just tasted the juicy chicken. The two entrees we got were the spicy chicken and jaeyuk. The spicy chicken was flavorful and tender. Along with the chicken, the veggies were stir fried nicely and coated in the broth. The jaeyuk was a little better with the pork having a great marinade and also being super tender. On top of the food we ordered, we were given a salad, soup, and rice which were all nice accompaniments. This was the meal I was looking forward to the most in my return and it did not disappoint. The only and I mean only thing to change is having bigger napkins on the table. Everything else is great and most importantly all the food is delicious.

RHS bills itself as 'Vietnamese Fusion' and I have no idea what that might mean, but it was good. Very good. We went on a cold day, so eating on the outside deck wasn't an option. The interior is a basic strip mall location with a decent number of tables and plenty of seating, albeit a bit cramped. It's counter service, so it pays to take a look at the menu in advance and know what you want before you arrive. Paid at the counter, and they came to our table with the food very quickly. I had the 'Be Kind to Each Other' Chicken Pho which came with the usual sides of sprouts, basil, lime and noodles. You could upgrade your noodles if you wanted. I also added an order of cajun fries, which doesn't really seem like a 'Vietnamese Fusion' choice, but I love cajun fries so who was I to question them? The Pho was terrific. Loved it. The fries were very very good, though maybe a bit generous on the cajun. Still very good, and I definitely will return for this meal again. Friend ordered the Spam Banh Mi. Seriously???? Well, he did. And he said it was very good. You actually pay $0.50 extra for spam. Again, not sure what world you pay extra for the Spam but he did it. He selected the Fire Engine Tim sauce, which was to be spicy. When I pressed him for more details on the quality he said it could be spicier even with that sauce, but otherwise it was very good. He said to point out on Yelp that "That Diet Coke was clutch" - he may have been making fun of my questioning :) All in all a very good experience and I'll definitely return. I don't find much good pho in Bloomington, so it's nice to have a place for that. I won't be eating Spam anytime soon. I'm giving 4 stars only because the seating was a bit cramped and it was busy inside. I would go 4.5 if it weren't in a strip mall and pretty 'basic' ambiance. And that canned Diet Coke is clutch!

Bloomington has some excellent Sichuan food, which is the primary Chinese cuisine in town, so when I saw Oasis' extensive menu with a number of spicy dishes listed I got excited and assumed they were Sichuan too. Mistake #1. Mistake #2: Their dinner plates are $8.50, so when I ordered Sichuan shrimp, I should have guessed based on the price that the serving would have only 5 medium sized shrimp. And as I placed my shrimp order I asked if it has any vegetables, and the server pointed me to the veggie dish section. Assuming the shrimp came on its own I ordered a broccoli in garlic sauce ($6.50). Both dishes finally came in identical plates, with the shrimp served with broccoli as well. Like you could tell me that the shrimp came with veggies so I wouldn't order this abundance of broccoli? But she made me order an extra dish with the SAME sauce? These would have been forgiven were it not for the appalling sauce, which resembles the goopy brown cornflour-dumped ketchup-like abomination that passes for everything from General Tso's to "Sichuan" to garlic sauce. I abhor "American Chinese" food loaded in sugar, so I'm unreasonably upset. There was NO difference between my "Sichuan" dish and my "garlic sauce" dish barring a few measly shrimp. And the same sauce has NO heat or spice; an anticlimax considering I was expecting a dish loaded with numbing Sichuan peppercorn and whole chillies. I realized after I was almost done with my meal that the people in the table across me had a different menu with pictures -- and that they were ordering food clearly not on my menu. Well, they stuck me with the American Chinese menu and it sucks. I was very disappointed with my meal. Will not bother coming here again.
