Such a fun piano bar! We were intrigued by the mannequins on the display windows but upon hearing the piano, we were transported to a pinkly lit room with an immediate piano to your right. Super fun vibe, with some stool and table seating, as well as some private rooms. The piano men were SO GOOD. We stayed and saw 2 perform and both super talented. You can tip them for a song request which there are QR codes around to do so. The drinks are also really delicious too. I got the matcha one which has a nice foam on top and really well balanced as well as the pickle cocktail. A total 180 with a strong pickle brine and mezcal flavor, but equally delicious for a more savory drink. Would definitely recommend and come back! read more

We went over for Wicked sing-along night and had such a fun time. The weekly piano bar events here are a blast and feel so central Hollywood in the best way. The piano player was unbelievable and could play literally any song that was requested, which made the whole night feel electric. Service at the bar was fast and kept things moving, even as the place filled up. Drinks came out quick and the energy never dipped. The ambience is super quaint and inviting. There are cozy tables, bar stools, and high tops if you want to sit, plus an open dance floor where everyone ends up singing and dancing together. Such a fun, feel-good spot. This place was a rec from a friend and was so lovely to go to! They had such different and classy decor and the vibe was so fun to start out the night! The only thing is that I was under the impression that it was a dueling or riffling piano bar but there was just one guy that was playing that night. On an impromptu trip to the strip of bars along this area of DTLA we were recommended to stop by here! Even if you don't know exactly where it is, you can hear the joy floating down the sidewalk outside. You pass by many clubs and bars on the way here, bumping and closed off with cordons, but when you wander anywhere near here, it's very clear that THIS is who's having the most fun! I honestly wasn't feeling very good, but it's hard not to smile when you look around at everyone dancing and screaming their heart out! As a former theater kid, (but you never really stop being one) I can attest this place totally has that vibe, as others have said. Tramp Stamp Grannies was formerly known as and now occupies what was 'The Beauty Bar' but has come a long way after being curated by Daren Criss and we love that and love that we have a little tiny bit of New York that we can walk to. They are open Thursdays Fridays & Saturdays. They have a piano and a piano player and reminds me of Marie Crisis in New York but with a solid Hollywood Art Deco-esque overlay. Patti LuPone actually popped into this place several weeks ago and we hope she does again as id love to sing with her from any given Sondheim musical of her choice. Labeled an energetic retro-style piano bar with 1920s decor - the decor and drinks (great happy hour deals) live up to the expectations. However, during my visit the live piano music was lacking. During the entirety of the visit (couple of hours), the pianist was only playing Disney-themed/esque songs and looking after the 2 other visitors that were sat in front of him to sing along. There was no advertisement made online about the nature of the music being played - so we're assuming this selection was at the preference of the pianist. We saw multiple people come and go quickly, likely because of this. I do understand music is subjective, but would be cool to see the concept of live music being catered to the entirety of the audience, not just the happy few. Having visited from pretty far away, I can now only imagine what the bar is like on a good day. :) read more

Yesssssss for Tramp Stamp Grannys!!! An epic piano bar that caters to the ladies and has the biggest theater kid energy ever! They do themed sing alongs (tonight will be rocky horror), last night was Hamilton and the sing along brought us in off the street. They do Disney themed nights. Musical bingo, it is such a great place to sing your little heart out. Alexx, our smoking bartender and bar manager was the living end!!! She recommended her specialty cocktail and it did not disappoint. Her energy was unmatched and was a blast to party with at the bar. Everyone is so friendly and attentive, delicious drinks while you sing along to the piano man. I was so excited to check out a piano bar in Hollywood. I did visit this bar before the pandemic and I don't remember live music so this is a nice change. They have happy hour from 8-10pm which made having a few cocktails very reasonable for the area. My only complaint was the music being played by the pianist. I felt like he wasn't reading the room but just playing music for him and his friends to enjoy who were sitting up by the piano and singing along which also got old. I can tell by looking around that people were enjoying their drinks but left quite quickly - you can tell when people are feeling the ambiance or not and in this case, many were walking out. I get that people love cartoons and disney type music but 95% was too much. I was hoping for a variety and not have to hear "Bear Necessity" - I'm not 8 years old. That being said, maybe another pianist would be better and I'd be down to try again another time. The bar itself was really cute and would love to bring more out of town friends here but the music needs to improve. read more

Had a great experience here on a Friday night! A piano/singalong bar, this place is good vibes all around. The pianist the night we came was taking song requests, and singing a mix of pop, Disney, and musical theater songs. House shots are $10 each for a pretty big shot, so I'd say good value for the area. We also tried their seasonal espresso martini (5/5), that had hints of chai and maybe gingerbread - delicious!! There is seating and standing room, but most of the small tables with seats had reserved signs on them. There's also two larger rooms with tables, an intimate space for a group but with still plenty of open access to the bar/music. The bar was decorated for Christmas, although I wish they had a few more themed Christmas drinks, as most offered were fall/autumn vibes. Overall a wonderful experience! read more

Came here for a fun impromptu musical bingo night with my financé! We've always been fans of Mr Criss and Mrs. Von Criss, so we were very excited to finally visit their bar-- let alone a piano bar! When we first got there, we were obsessed with the decor in the intimate space. It's not TOO crowded to where you'd feel like you couldn't move anywhere, but not too big to where the space felt almost impossible to fill. We tried their Boob Soup, and it packed a punch! I can see why they limit it to 2 per person. Be aware, this establishment doesn't serve food as they specialize more in drinks. They do have some pre-packaged bags of chips (we got Lays Sour Cream & Onion), so come prepared by already eating prior, or nothing at all to get to your buzz quicker hehe. Theater kid energy in the best way!!! Stumbled upon this piano bar by chance just because the outside looked cool. If you like fruity drinks, order boob soup (lychee vodka cocktail) so yummy. I hate old fashions but my friends liked the old faithful (earl grey bourbon). Free water dispensers on the sides of the bar too. The space is quite intimate with little sitting room so be prepared to stand. Which isn't hard because the music selection will make you dance all night. Disney songs, Lady Gaga, ABBA, etc we had so much fun singing our hearts out! Amazing pianists with amazing vocals and the bartender sang too and she was of course fabulous. We ended up leaving around 1130pm when it started to get hot and crowded. Super lucky to have found this gem. Need to come back! read more

Piano bars are soooo fun but a piano bar that plays tons of theater songs? I'M IN!! Highlight was the pianist and bartender doing Defying Gravity together. It's like we were transported to the Pantages down the street :) They also played stuff like Britney, Gaga, Abba, Disney - such a fun mix! And so much talent. There are QR codes around where you can venmo the pianist if you don't have cash to request a song. The decor is soooo cute. Pink, retro yet modern, unique, just a really fun vibe. And the clientele were all ages, not typical Hollywood night life scene. Loved it. Website says dress to impress but most everyone was in jeans so it's still relatively casual. Most of the booths were reserved but cleared up as the night went on. There were also some chairs around the bar for anyone who wants to take a break from dancing n groovin. They have a full bar as well as multiple complimentary water dispensers. Aaaaand there was no cover! Parking is horrid. Friday night in Hollywood you either pay $30+ to park or drive around until you find a spot. So plan ahead. A perfect end to Friday date night. This was a real fun place to visit for my birthday. The cocktails were on point, the service was great, the piano man was good. (Not the best...definitely too many classics he didn't know or didn't want to play...a little poppy for my taste but I'm also 47...and it was a little weird that his mom, sister(?)/and wife(?) were there, but whatever). We danced and imbibed and it was cool. The ONE THING tho that I REALLLLLLLLY hated was getting the bill for the night (approx 1.5 hours) and having an AUTOMATIC gratuity added to our bill AND TAXED on that gratuity, and then egregiously provided yet another option to tip the staff. I'm not even sure how that's legal on a party of 4. - actually 2. I think our friends were smarter and paid cash instead of with debit. The auto added tip was 20%. I went here the other night to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place is super cute, cocktails are pretty good. Great place for taking Instagram pics! I loved the live music. The piano takes requests, so you just send them money on Venmo or give them cash and they'll play anything you want. People were requesting Broadway, Disney, rock... it was pretty fun. He even knew some Taylor Swift, which we were very happy about LOL. We were going to leave early but then the bartender got on top of the bar and sang Defying Gravity... we ended up staying for 3 more rounds haha. I don't think I've seen anything like that in LA, it made our night! She was shaking drinks while singing! Everyone had their phones out recording her, she was like a celebrity. I make it a point to avoid Hollywood like the plague but this place is worth the trouble. My group showed up 5 minutes before they opened at 8 and there was quickly a line behind us. Know that on Saturday nights at least the majority of tables are reserved, so if you have a group I very much recommend springing for reserved table status. Because we were first in line we were able to beeline to the small line of unreserved tables the doorman told us we could sit at. Thanks to the piano sing-a-long the vibe here is super fun. One minute you're singing Gaga, the next minute the Hamilton soundtrack, there's a little something for everyone. I do wish they had a louder sound system, as the place filled up it got really hard to hear the songs, but we could hear our own conversations so I guess that's a gift and a course. Around 10pm we were told the tables were sitting at were reserved so we'd have to move within 15 minutes. Mind you when we sat there was no reserved sign and our waitress didn't mention it once. A security person then came over before the 15 mins was up (we were still paying bills and waiting in stupid lines for restrooms) and gave my friend "you gotta go" tap on the shoulder, and I was again reminded why I dislike Hollywood. All that said I believe if you reserve a table and/or come during a weeknight this place can be really fun, and worth going to at least once. read more

Came to this place in Hollywood from a recommendation, got in line with about 25 people in line with took almost an hour. I like that set up outside, which showcases a man and a women who had tattoos and dressed in 1920- 30s era. After a few more mins playing with my phone. Finally, I was in!! After getting in here, the vibes, moods, and music were all just so incredible! Everyone was dancing, vibing, and just having a wonderful time! I got a round of drinks which did not take that long either. I do also like how they had a water dispenser on the left side of the bar. So very convenient. A couple of friends and I decided to try out this bar. We got there around 8:15 and were the first people to arrive. The bartenders were immediately attentive and let us know the pianist doesn't arrive until 9. Getting there early allowed us to have our pick of seats. We tried a variety of the cocktails, all of which were unique and delicious. By 9:30 the place was packed. Our only complaint was that the menu states that any tabs over $100 charge an automatic gratuity of 18%. That's totally fine, however our tab was decidedly under $100 and we were still charged the automatic gratuity. Not a huge deal as we were going to tip anyway, but I suspect they do this to every tab, and if that's the case, customers should be informed that all tabs will incur this charge, not just tabs over $100 as their menu states. read more

Also this bar is very Disney friendly with most of the songs being from Disney movies. They have mostly standing room with most booths needing a reservation or bottle service. I do enjoy her Coyote Ugly moments when she sings in full voice on the bar top. Josh the bartender is polite, professional, and very friendly. I've noticed the bar runs efficiently and smoothly. The performer Lisa Crawley has a beautiful and powerful voice. Mama has pipes! She sings everyone's requests with passion and love. The entire bar is modern but charming and cozy. The decor consists of velvet seating, dim lighting, cozy booths in each corner with expressive art work on the walls.
