I would definitely call this place a hidden gem. The reason is, I was initially unaware of this show until my sister let us know about it. This place is in the middle of a great shopping center. This is truly one of those places that you should take a family member who is visiting from another country/state and who enjoys magic/comedy. There are actual souvenir shops close by. Also, park on P2 near the elevators to be in close proximity. We were surprised because we were the only ones signed up for the dinner and show. It actually worked out really great because not only did we have a lot of food, but we had a private show which all of us got to participate in. Now that this place is closed I can be honest... this show was very mid. Granted, I only saw it once and I've heard they had rotating magicians so maybe it was better sometimes. Kip has a nice singing voice. Kids would've definitely enjoy this more than adults. Food was just okay. Kip informed audiences through a preshow about his alcoholism and how he overcame it, which, sincerely, good for him. Apparently he had a rough life. I thought it was kinda weird for a show that caters to all ages, though. Kids don't need to know about all that. I actually found out about the place because I was applying to possibly work there. I ended up not taking the job, as I felt a lack of professionalism seeing as to how I had to reach out to them and inquire about training. Oh yeah, and I was told if a bug is in the coffee, just scoop it out. Nice. It's a shame because the cafe portion was actually quite charming and well-decorated. I came to the magic show and shop with my daughter in law and everything about it was incredible. You get to shop for magic tricks and take care of your sweet tooth at the same time. They also serve you dinner for a very good price while watching the show if you want it. The food was very good they offered chicken and ribs with rice and a salad. Sent an update request on Yelp to mark location as closed but it looks like it was reviewed and kept as open on Yelp for whatever reason. We came here on a recent visit to California with my family. My mom found this show when she planned the activities for our trip. This show was listed as one of the best activities to do in Anaheim. I'll tell you this. It is located in a very cool shopping center/village area. There's a lot of cool shops and restaurants. We found the place and it just seemed like it didn't belong. It's like a coffee shop when you enter and you have to tell them you have tickets to the show. So they make you wait in the coffee shop until the show begins. The shop itself smelled weird. I couldn't put my finger on what it was but kind of smelled like pee. I just waited outside until it was time to go in. Once it was time, they did a quick presentation and opened up a door to another room. Then they called us into a showroom and showed us our seats. It was fine at first. They fed us kale salad, ribs, croissants, chicken, and a cookie. It actually was pretty good. And then I was like hmm this salad taste so familiar. And so do the croissants and the cookie. I think they bought all the food from Costco. No complaints though because I love Costco food but just saying it all tasted familiar. The magic show was not spectacular at all. We were sitting in the front. My dad was pretty much right in the front center. Kip Barry just seemed unskilled in what he was doing. He kept making mistakes and my dad could see every trick of how he did it. Even after the show, several people went to the bathroom and were talking about the show. They couldn't believe what they saw. They thought something was wrong with him because he was acting weird and messing up on his tricks. He claims that he has worked with Don Ho and other famous people but I really don't know. We all tried to google him to see what other things he's done but couldn't find anything. Overall not sure why they rated this place as one of the top places to go in Anaheim. I'm also not sure if it was just a bad night for Kip Barry. I hope things get better. read more

Our family of 6 came here on 6/24 and we were a tough crowd. It's not because we didn't enjoy ourselves, but it's because most of us are fairly introverted. We wanted to clap more, but we didn't want to interrupt the act. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were greeted by two nice gentlemen. They made the check in process easy while cracking some amazing jokes :) Just a note, there are no public restrooms here. They were kind enough to show us where to find them though (make a right out the door and they are down a hall near the escalator). Once it was time for the show, they ask for a volunteer from the audience to say a magic word to open the secret door. It's pretty cool! Once through the secret door, you get hit with some refreshingly cool air! They can't have the ac on during the show, so they make sure to have it comfortable for everyone prior to turning it off. It felt great the entire time and we couldn't tell they had turned it off. The room is rather small and I feel like every seat is a good seat. Since the show was fairly empty on Friday, we were upgraded to the gold section and sat upfront in the middle. Kip and the other performers are up on a small stage, so it's pretty easy to see what's going on. They were having some technical difficulties, but it wasn't a big deal. Sometimes technology has a mind of its own. I'm not sure what we were supposed to watch first, but we put on the provided 3D glasses and watched a morbid/funny animation (yes it's okay for kids). Once that was over, the gentleman who helped us get checked in did a funny little "trick" at the beginning involving a banana. It was hilarious! Kip Barry took the stage soon after and performed some magic tricks. A few of his tricks were volunteer related, so he would pick some people from the audience. He picked my step-son for a hilarious act involving a microphone/lips (I don't think he could have picked a better person for that). He picked my husband for a card trick and then brought my daughter up at the end of the show. He made her day and she's still talking about how "strong" she is. We knew how most of the tricks were done, but there was one that we had no clue how it was done. Even though we knew most of them, it was still very entertaining to watch. Kip was pretty funny while performing them. At one point he took a break and someone else performed. I wish I had caught names, but he was the fire eater. I don't know how he didn't singe his beard! He was such a funny guy and his dance moves are on point! :) At the end, Kip opened up about his struggle with alcoholism and how he had everything, lost everything, but then turned his life around. He now donates part of the proceeds to help others turn their lives around too. I absolutely love this! We had something going on after the show so we had to rush out of there and didn't get to check out the magic shop. We kept our $5 Kip cash as a souvenir though. Thank you for a fun night! read more

Last month my family took our Grandfather to this magic show for his 90th birthday. I have to say I personally wasn't satisfied. However if you have children or know anyone who has children this would be a great fit for them. My issue with this show was that it was short. The food was decently cooked and can't complain about it. The service was as friendly as they can be. Though I most likely won't be coming back yet. If you do have young children they definitely would get a kick out of this. read more

OMG! Did we just watch a three ring circus. We paid for RVP tickets and so disappointed. We only got water and the food was in a buffet style with cold meats. A friend got us tickets for my bday. Attended last night (fri). To start, you have to go into their "cafe" that smells like dirty mop (I was expecting to smell coffee in a cafe) It was stuffy and the canned piano music was loud. There is a very not magical pre-show then you walk through into show venue. It was uncomfortably stuffy in there as well. There were a total of 4 people for a Friday night (let that be a clue) I felt bad for the other couple, they had come from Baldwin Park (definitely not worth the drive). The show was like a bad SNL skit. Nothing was funny and the magic was mediocre at best. The main act had his microphone scotch taped to his cheek. We felt bad for the 3 employees running everything. The cafe and the venue looked unkept and in need of a good dusting. It's difficult to put into words just how bad this was. My friend was beside herself, as she had been charged an unexpected additional $15 gratuity fee. Not sure what that fee is for, as they provided no service other than the painfully bad show. Don't understand how they keep the lights on. The 5 star reviews are confusing, there is no way we experienced anything like these people are describing. The show was bad, they offered no food- not even a glass of water, you had to purchase bottled in plastic. Overall very janky and do not recommend. In reply to your statement sir, I am sure I wasn't hard to locate in the footage as the place was empty. And yes, I feigned having fun because I felt bad for the employees. Of my 84 Yelp reviews, 23 are indeed 1 star, if you read them, they are all deserved, as was yours. You are the one that needs to do better. I'm honestly unsure of what I experienced. Definitely something different. First off I'm giving this 4 stars because what Kip does for kids and the people in rehab trying to get their lives back on track. The place is a non profit and commendable. While searching for interesting things to do, I think from the pictures, I expected a bit more of a high end, sit down- service restaurant. I love food experiences and didn't know this would be a "buffet style with Costco food in chaffing dishes" experience. (I know that Costco salad and croissants anywhere.) The service could have been a bit better trained but they were sweet kids. The magic show in of itself was entertaining to the point where we could literally see every hidden trick they were doing. It became the entertainment itself. Lol. And my husband and I still have some laughs about it. I thought we were witnessing the opening act because it was silly and cheesy. I liked the guys personality but his magic was confusing. When the show was finished I was like "wait- but we didn't see Kip". We asked a worker after the show and he said Kip wasn't able to perform that night. Honestly, I probably would have booked it for another night if that was the case. I came to see this Kip Barry fella. The sword swallowing girl was impressive. Probably won't be back but definitely an interesting experience if you want something different and random. I felt like time was in rewind. What a fabulous night. Vaudeville meets slight of hand meets slapstick meets what just happened....We were walking our dinners off and passed this establishment. We popped in on a Friday night and got a last minute seat due to rescheduling. With a glass of wine in hand, we had a pre show that was pretty cute in the lobby. (So cute we ended up buying the gadgets) Then through a "magic" door we entered the beautiful stage and seating area. Song, dance, camp, fire eating and magic. There are tricks that leave you mysteriously hanging and some you get right away. For me it was mostly hanging. However the best part is the small venue and personal interaction. It's a family feel and suitable for all ages. Seriously a night where time reversed. Worth every penny. We didn't have the dinner, as we were last minute walk ins, but we look forward to returning!!! read more

We came in on a spur of the moment Saturday night. Funny in a corky way, which I love so I was definitely entertained from the moment we walked in. The reason for the 1 star knock off is because we did not get the dinner being served. We called at 3:40 to make sure our ticket purchase went through and asked about the dinner. They said the cut off for food orders is at 3:30. No big deal, we just grabbed dinner somewhere else before arriving, but would have been fun to get the full experience. read more

UPDATED***** Wow.  I do recognize that running a business that requires a live audience is difficult during today's times but the inability to recieve any sort of negative feedback and respond in a way that doesn't bully or personally attack the messenger does make me question if you are in the right business. I would think someone who had your experience would be more mature and be able to own feedback.   You are correct in that Yelp is not perfect.  It allows people in the show to leave 5 star reviews and you to try to invalidate legitimate reviews by claiming they are fake.  I did not write my review in order to feel powerful, feel important, or make others unhappy.  I wrote my review so that others could have a realistic review of what to expect, and decide if this show was a good fit for them.....In hindsight I wish I had looked beyond the overall rating and seen the similar trends in the negative reviews.   You claim that the 3D show is not a cartoon but I am not the first to make the same comparison.   Our group couldn't understand why it was included as it seemed thematically misplaced and not cutting edge unless we went back to the 90s. I make no claims on the audience response on other nights but there were no standing ovations on the night we attended and before the show began we were coached on clapping for the acts.   I can appreciate high quality live entertainment and have enjoyed magic shows in Vegas as well as smaller scale acts performed at a high school dinner....I did not enjoy this show.    ORIGINAL*** We chose to do this as a family outing for Christmas. We arrived early as instructed on the tickets but that didn't seem neccessary and I would have happily missed the first 30 minutes which consisted of a 3D cartoon and prank videos that you could find on you tube. There were only 12 people in the audience so our group of 6 was half the audience. So maybe a larger audience would help? While there were one or two bright spots, most of the tricks had obvious tells or props. As a non Christian thr song with God was uncomfortable. Fun show with close up magic. Lots of audience involvement. The meal is a nice touch so you aren't in a hurry, but there are definitely better restaurants in the area. A very entertaining and family friendly show! Do not expect to see razor blades eaten, bullets caught etc... Cabaret is a good description: a little comedy, a little music and dancing and a good amount of magic... In our audience (2/26/23), there were a couple of (less than) 10 year old boys, adults and even our 20 year old sons... Everyone had a great time. Food was good too!
