I came to the magic show and shop with my daughter in law and everything about it was incredible. You get to shop for magic tricks and take care of your sweet tooth at the same time. They also serve you dinner for a very good price while watching the show if you want it. The food was very good they offered chicken and ribs with rice and a salad. The magician Kip was awesome and so was his crew. This is a must go see and the kids will love it. Audience participation is welcomed. Super fun night.

We came here on a recent visit to California with my family. My mom found this show when she planned the activities for our trip. This show was listed as one of the best activities to do in Anaheim. I'll tell you this. It is located in a very cool shopping center/village area. There's a lot of cool shops and restaurants. We found the place and it just seemed like it didn't belong. It's like a coffee shop when you enter and you have to tell them you have tickets to the show. So they make you wait in the coffee shop until the show begins. The shop itself smelled weird. I couldn't put my finger on what it was but kind of smelled like pee. I just waited outside until it was time to go in. Once it was time, they did a quick presentation and opened up a door to another room. Then they called us into a showroom and showed us our seats. It was fine at first. They fed us kale salad, ribs, croissants, chicken, and a cookie. It actually was pretty good. And then I was like hmm this salad taste so familiar. And so do the croissants and the cookie. I think they bought all the food from Costco. No complaints though because I love Costco food but just saying it all tasted familiar. The magic show was not spectacular at all. We were sitting in the front. My dad was pretty much right in the front center. Kip Barry just seemed unskilled in what he was doing. He kept making mistakes and my dad could see every trick of how he did it. Even after the show, several people went to the bathroom and were talking about the show. They couldn't believe what they saw. They thought something was wrong with him because he was acting weird and messing up on his tricks. He claims that he has worked with Don Ho and other famous people but I really don't know. We all tried to google him to see what other things he's done but couldn't find anything. Overall not sure why they rated this place as one of the top places to go in Anaheim. I'm also not sure if it was just a bad night for Kip Barry. I hope things get better.

Our family of 6 came here on 6/24 and we were a tough crowd. It's not because we didn't enjoy ourselves, but it's because most of us are fairly introverted. We wanted to clap more, but we didn't want to interrupt the act. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were greeted by two nice gentlemen. They made the check in process easy while cracking some amazing jokes :) Just a note, there are no public restrooms here. They were kind enough to show us where to find them though (make a right out the door and they are down a hall near the escalator). Once it was time for the show, they ask for a volunteer from the audience to say a magic word to open the secret door. It's pretty cool! Once through the secret door, you get hit with some refreshingly cool air! They can't have the ac on during the show, so they make sure to have it comfortable for everyone prior to turning it off. It felt great the entire time and we couldn't tell they had turned it off. The room is rather small and I feel like every seat is a good seat. Since the show was fairly empty on Friday, we were upgraded to the gold section and sat upfront in the middle. Kip and the other performers are up on a small stage, so it's pretty easy to see what's going on. They were having some technical difficulties, but it wasn't a big deal. Sometimes technology has a mind of its own. I'm not sure what we were supposed to watch first, but we put on the provided 3D glasses and watched a morbid/funny animation (yes it's okay for kids). Once that was over, the gentleman who helped us get checked in did a funny little "trick" at the beginning involving a banana. It was hilarious! Kip Barry took the stage soon after and performed some magic tricks. A few of his tricks were volunteer related, so he would pick some people from the audience. He picked my step-son for a hilarious act involving a microphone/lips (I don't think he could have picked a better person for that). He picked my husband for a card trick and then brought my daughter up at the end of the show. He made her day and she's still talking about how "strong" she is. We knew how most of the tricks were done, but there was one that we had no clue how it was done. Even though we knew most of them, it was still very entertaining to watch. Kip was pretty funny while performing them. At one point he took a break and someone else performed. I wish I had caught names, but he was the fire eater. I don't know how he didn't singe his beard! He was such a funny guy and his dance moves are on point! :) At the end, Kip opened up about his struggle with alcoholism and how he had everything, lost everything, but then turned his life around. He now donates part of the proceeds to help others turn their lives around too. I absolutely love this! We had something going on after the show so we had to rush out of there and didn't get to check out the magic shop. We kept our $5 Kip cash as a souvenir though. Thank you for a fun night!

    Magic!

Such an amazing experience, it was such a funny show. I loved it! They made us feel so comfortable while including us in their performance. Definitely recommend. Thank you Kip, Jayden, and fire master!!!

We have also been there for seated dinner style events with Chef's and it has been amazing as well. Last night my Mom and I attended the 40th anniversary screening of the movie Clue and it was amazing! There were rows of seats and I felt we had a good amount of leg room and the seats were not the most comfortable but they worked well for the amount of time we were seated. It was so much fun, the audience was involved and we had a Q&A beforehand which was neat to learn some background of the movie. The venue has plenty of seating out in the happy hour area where you can grab a drink and snacks. Prices were reasonable, popcorn, pretzels, movie snacks, as well as more sufficient foods like pizza, flatbreads, and burgers. Parking is fairly easy in and out. We were coming in just as Angel Stadium was getting out (and it was packed Angel's vs. Dodgers) but entry was still seemless. Great venue, awesome people, and an overall amazing event last night!!!

I totally didn't realize this was something that wasn't for kids when I heard about it, but it was actually very entertaining and I did not regret the experience!! The plot was cheesy but well executed, and the horses were so cool?? I've never really seen live dressage before and I think this is one of the only places that you can regularly watch it. Pros: - Very easy to get to, especially if you do an uber drop-off to avoid the parking drama - HUGE portions of food- we were served garlic bed, tomato soup, half a chicken, and a pastry for dessert. It's "full-on medieval experience" so you eat with your hands, no utensils. The tomato soup and garlic bread were actually so delicious. Meal also comes with your own choice of soft drink (think lemonade, etc). - There are drinks to purchase, menu is on the QR code at your seat. It was pretty tasty - you get to scream A TON - and it's actually encouraged!! I like spaces like these where you're allowed to be as obnoxious, talk as much trash as loud as you want, against knights that are not the one your section is rooting for. The red knight - staff were welcoming and professional and super helpful - the knights and performers are all super talented! Even though you know the fight scenes are staged, the competition is real and the knights are actually trying to win for real (per our friend who is a knight there lol - it's a real job and they have real martial arts training) - People get super into it, and dress up and groups have so much fun! - They do give you hand wipes, but sometimes it is helpful to bring your own extra Cons: - the drinks are super overpriced because they come with a souvenir cup (which I didn't see explicitly written anywhere when we bought them) that looks kinda tacky lol - the chicken breast and potato was pretty dry, so I would say the food here is very mid and that's not what you should come for - I would wear clothes you're okay getting a little dirty, since it's pretty dark, you can't really see when food splashes onto you - The dessert pastry was also very dry Overall, a super immersive and engaging show with great performers. I felt like the $70 without the extra cake was worth the money.

We did not expect long lines where you check in to receive your seat assignment, which determines your section/knight you cheer on. I think we were seated higher up because we came 15mins before the show started, so if you want front row seats, definitely come early (at least an hour early). If you come early enough, you can even see the horses in their stables. The show and the horses was spectacular! They do amazing tricks leading up to the jostling and there was a falconer act, too! The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here. The most convenient thing is that Porto's is across the street. Trust me when I say, do not drive over to Porto's. Take advantage that you're at the hotel across the street and walk over to save time! There's also lots of uncovered parking on both sides of the property, so you can pick where to park to be closer to get to your room, though it's an open lot, so anyone can come in and out and there's no shelter from the rain. The lobby area has been renovated and is really nice if you need the space and quietness to do some work, wait for your room to be ready, or just to hang out. Staff was pretty awesome too. We had to blow up some balloons and they allowed us the use of an empty meeting room so that we do not disturb anyone in the lobby.

However, no capital or energy has been thrown at this place bc it is dirty & rundown. I, personally, am not hard to please, but my family had had enough. The toilet didn't flush; so when anyone in my family used it, I'd have to go in after & lift the top porcelain lid to manually use the chain & drain to make the toilet flush (that proved difficult bc the gasket was worn out on the seal of the drain inside the toilet). A person from the front desk was called, came in for about 20 seconds, & then left saying it was fixed. It wasn't. It was broken again right after, so back to lifting off the procelin lid again & doing amateur plumbing stuff while on vacation everytime someone in my family used the bathroom. But... the silliest thing was a sheet of printer paper used as a sign posted on a door window to access one of the hallways. To paraphrase, it said: "Please wear masks in the hotel & maintain 6 ft of social distance." Lol The staff is so lazy & demoralized by the poor condition of the hotel that they can't even be troubled to take down some ancient Covid sign from like 2020 or 2021. Again, I wouldn't have even left if my family hadn't complained about the broken toilet. I hope Marriot is aware that the renovation at this hotel is progressing at a snail's pace (or slower). We're loyal Marriot customers... so we understand that this location is not representative of their typical brand quality.

Stayed at Buena Park Grand Hotel Suites from 05/16/26-05/18/26 and it was nothing like the photos…read moreonline. The rooms were dirty, floors turned our feet black, bathrooms had visible mold/grime, stained sheets, and several of us woke up with bites. Room 107 even had a bathtub overflowing with dirty black water, and despite reporting it, nobody ever came to fix it. To make things worse, customer service was dismissive from check-in to checkout. We were overcharged at arrival, staff were unhelpful, and follow-up regarding a lost item was a complete mess. This hotel seriously needs renovations, better cleanliness standards, and better management. Definitely not worth anyone's money. 1 star review is being nice, I wish we could rate it negative stars.
