I opted for a cup of minestrone soup and a slice of plain pizza. Also yummy. Our server/ bartender was wonderful just can't remember her name. Just so you all know you can sign up for free meals .. just ask your friendly server or bartender. Each time you go you give them your card and you earn points towards future meals. I'm getting old now and find it loud but that's to be expected as there is a nice sports bar there. I would eat everything there except the Italian sausage. I want to update my review that the business leadership reached out and said they were able to pinpoint the issues and are resolving the support for the staffing. I'll start with ambiance! TERRIBLE! So LOUD! Obnoxious. And , The DJ didn't take one break so no down time. This remodel is awful. Three longtime friends getting together after a year and we couldn't hear each other. We won't hurry back until something is changed. Ordered a few pizzas online Monday night with a 40 min wait. Ok that's fine. Paid in advance and added a 22% tip. Arrived and was told it'll be a few minutes. After patiently waiting for 15 I asked about my order and was told they had no idea what happened but my pizzas weren't in the oven yet and that it would be another 15 min wait. I get that mistakes happen but this was my experience the last time I went there a few years back. And sorry to say the pizza was definitely NOT worth the wait. Soggy with no flavor or seasoning. Oh and the cashier said the manager is coming out to talk to me. Waited at least another 5 min for that person too and then the cashier said never mind not coming. Our takeout order (one cheese & pepperoni pizza and two Greek salads with grilled chicken) was promised to us for 6:20, and we didn't walk out of there until after 7, which is completely unacceptable when you are offering takeout service. There was not enough grilled chicken for each of the salads, and I found a hair in my salad. No utensils were provided in our takeout order, which is problematic when you're eating a salad on the beach. Nothing was done to acknowledge the poor service we received which is why we will not return to this location. read more

I just had the worst Alfredo sauce ever. It was so watery! I had Shrimp Broccoli Penne with Alfredo sauce and though the shrimp and pasta were prepared well, the sauce was horrible. Have been there quite a bit, but disappointed tonight. I ordered the fish sandwich which tasted off, and a little undercooked . I ate a couple of bites and finished the sides.it was taken off my bill. Now 4 hours later, I'm not feeling well. My granddaughter just ordered fries which were overcooked and tasted like the oil was old. My friend ordered angel hair with just butter; received regular spaghetti. This is the first place that I have ordered takeout (in COVID) other than the Venus, where we order pizza (which is awesome) and I wish that I had used my $75 to buy 2 large lobster rolls from the Green Harbor Lobster Pound (best lobster roll ever and customer service ever!) instead. Mamma Mia's Marshfield was an overall terrible experience. My husband called in the order for takeout and the customer service person was very friendly. Also, she told us that it would be 40 minutes. We got to the restaurant on time but then had to wait in line for pickup about 10 minutes. It would have been nice if they told us to get there and we would make a 10-15 minute line so we could plan (and have our food hot). My husband made the line and came into the car. He asked me if he should check the order and I made the mistake of saying, "No". I trusted that it would be accurate. Wrong decision on my part. When we arrived home, I was flabbergasted to find that my Mom's Shrimp Scampi, which she had ordered with no tomatoes, came with pennw. I have worked in food for over 20 years and never heard of Shrimp Scampi being served with anything other than some type of spaghetti/linguine/angel hair noodle. I called the restaurant to inquire about the mistake as my family waited for me to resolve the situation and our food got more cold. The girl that answered the phone was very nice, told me that it was her mistake because they have a "no selection" button that she has pressed and she was supposed to ask us, so she would get her manager, and that her manager would give us a credit. Once the manager, Jackie was on the phone, she offered for me to drive across town (20 minutes each way) and go to get a new dish. I told her that the nice person I talked to previously told me that I could get a credit. I then told Jackie that my entire family was waiting for me to finish the call so that we could sit down and eat and that I would appreciate if she could just give me the credit. I asked Jackie if the credit was at the restaurant or on my credit card and for how much exactly. The manager I was speaking to at this point told me that my credit would be for either $2.00 for the pasta or for the $17.99 for the whole dish, but she we need to speak to her general manager about it before it could be decided. I was so distraught by this point that I ended the phone conversation and decided to do a Yelp review. I had purchased a lasagna through the catering office in the past that was good and that's why I decided to try this place again. I was tired of cooking and cleaning up the dishes, but this experience just left me wishing I had made my own Italian dishes. Worst food ever, and terrible management. read more

This is a super average restaurant. Not great but also not bad. Fair prices. Adequate service. Took us about 7 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us at the host stand. Our drinks (whatever their dessert martini thing is) were extremely over poured and took 25 minutes to come out. The chicken Marsala was actually quite good despite lacking salt. Several years ago when I first tried this location, it was 3* at best. Some friends and I ate there again 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday night, at the request of one in our party. Even allowing for the fact that our waitress apologized that she was new, I'm sorry to say that everything was sub par. Each of our dinners was simply awful--I can't even remember what I ordered; one of our nonalcoholic drinks was wrong and was promised to be replaced. That never came, and wasn't taken off the bill. (The person who picked up the check didn't want to say anything.) At a house party a year or two winters ago, I enjoyed the catered dishes our hostess provided. I hate giving crappy reviews. Most of mine are very positive, because I believe it's easy to complain, many times people forget to give kudos when they are deserved. I know times are tough, but I really hope this restaurant can regain at least its 3* status. read more

While it wasn't crowded, we were met at the door and escorted to a table in the main dining room, It was quite loud so we chose to move to the bar. I only got takeout from mamma Mia's. My family loves it and it was my first time. They got chicken buffalo pizza and a brownie , I got chicken parm with linguine. I was very happy with my meal. my husband and I were in Saturday april14th. we were promptly greeted by Steve. he was friendly and really seemed happy...It was very busy and hopping. Our server was Joan again greeted us brought us our cocktails. she was very friendly.it was extremely busy and she was working very hard. The manager stopped by to say hello his name was John. I told John how wonderful everything was. He was happy to hear it. What I didn't tell all of them is that I've been in customer service for 48 years. I've trained at least 100 people in my years and the service was excellent! Food was delicious, everything including the restroom was clean. The food is excellent here. This is my gf's favorite pizza in a town full of pizza places. I was not a fan of their first Marshfield site when it was on Plain St, but since they moved it has been very good. With their new site came longer waits since it seems very popular, especially in the summers. I only give it 4 stars due to multiple times having to either wait for pick ups much longer than expected and twice waiting a long time for food in the dining area. The last time we were there we actually thought our server left for the day since it took 45 minutes to get pizza after ordering it when we sat down on a seemingly not too busy time. We've been to this site 3 times for sit down and picked up 3-4 times though because the food is so good. We've gotten pasta and pizza here and was always pretty good. Once we ordered take out ziti with meatballs, and there were almost no meatballs, but it was still good. We might just go to Kingston when we want to sit down next time, but we will still order pick up from Marshfield. I would have given it 3 stars for the service issues, but the food was too good. This is the only place for pizza in town that has given us good, fully-cooked pizza 100% of the time when picked up which we are very thankful for. read more

My boyfriend recently moved to marshfield right down the street from here. We have visited every restaurant in this section of town and it has gotten to the point where I no longer waste my time going ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Every item i have tried ( mamas chicken wings , buffalo tenders , steak tips ,all types of the pizza , specials like swordfish ) have all RULED. always fresh always quick. The bartender Donna is a doll! She makes the best planters punch I have ever had hands down it's honestly and truly delectable and refreshing !!! Delicious place with a friendly atmosphere. I met my family here for an early Christmas dinner. My father is Italian and insisted this place was authentic (and he didn't disappoint). Unfortunately, I was over an hour late to dinner. The server kept my family busy and brought over bread and appetizers. I appreciated that. I ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo with spaghetti. Fabulous!! Made great leftovers too. I also ordered the tiramisu for dessert, that's my go-to when I go to restaurants. Definitely one of the best tiramisus I have ever had. My father and his girlfriend ordered the GIANT brownie sundae and it didn't disappoint. It was INSANE. I recommend ordering that if you're sharing with the family or friends.
