Fun atmosphere and a great local bar option! In a small town, it's hard to find a place for good apps and drinks without driving to the waterfront or Duxbury, but this spot delivers. My go-to drinks are the Mudslide and espresso martini--so good I even brought my 89-year-old grandmother for one and she loved it. Staff has always been kind and welcoming. Bonus points for having gluten-free options (like wings if you ask), which isn't easy to find around here. Decent clam chowder too! I don't enjoy sitting at table for eating here more enjoyable here at bar

Uninspired to go order. Small portions (5 asparagus spears) and just one meatless entree, one app, two sides, I feel like this was a waste of money. Down $62 with gratuity. And tipping on to go orders is always a leap of faith. On this occasion, no cutlery was provided, leaving us the unenviable decision of either eating cold food after hunting down some silverware at the hotel, or use our fingers.

Our waiter Tom was great. He was friendly and always made sure we had something to drink. Our waiter brought some fresh rolls and butter to start which was good. For appetizers we got the pulled pork poutine which was delicious. (It was my favorite thing.) We also got the dumplings which were equally amazing. My husband got the burger although it was a little messy to eat I think due to the bun there were no other complaints. He got a loaded baked potato as his side. I got the special they were having which was steak with a mushroom sauce baked potato with broccolini. The only complaint I had was the broccolini was a tad salty but that could have been my fault I didn't see that they were using a flakier salt and I lightly salted it as well before tasting it. My steak was cooked perfectly. We didn't get dessert but saw a few other people ordering it and it all looked delicious. Overall a nice meal.

They have bar seating so without adding in plastic dividers the tables are placed next to the bar so you are facing the people you are with vs. the bartenders, which is completely fine. I'm just very happy to be able to sit back at a bar. I went there by myself that day and ordered a glass of wine and the steak tips. While I was there, the place filled up quickly, the bar area but again it was socially distanced so there was no problem with it filling up. They have the QR code (if that's what it's called) so you can get the menu on your phone. I was kind of craving chicken wings but I didn't see that on their menu so that's when I went with the steak tips. After ordering I noticed they have chicken wings on their dinner menu and the bartender said you can order those, even though it's lunch. Good to know for next time. The only downside thing for me is when it came out with 3 steak tips, albeit it they were big ones, the plate looked sad to me. They also weren't as tender as I would have liked. I literally ate every bite of what I had and was still kind of hungry when I left so if it was a man who orders that meal, they better order chicken wings too. They have some photos on their menu that look great, such as risotto and scallops which is my favorite meal to order when going out so I will go back with my better half and try some other options. The bartender was super nice and friendly which makes for a nice lunch when you are eating out by yourself!

My husband and I had our date night here over the weekend and it was amazing! We both got the scallop risotto and it was excellent! Service was great as well! Highly recommended we will be returning soon!

Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and those two things made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the main course was a major disappointment. The menu described the entrée as "Chicken Under a Brick - Bell & Evans 1/2 bird." When I order a half chicken, I expect to receive half of the bird, including the thigh. Instead, my plate contained a chicken breast, the drumette portion of the wing, and the leg, but no thigh. As someone who prefers dark meat, the thigh was the part I was most looking forward to. I mentioned this to our waitress, who was very pleasant, but before leaving I also asked if I could speak with the manager or the chef to understand why the dish was served this way. Unfortunately, no one came out to speak with me. I was hungry, so I ate what I could rather than sending it back, but it left me disappointed. If the restaurant serves something other than what most people would consider a true half chicken, I think the menu should make that clear. Better communication would have prevented my disappointment. The service and cocktail were excellent, but because the entrée was the main reason for my visit, I left feeling let down.

I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

We often go, love to sit at the bar or outside when it's open, and we also love the bartenders and the servers. The food has been good, and we especially liked going for Happy Hour to get our favorite craft cocktails, Bar Snacks, and oysters. However, a week or so ago, the menu suddenly changed, and not for the better. The bar snacks were gone, and the menu was -- sorry to say -- dumbed down. The fantastic veggie burger (honestly, the best I've ever had) with green (bean) fries was gone, as were the trash can nachos, some of the tacos, and other specialties we were used to ordering from what was a great menu. The menu is now limited, pretty ho-hum, and unimaginative. I didn't even know what to get the last time we were there for drinks and some food. We settled on the bread and butter plate with meats and cheeses, which was okay, but not great. Some of the salads that were also go-tos of ours are now gone. We are SO disappointed. We will keep going because, honestly, we love the bartenders, servers, and the cocktails remain great. But we really won't be ordering food anymore, except for the oysters.
