This is the worst experience I've ever had. I was greeted by a greasy looking cook, who was smoking a cigarette and scratching his bum. He also had nasty armpit sweat stains. It was my first time ordering pizza at Capone's. It was very greasy. I actually took out all of the slices right away and put them on paper towels so the crust didn't soak in the grease and get soggy. Taste was average but I liked the sauce a lot. I placed an online order for delivery. The driver never showed up. So, I had to go pick it up myself. When I asked for a refund of delivery charge and driver tip, they told me I had to call toast for that. I couldn't get through to toast via phone, but, did contact someone via email. They said that they couldn't do the refund, only capones could. When I called back to capones they refused to listen to me and hung up on me when I got frustrated with them. I've been a customer here since they opened. I will never order from them again. Their manager is very rude. I also have a co-worker who had a rude exchange with them about a year ago too. I have been getting Capone's chicken parm subs for several years because I thought they were the best. White chicken breast meat, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on a large sub roll. A really great sandwich. I am disappointed with the latest chicken parm sub. The chicken is now an overcooked, burnt, breaded chicken patty on a much smaller sub roll. Ordered delivery, which isn't really a reflection necessarily on the business with missing items, but recently ordered chicken tenders and they were way too breaded and a bit overcooked (Could have been the drive), but no sauce was included per my order. Also picked up a couple of pizzas, but I thought the pizza quality was very sub-par. Topping choices were unique, which I did like. Ordered a couple desserts, one was not included with the order. This could have been door dash though, sometimes with restaurants they don't really give the dasher's options in the scenario when they are out of things. Oh well, probably won't order again unless I want to try the entrees, which might be the way to go with this restaurant. 3-Stars for now. read more

Last night. I ordered chicken piccatta (which I was craving) and was very disappointed when I picked up spaghetti with chicken that they use in their salads instead of chicken that was golden brown. They appeared to use butter for the sauce and sprinkled a few capers to "resemble" chicken picatta; there were no other traditional ingredients used like lemon, white wine, garlic, parsley or Parmesan cheese. Basically, I paid $22 for a pound of pasta, one chicken breast and a few capers. I won't be back! There's other great restaurants that deserve my business. read more

If you're from out of town, this place is likely not for you. This is a dive if I had the definition correct. The food is good, the drinks are cheap (strong too). What really makes this place though, it is the people. This place is for locals to gather, and talk about whatever it is locals talk about. Now about food, because food is just my thing. I had ordered the caprese and the tacos. The caprese was a miss for men the cheese was fine, but it's the other things that fell short. Tomato slices were alright, but the very center was incredibly firm. That I can let slide... other notes I have are regarding sauces and slices. I found there was too much balsamic glaze, and not enough olive oil. While I would also have preferred a little more S&P, there were available at the table/bar. The tacos though, were something to be beheld. Not the best I've had anywhere, but still really dang good, especially for a small neighborhood pub like this one. The fish was very light, soft, and fried absolutely perfectly, on top of that they didn't skimp on it. In terms of other ingredients, very well executed. For veggies I was very pleasantly surprised at the slaw. It added a crunch and some flavor (unlike lettuce, which doesn't taste very much like anything). What I was also very fond of was its location below the fish. Didn't hide the flavor, but kept it from falling out when you take a bite. Other ingredients of tomato and salsa were alright, nothing worth writing home about, and the sauce did a nice job tying everything together. For a drink I had one of their specials, I think it was called Dude O'Politan (don't quote me on it). Being a whiskey drinker, this one was a little on the sweet side for me. I will also note, while it didn't taste very strong, after having one I could surely feel it. Been craving plain old cheese pizza after watching so many barstool reviews. I decided to give this place a try. The woman at the counter was very friendly and very appreciative when I left a tip for take out. The pizza itself was not great. There was so much cheese it was almost inedible.. I did really enjoy the crust portion but had to take a lot of the cheese off. Very heavy and greasy- I would probably ask for light cheese next time going back. I am IN LOVE with Capone's. They have the BEST seasonal drink menu, their Italian food is great, and their service is amazing. I am a young woman that gets out of work somewhat late and loves going out alone. It's really hard sitting at bars alone sometimes. This is the coziest place you can be in. It has a great neighborhood-like feel and the fireplace is so nice on a cold night (which we've had so many this year). I had asked locals where I can dine alone without drink creeps and someone recommended this place. What a find! I come 1 or 2 times a week. Their season drinks are all amazing! I try to go down the whole list before the month is over. They are perfect. I have not had a single drink I haven't liked. If you like cozy places this is really the place for you. How have I lived in Weymouth all my life and never ordered from Capone's before? I got a delivery and was quoted 45 minutes. They were knocking at my door in 25! The food was warm and I live on the other side of town. The chicken parm with ziti was served with a piece of cheesy garlic bread and was delicious!!! I also ordered the pub fries which have a Cajun spice and is served with ranch dressing- they were just ok. Chicken parm is my favorite meal and I'm a tough critic when it comes to my favorite dish. Not sure what's happened to this place. We assume it's new ownership? We used to love it. Last time we ordered food the young male answering the phone screwed up the whole order and was visibly high when we arrived. Today the lady answering the phone also screwed up the order the the Italian sub barely had any meat in it. Take a ride to great sandwich shops (Lamberts, Previte's, etc.) and take notes. I've read a couple reviews where the owner/manager (?) blames the new staff. Someone is hiring these people, training them and writing them checks. The people in charge of that are the problem.
