    Pinsa crust

Absolutely delicious authentic Italian pizza (Pinsa)! No fuss, just delicious ingredients! The crust is what sets this place apart! My husband gets super bloated after eating pizza and we have determined that it is the crust. Not with this crust! It is light, airy, and full of flavor without the feeling of being bloated or overstuffed after you eat it. The ingredients are simple and it is only to go. Service is great! The ambience is simple. You go in, order, leave with delicious pizza. Best part is you can order pizza to bake at home or just buy the crust by itself to make whatever you want with it! We love using it for hummus!

I wanted pizza and I decided I wanted to try this place! I walked in and it was pretty small and a little warm inside but that's probably because of the oven they have. The guy that took my order was super nice and recommended the pesto pizza. It was my first time here so I decided to try two pizzas. i ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza and the pesto pizza. I didn't wait that long for my order to be ready so that was nice (: The pepperoni and sausage pizza was pretty good, decently seasoned meats. The pesto pizza was also nice, no sauce on it (white or red) and had dried tomatoes on top and it was also delicious. The bread on both the pizzas was cooked perfectly! It was so light and nicely crisp but not too much where it's hard but in a good way. If you are looking for good quality neighborhood pizza you won't be disappointed here!

WELL I AM THRILLED that I discovered this place through a coupon book I received in the mail. I am always on the hunt for mom & pop pizza shops because they're always SO tasty and fresh, unlike Papa Whos? or domiNOs. PinSarElla is my new fave!!! Especially for crust lovers, PinSarElla is a MUST. Definitely a take out only type of place so I suggest ordering ahead so it's ready by the time you arrive. I was greeted immediately when I walked through the door by their friendly staff and my order was packed and ready to go, they even included napkins and disposable plates (which I LOVE--no dishwashing dinners, yes PLEASE)! I ordered 2 larges to share with my boyfriend, which I will say are pretty small for a large, but for me, 1 of their larges would be the perfect personal pizza size, so it just depends how much you like to eat. Bufalina - YUM! Similar to a Margherita pizza. The sauce is just on another level so so SO good!!! And the basil adds that refreshing invigorating flavor along with the cheese. Of course, the crust is to die for, the perfect match between a crunchy and doughy crust. Amatriciana - AMAZING!!! Will be getting this one every single time. The perfect balance of meat to cheese to sauce. My boyfriends only complaint is there was a lot of peppery seasoning on each pizza. I personally loved it and wouldn't change a thing! Already looking forward to my next pizza night and having more PinSarElla!

The best pizza (pinsa) crust in North County. This very Italian Pinsaria bakes from-scratch crusts and adds fresh toppings like homemade mozzarella and picked-on-the-spot basil leaves. What makes PinSarElla so special is their "Roman-Style" dough. It's soft on the inside, yet crispy on the outside. They say it's healthier, more digestible, and has half the carbs of regular pizza dough. Just know that traditional Italian style pizza is generally light on toppings. So if you want a pound of stuff piled high on your pizza you'll want to go to Pieology instead. At PinSarElla, it's more about the simplicity of the flavors and I can verify that it tastes great. Tip - If Taco Bell's "Mexican Pizza" is your favorite pizza then PinSarElla is not the place for you.

Chef/Owner Michele puts his heart into PinSarElla and you can tell! PinSarElla combines pinsa (the ancient roman pizza) and fresh mozzarella cheese. The result, delicious! Both the pinsa and mozzarella are made in house fresh. This is definitely Little Italy quality, while being in Escondido?? I tried the pesto in a classic size with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, pesto, basil, and parmesan! Definitely call and order ahead of time!

WOW! What a hidden gem! Glad I found this spot. Everything we ordered was made to order and fresh. Ingredients were on point and the crust, oh the crust! Crunchy, airy but still some substance to chew on. This will be my only go pizza spot here in Escondido.

This is truly a hidden gem ! Its actually like crack! I went yestetday and got the Italian style sandwich, it is packed with flavor a good size. It was so good I actually went back today for another one. My got the pepperoni pizza yesterday and it was legit. He really liked it. This the kind of place you don't want to tell anyone because its so good you want to keep it all for yourself. But as a true yelper I believe the word should get out. So come a give them a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I will be back for sure probably, again this week.

The base! So delicious even without toppings!

The Healthier version of the Authentic Roman Pizza - I am so glad to have tried this place and experience the process of making the Pinsa! Their crust is perfectly crunchy outside and soft inside and the dough takes 72 hours to be prepared! It's lighter and won't make you feel bloated after! I tried their pesto, Burrata and eggplant and Pepperoni and even brought some home for DIY! Loved it! It's a take out only spot so be prepared for that! Can't wait to be back!

My first time here and first time trying Roman pizza, the owner Michele did not disappoint I went on a presentation and learned about fresh mozzarella and the way they make the dough, we had soo much fun and learning about his culture and bought a few pizzas after to support :) go check them out and support

This is a hidden gem in North County. Tastes very authentic just like the Pinsa I had in Rome. They sell a variety of red and white pizzas, they make their own mozzarella from scratch, and they sell take and bake pizzas. Everything on the menu is very budget friendly. The owner was so hospitable and was giving out fresh made sample of pizza, focaccia, cheese, almost got full just on the samples! The location is a little tricky to find, but I hope this place stays around for a long time.

The place was so clean and staff was very friendly. Tried the Jammin Ham, Pizza Palooza, and hot wings. Someone in the kitchen dropped some of the wings so we were a few short and they let us know upfront that they were cooking more then came out with the fresh additions with extra sauces so we could try more flavors. Great service, we love that. The Jammin Hammin was my personal fav, I love hot honey, it was well balanced. I love a slightly crispy crust that's snaps holds up the slice well. Bingo was so surprisingly fun, the prizes were certificates to various foods and merch but the slight competition made everyone so lively. Everyone was having a good time, we even stayed for another round and kept the conversations flowing so we enjoyed our dinner out. The host was a darling, welcoming everyone and keeping the vibes going. They told us they think they will host it on Wednesdays so I'll keep an eye out for it. Def will be back!

And, to me a good restaurant means checking on your customers, but, they are a pizza joint. So I guess this doesn't apply. I guess they expect the customers to clean up after themselves. My pizza tonight was burnt, and had a bitter taste to it? Do the employees not pay attention to customers and cook time on their product? Sorta sad that even though they are new, no quality service and product.

First, a huge shoutout to Hector, the owner, who was incredibly kind and friendly over the phone while placing our order. He made the whole process seamless and stress-free, which is everything when you're planning a kids' party. The pizza itself was AMAZING. As someone who is plant-based, it's so refreshing to find a pizza spot that isn't exclusively vegan but still offers delicious, well-thought-out vegan options. That can be hard to come by and Perfect Pizza absolutely delivers. Every pizza we ordered was a hit. Even our non-vegan guests were shocked at how good the vegan pizzas were. This may have been my first visit to a Shakey's where I wasn't wearing a baseball uniform…read more I think the last time I went to Shakey's (not this location) was after a Little League game--one that I played in. That was [insert ridiculously large number here] years ago. There used to be Shakey's locations everywhere. If you played sports as a kid way back when, your team went to Shakey's to celebrate a win. Or you drowned your sorrows in pitchers of Coke or Root Beer after a loss. The location in Escondido is massive. The main dining room is humongous and they even have a nice video game room. The pizza is about on par with Pizza Hut quality and that's fine with most people, especially if you have young kids. And, of course, what visit to Shakey's is complete without some Mojo Potatoes? Basically, they are well-seasoned thick potato slices. I like them and there's also some added nostalgic value there. On the negative side, our food took forever to make which was a bit of a drag. Also, there were multiple uncleaned tables on a Saturday night that remained uncleaned during our entire visit. My guess is the restaurant was short-staffed (both front and back of house) which doesn't make a lot of sense on a busy Saturday night. They've got beer and a salad bar (now that's a real unicorn these days) and you can even get anchovies on your pizza (save your hate, they're good). They also have TVs everywhere so if there is sports being played somewhere, this is the place to watch it. I probably wouldn't return for the pizza and certainly not for the dirty tables. The Mojos are solid and if you have young children, are looking to catch a game, or if you want some decent nostalgia, it's worth a visit. Bonus points if you come dressed in your old Little League uniform.
