We've been meaning to give Tikka Pizza Kitchen a try for quite a while, and so glad we finally did! Wow, so unique and yummy. The butter chicken pizza is a MUST; it's absolutely packed with flavor! We also got a surpreme pizza, which was still tasty, but wish we would've gotten a second Indian-fusion pizza instead. Ordered a potato bun/ pastry, and they must've been out of those, because they substituted for these onion pastries, which were surprisingly sweet and super delicious! Can't wait to go dine inside and try more of their specialties!

I'm no expert in Indian-inspired pizza but we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the food. We are not from the area but was nearby and craving pizza, this looked the most appealing from photos. Located in a quiet plaza (at least on a Sunday afternoon) with plenty of parking. The shop is small with very limited seating. We ordered two 14" pizzas - the butter chicken that was most recommended by staff and the saag paneer. Both were packed with flavor and had a nice thin and crispy crust. We all liked the saag a tad more because it was brighter and lighter. I also had a mango lassi and it paired perfectly with the food - not too sweet and not too thick. We shared one order of samosas (comes with 2) and my goodness, the sauces were bomb. I wanted to drink them. Portions were very fair for the price as well. The two pizzas we got were enough to serve 6 (and maybe more depending on how much you eat). I'm very glad we chose to try this place and I hope it attracts more attention!

Food (5/5 stars): Tikka Pizza Kitchen in Escondido fuses pizza and Indian flavors and it's brilliant. We got a Tikka Masala pizza with chicken and paneer and I loved the flavors from the sauce. I'll be back to try their other pizzas! Experience (4/5 stars): * Price: a little pricey * Wait Time: minimal on a weekday evening * Service: pretty good. They gave us the wrong size though * Parking: there's a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a small, simple shop with some outdoor seating

My friends and I figured that pizza was the easiest thing for a group, and since we didn't really feel like going to a chain shop, we just looked on yelp to see what was nearby. This place came up, and we were down to try something new. We walked in and there's just a counter right at the door, so it's definitely a place where you just order and take it out. There are tables outside if you do want to sit down to eat right then and there, but it won't be ideal especially when it's raining. We ordered a Chicken Tikka Pizza and a Butter Chicken Pizza, both mediums ($24 each) at 14". The pizzas took about 20-25 minutes so we walked around the plaza for a bit and came back to pick them up. The pizzas were piping hot right when we got them. You could definitely smell the chicken tikka and the butter chicken as soon as you open the box and it really filled up the car. Personally I liked the Chicken Tikka more than the butter chicken, only because it had a little bit of spice to it so it had some kick that they butter chicken was missing. I believe the chicken tikka is the one with the darker sauce, so it also had a bit more earthy flavor profile to it. Both pizzas were still very good in their own way though. I'm glad that we found this place by chance. It's a unique concept to put Indian dishes on pizza but it really works! We're never going back to a chain pizza store again since we've found this one now.

I've been wanting to try this place out and when I finally had their Butter Chicken pizza - it met all my expectations. The pizza is delicious! I will go back and try their tikka masala pizza next. I had their samosas as well and they really also tasty. I didn't have to wait too long when I walked in and ordered the pizza to go. The cashier was friendly. The restaurant is small there are a few tables and seats inside and outside.

Super happy to find out there are easy vegan options here. We live right up the street and have anticipated the opening of this very cool pizza place. We had the Achari Gobi made vegan, which was very fresh and well seasoned. Looking forward to trying more options and adding this to an easy dinner rotation.

We tried the Tandoori Kebab, which was supposed to come with a house salad and basmati rice. Instead of rice, we got French fries and instead of a house salad, we got a mixture of different vegetables such as slices of red onion, peppers, and slices of tomatoes with lemon wedges. Not a piece of lettuce! I would only recommend their pizzas.

We have been wanting to visit Tikka Pizza Kitchen for a long time because we love Indian food and we enjoy Pizza. When we pulled up outside we weren't sure if it was open because the glass is dark and there was a bunch of stacked furniture outside. The guy who served us was polite and gave us a couple of recommendations which we chose all three. The kitchen looks messy and unorganized which sort of put us off, but our pizzas came out quickly and were piping hot. In the car ride home the aroma was amazing. We loved the Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken, both were hot and delicious. The Paneer was good, but we didn't like the added ricotta cheese, it would have been better with just Paneer. Overall we highly recommend Tikka Pizza kitchen, can't wait to try the other Indian offerings.

Great Indian flavors in a pizza! The fries here are super crispy and seasoned. The dipping sauce was very tasty too. It's on a the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. We made the order on Uber Eats and our order came out in a timely manner to pick up. This pizza satisfied our cravings.

We are not big pizza eaters but after talking about this place for a year ( previously went to their full service place in San Marcos now closed) tonight was the night. We ordered what we thought was a pepperoni and mushroom calzone and a small Saag and paneer pizza. The calzone delivered actually was a pizza, oh well mistake. But same thing just not folded and I think larger. They were both fresh and tasty with quality toppings. My pizza the Indian style, had green pepper on it which I did not expect but it was fine. It had great flavor, with saag, cilantro, cheese and paneer. If I ordered this again, I might ask for no peppers, but more saag. My husband had the pepperoni and mushroom. Again, fresh sliced mushrooms not slimy canned ones. Great crust, with a nice chew and crunch. The Indian items are what I am most interested as there are no Indian places in Escondido. But that is what makes this place unique. I am looking forward to trying more flavors and menu items, like the samosas and biryani.

We got the chicken tikka pizza. I've never had this type of pizza before, and it was amazing!! So much flavor and the pieces were huge! I loved it and will definitely be back to try more flavors.

FIRANGI Authentic Indian Gastropub -- What a Place!…read more Wow. I honestly walked in expecting a good Indian restaurant... but what I found was something completely different. This place isn't just a restaurant -- it's a full-blown lounge with style. First thing you notice is the vibe. Beautiful Tiffany-colored interior, elegant lighting, and a stunning marble bar that looks like it belongs in some high-end lounge in London or Dubai. Very classy, very comfortable, very cool. But wait... it gets better. POOL TABLES! And not just decoration -- actual playable tables. $1 a game! I nearly fell off my chair. I haven't played in ages. When I was younger I used to be pretty serious about pool, so naturally I had to grab a cue and see if I still had the magic. Let's just say... the spirit is still there, even if the aim needs a little polishing. They even run pool tournaments on Saturdays, which is amazing. So now suddenly dinner can turn into a little friendly competition. I'm already planning my comeback tour. Now about the food -- absolutely authentic and delicious. Real Indian flavors, beautifully presented, rich spices, and clearly prepared with care. Everything we tried was excellent and I'm already planning my next visit because I have to try the lamb. I've heard it's fantastic. A special thank-you to Sky, the lady boss of this place. She is super friendly, incredibly polite, and very professional. You can immediately tell she knows the cuisine inside and out. She explained dishes, made recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Hospitality like that makes a huge difference. So what do we have here? * Beautiful lounge atmosphere * Marble bar and stylish interior * Authentic Indian cuisine * Pool tables for $1 (yes, really) * Saturday tournaments * Fantastic hospitality Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. A perfect spot for dinner, drinks, and maybe a little pool if you're feeling competitive. Let's just say this: I will definitely be coming back... probably way too often. If you see a guy practicing pool shots while waiting for his lamb curry -- that's probably me. Highly recommended. woww

The restaurant is fairly spacious with indoor and outdoor dining, a long bar, and a couple of pool tables in a connected room/area. I found the decor/atmosphere slightly stark and more 'café' than 'gastropub'. Maybe that changes on busy evenings. The food was great, although we noticed they didn't ask about a 'spice level' -- it was a mild one-size-fits-all spice. A nice touch was a metal water vessel that was provided on the table with metal cups. The owner was friendly. The waitress was slightly odd. Wait time for food was a tiny bit slow. We were the only people in the restaurant and we made it there in time for the lunch special, which was a bonus. I was super hungry, I ordered a mango lassi and chicken MoMo for appetizer. When they brought out the mango lassi they also surprise me with a nice little bowl of a yellow daal soup. I scarfed them both down within minutes, which I kind of regret, because by the time of the rest of the food came out, I was almost full. The lunch specials came out before the MoMo but no big deal. The lunch special is really a great value. They give you a ton of food. You get two of the lunch items with rice and naan. I ate a little bit of it, but ended up taking most of it to work for lunch the next day. I had the vegetable korma and paneer tikka masala. I didn't get any spicey because I wasn't sure how hot they were gonna make it and the vegetable korma really could've used a little bit of spice, but it was still delicious. The paneer tikka masala was outstanding, had so much flavor in it. The MoMo was also fantastic and we did eat all of those because I didn't think they were going to hold up well if we took them home. I love how they made them with almost like a little cup at the top that you could put some of the sauce in. Don't be like me though, and give them a few minutes to cool down, the broth inside the dumplings is super hot. I was so excited I bit into it a minute or two after it came out and I wish I had waited a little longer. I would absolutely return to this restaurant when I am in the area.

Chicken choila is so powering, flavorful, and tasty. I am not a fan of chicken breast but the chef did an amazing job on keeping the meat juicy not dry. It has a lot species and ginger in this dish. The chef I believe came out from the kitchen talking to us at the end. He explained this dish is a modified. The original from Nepel is fire roasted buffalo meat (If I dont remember wrong) and is very spicy. I really appreciate he explained it. The portion is very generous. I ate half of the dish and kept another half for the next meal. The brown rice! Oh my...the rice is not soggy and it's legit not boxed frozen rice to me.
