Tried this spot for the first time and we walked into their first bingo night. Energy was great, and there was a mix of ages and groups types. We felt welcomed immediately. The place was so clean and staff was very friendly. Tried the Jammin Ham, Pizza Palooza, and hot wings. Someone in the kitchen dropped some of the wings so we were a few short and they let us know upfront that they were cooking more then came out with the fresh additions with extra sauces so we could try more flavors. Great service, we love that. The Jammin Hammin was my personal fav, I love hot honey, it was well balanced. I love a slightly crispy crust that's snaps holds up the slice well. Bingo was so surprisingly fun, the prizes were certificates to various foods and merch but the slight competition made everyone so lively. Everyone was having a good time, we even stayed for another round and kept the conversations flowing so we enjoyed our dinner out. The host was a darling, welcoming everyone and keeping the vibes going. They told us they think they will host it on Wednesdays so I'll keep an eye out for it. Def will be back! read more

Working in Escondido, decided to stop by and before heading south and being stuck in traffic. Glad I did. Dude at the front was chill and greeted me, told me offers on slices. Decided to do 2 slices and a drink, and added another slice and some wings. Everything was really good. Worked at a pizza shop for years myself. And usually go to different places to check em out. Slices where hot not burnt. Good crisp to crust, not hard wasn't overly sauced or anything condiments where in perfect proportions! Not from here but will definitely stop by if I come up here again! Born and raised in NYC, I'm very picky about my pizza. I can look at pictures and know if a place is worth trying. Seeing pictures of thin crust drew me in....along with a BOGO free pizza coupon. Most of the seating here is long picnic style benches. There are a few high top tables and there's also outdoor seating. It's a very casual place. It wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday evening. Order at the counter, they'll give you a table number, seat yourself, get everything you need yourself (plates, etc), and they'll bring out your food. Now the food....so the pizza is thin crust and it folds. Oil drips off and onto the plate. So, in that sense...it's traditional thin crust. The problem here...either the oven runs hot or they're still getting the timing down because the crusts were cooked unevenly. They were cooked but one pie was crispier than the other. We ordered two 16'' pies- el pepe and margherita-ville. El Pepe is pepperoni and if you're picky like I am...I like the big pepperoni slices, not the little cups which is what they serve here. The Margherita-ville was good but the crust wasn't as crispy as the El Pepe. Service was fine- they seemed friendly enough. 3 stars is appropriate. read more

I liked when they first opened, but now their service is lacking. No follow up at the tables and I've come in twice where there are barely any customers, but dirty tables. After giving this establishment the requisite break in period we decided to place a pizza order to go. Simple pie consisting of pepperoni and extra cheese. To keep a short story short, the pizza was a disappointment. The crust, while semi-thin, was a tough pull, in an overdone but not burnt kinda way. The amount of cheese, even after the extra request, was modest in the amount and not of great quality. Finally, the pepperoni, which had a nice flavor, tasted a bit like it was in the oven too long. That said, when we called to inform them about our dissatisfaction, the manager promptly refunded our money. He's an asset for sure. Being from the local lands, a So Cal beach type dropping in for the first time is like, "Wow, cool vibe", are the first words that came outta my mouth out loud. Then I heard the incredible sound system above being provided by Bose that filled the reduced space well. I watched as two more So Cal-looking families came through the door. This place was slightly smaller than I remember of their predecessor "Killer Pizza From Mars". I did notice what may be original KPFM (I was never a real big fan, BTW) art on a corner of the artfully crafted, lo and highboy, table setups. Perhaps the art is a gratitudinal pass down. Very themely. Several TVs cater to the game-needy, and a US-quarter-sinkhole kids game area. Yes, I have grandkids. Both should keep the family patrons spending. This is an update to an earlier review. Simply said, I LOVE this pizza. The crust has that perfect amount of chew that you want in bread. The toppings are fresh and of the highest quality. When I have leftover pizza, I reheat it on medium-low on the stove top in a pan and it tastes like it just came out of the oven freshly cooked, and best of all the cheese does NOT coagulate into salty, greasy heaps of rubber like cheap cheese does. My favorite pizza is The Red Triangle which is an all-meat pizza with pepperoni, sausage and the tastiest Canadian-style bacon I've ever had. The personal salad is huge, enough for two people to share. The garlic planks are still my favorite. Relatively recently, they added sandwiches to the menu. I've had The Stallone and WOW! Toasted bread, loaded with meat, topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and pepperoncini. The flavor combination is delicioso and a great value. They also have a meatball sandwich. While I'm not a fan of meatball sandwiches, I did sample the meatball and it was tender and flavorful and I thought I would love that on top of a plate of pasta. Dessert. You can't forget dessert. The chocolate chip cookies are baked in-house. Recently they added cannoli to the menu. You get a pack of three and they are utterly delightful and tasty and a perfect ending to a delicious meal. The staff are friendly and now that I've gone there often enough, I feel like their my friends. It really is nice to be greeted with a smile and a cheery "hello" when you come in. West Coast Pizza Co is making some of the best pizza in San Diego North County right now... it's got some hints of New York-style pies with thin, crispy crust (that doesn't wilt) but with Cali-inspired flavors and toppings. The sauce is delicious and I spoke with the owner about the cheese they're using - it's mostly whole milk mozzarella so it has a creamy, almost buttery flavor to it and it melts great, even when reheated in the oven at home the next day. A variety of good local craft beer on tap too - Stone, Ballast Point, Alesmith, all from San Diego, are showcased for $7 a pint, an incredible price in today's market! - old favorites like Modelo, Pacifico, and Coors Light round out the lighter lagers. The restaurant is clean and bright, not at all like the dark and dank Killer Pizza from Mars, which was the previous pizza joint at that location on El Norte Pkwy. It's got family-style seating with nice picnic tables and sturdy, industrial booths, and they expanded the front patio area to include more outdoor seating. The vibe is definitely SoCal with skateboard decks and surfing images for wall decoration, and it feels laid back and a good place for friends and families to meet up - there's even an arcade for the little groms. Staff is super friendly and the owners make their way around the restaurant greeting cutomers and helping with the service. They just opened and are definitely already busy, but the owners take the time to chat with you about the new restaurant and how they plan to make it a part of the local community. Overall, it's a great new location, and I'll be coming back often. The pizza is delicious and a good value for the money, the atmosphere is super chill, and the people are nice. Went here for dinner this weekend since we live close by and had been wanting to try it out. I appreciate the menu options and ability to add and customize their pizzas. Thought the personal size was more than enough for one person and could easily feed two. We got three different kinds and were satisfied with all of them: El Pepe, Great White and Flower Power. Well, normally I am a really easy going guy and I'm not that hard to please, therefore I usually don't go out of my way to write negative reviews although I have written a couple. So, considering (as per my review) last time the Used-To-Be great Round Table Pizza burned the living $*** outta my pizza I thought I'd try this one on El Norte that my friend had told me about a year ago or so. Well, now it is West Coast Pizza. Since I was there I went ahead and thought I'd give it a try. Firstly, the good thing I must say is that the ones working there, which as at most places like this these days, were very young, they were very nice and friendly so I must give praise for that. BUT... (and it is a VERY BIG BUT...) and I am not exaggerating or trying to overdo it, but honestly people it was the worst I've ever had, ever. I know that sounds over the top and reactionary, but let me 'Count the Ways'... Primarily the crust was truly like very old, dry cardboard, absolutely, almost hard to chew. Also, the toppings, pepperoni, sausage, and this ghastly thing called pork bellies or something like that (I hadn't known what it was or I would have requested they substitute it like I did the salami) were genuinely very tough and rubbery. I had never seen a pizza come out like that before, it made the burned Round Table one seem magnificent! It was an all meat pizza, personal size. And, there was very little cheese on it at all and it was quite dry around the edges. I was going to include pictures, but actually the one they show above is fairly accurate. The ONLY positive thing about it was the actual seasoning and sauce itself wasn't bad, but honestly, everything else was pretty awful. And, like I say I'm not one to complain about every little thing. I remember going in there once when it was Pizza from Mars and the place was packed. This evening about 6 PM, on a Saturday to boot, there was one GrubHub guy, and 2 couples, and that was it. I genuinely wonder how people can possibly be happy with this at all, really, I'm not kidding here... So yeah, $22 (with a drink) pretty much thrown away, and I don't know about you but these days I certainly cannot afford to to that very often, even for GOOD stuff that I really like! Sorry to be so negative, but I really at least should have gone to the Round Table on Washington (owned by the same guy who owns the one on Country Club, the one I wrote the review about) and I KNOW it would have been a HELL of a lot better! My husband and I decided to give it a try after missing KPFM and We LOVE their pizza!! I'm so happy they decided to keep a pizza place in the shopping center. On our first visit we tried a couple of slices and they were pretty good! We tried them again tonight and ordered actual personal pies and they were even better!! Positives: attentive staff: checked on my order several times; ambiance is a bit sterile and basic, but very clean; beer on tap; arcade for the gamer; picnic table seating; open and airy. Ordered a pizza to go (pepperoni, olives and bacon). Crust is on the thin side, sauce (which makes a pizza) was lacking flavor (needs some more herbs and spices), cheese (can't put my finger on it, but it doesn't taste right). Price was on the moderately high side, for what you get. Also, if you do decide to try it, call ahead. I ordered in person and it seemed to take quite awhile for the pizza to come up. We had to check the new spot that has no opened where killer pizza was before. The new spot has a great floor plan. Very open, bright, much different from Killer Pizza. It has kind of a surf, San Diego, vibe. We got a small pizza, salad, wings and beer & wine. The pizza was great. The salad was ok (needs a little work). They were out of wings so we will have to go back and try them. We also got an order of the garlic bites. Those are tasty. The beer selection was so so. Hope to see more local beers in the future. The white wine was just Chardonnay. Need to get another option. But these are all minor things I am sure they will iron out as they get more established. The crew in there was very friendly. They have done a good job staffing up. They also have a cool patio area that looks dog friendly. Only issue we had was that you have to order food at one register and adult drinks at another. I am from Escondido. To get good pizza, I have to go to Pizzaria Luigi, Bronx Pizza, knockout Pizza, and Flipping Pizza. They are located San Diego, Carlsbad, and Vista. When I found West Coast Pizza, I couldn't be happier. Their pizza is exceptionally good. The design and set up of the restaurant is very attractive. It's the kind of the place that you actually enjoy hanging out in. I finally got a nice pizza joint in my home town. Although there are cons that need to be fixed. 1. I like the fact that they have individual size pizza but sharing size bigger pizza (16 inches) It's not big enough, and they are charging same amount of money for 18 inches pizza from anywhere else. 2. They MUST make half and half upon request. I have been to many places across the country, but West Coast Pizza co is the only one doesn't. They explained this takes longer time to do. Technically YES! but by a minute or two?! 3. Two slice of pizza and soda sold for $14.25. I understand they are charging a soda for $3.70 that makes two slices for $10.55. I can get Whole individual pizza and pay $5 or more. 4. I like get one pizza and another one for free on Tuesday. But it is dine in only.....why can we not get it to go as well?! All those cons were based on all those successful, well established, and Bigger market pizza joints in San Diego. I REALLY like to give 5 stars but those cons brought down to 3 stars at this time.
