Pinsarella is tucked into a storefront that you might miss if you aren't looking for it. It's worth finding! I had a personal size with red sauce, pancetta, and mozzarella. This is Roman style pizza - a thick but airy crust that is delicious all on its own. It sounds a bit dramatic, but I could taste each ingredient! Super fresh. In less than 10 minutes, I was leaving with my pizza. I should have just eaten there, because I ate the pizza while driving home. It was that good. Can't wait to return and try some different combos. What a surprise. Went to the laundromat next door and saw this place. Decided to try it out based on the reviews. Ordered the margherita pizza and it was delicious. The crust is some kind of unique. Soft, flaky dough baked to perfection and the crust was nice and crunchy! I liked how the sauce wasn't overpowering and the ratio of cheese was just right. I ended up with leftovers and the rest of my picky eating family loved it as well. The only gripe is the basil. There was only one basil leaf on the center of the pizza, I wished there were more. You can't compare what Pinsarella does to what we normally expect from "pizza". If you're looking for a stuffed crust meatlovers with extra cheese...this isn't the place. Pinsarella's Roman style pizza is truly a real find in North County. The crust IS extremely good. You can tell the difference 72 hours of proofing does to the crust. Thin and crisp while a great chew. The minimalist toppings stay true to Roman pinsa. We have tried most of them. By far our favorites are their simple Caccio e Pepe and Amatriciana. They may look small, but they are very rich and filling, while still being light. A definite "recommend". read more

Surfing the net, for places in Portugal of all things, I found a reference to this place for "Roman" style pizza, with a description on a novel way to bake crust. Intrigued, I followed the crumbs (sorry, couldn't resist) and found the place referred to on the international review site in Escondido. After my Weight Watchers meeting (really!), I was starving and my wife wanted pizza. I cracked open the menu on Yelp and ordered a Margarita and a Cacio e Pepe. It was just a two- mile drive to a hole in the wall shop on the corner on El Norte Parkway and the north end of Escondido Boulevard. The pizza was ready when I walked in the door, or I thought it was. As soon as the guy at the counter knew who I was he popped the two pizza in a blazing hot oven and told me it would be just a couple of minutes. A very pleasant man popped out of the office and went out of his way to make me feel welcome, asked me how I found the place (excellent marketing follow up, and the pizza was done. A fully satisfying experience. I took the pizza home, presented them to my wife, and we ate. The snob in me was satisfied with the crust, which was terrific, my wife approved, giving the crust rave reviews. The smallish oval pizzas were terrific. I will be back, especially to try the rest to bake pizza for sale by the door. I recommend you give this a try, it's the best pizza I have had in Escondido. read more

Ordered a pizza via Uber Eats (the Bufalina), basically like a margarita pizza. The pizza was so bland and the crust tasted stale and cardboard-like. For the price it was rather small as well. I had to add olive oil, parmesan and some fresh sea salt to give it the flavor it should have had before being put into the box. It is rare that I would give five stars. I find some pretty poor places have five stars on Yelp. This restaurant deserves it. Great product and great service. I really appreciate the effort that goes into their products. I have had four different pizzas, 2 red sauce, and 2 white. I have also had the meatball sandwich and the veggie. Why give this new pizza joint 2*, when everyone else is totally 4.5? I will tell you our experience...This is an open letter to the ownership of the business. I hope that they read it and are motivated to make some changes on making "customer service" their top priority... On Tuesday, July 5th, 11:00 A.M., after having run a few errands, we were hungry and the night before, my wife read a raving review in the AAA's Westways Magazine for July. Sounded great! Let's go! We walk into the place and there are no customers, only employees. Having never been in there before, it took us a minute to read the menu to see what we wanted to take home. There were three employees: one young woman at the front counter wearing her mask. There was a middle aged man weighing pizza dough and then there was a young woman next to him patting the dough into flatbread. Neither one was wearing a mask. Just as we were ready to place our order the phone rang. After several minutes, we were wondering if someone was going to say something---anything---to us to acknowledge that we were even there! After 5 minutes, she was still on the phone---no one attempted to smile or let us know that "she'll be right with you, etc..." Nothing. What would you do? Well, we decided to take our money and appetite elsewhere. It's not incumbent upon the customer to wave their arms, stomp their feet to get attention! Look, I don't know anything about the restaurant business...I do know that your customer is PRIORITY #1! I was a small business owner for 15 years. When a customer walks in the door...YOU STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING to see how you can help them! Customers are your "bread and butter". No bread-and-butter, no more business. Just look around at the restaurants that have folded; good places, even great places with great food, have been unable to avoid closing because of poor or non-existant customer service! I believe that, in the restaurant business that is so bottom line dependent, that you've got to have all of your provisions ready to go when the customer arrives. You can't be weighing dough or "getting things ready" while customers are waiting to get an idea if/when you are going to take their order. Employees should be arriving early, so that when the "lunch crowd" begins to arrive, you hit the ground running. How long could we have waited AFTER our order was taken is anyone's guess. Another 20-30 minutes? I don't know. Your food can be excellent, your employees can be excellent, but if you don't teach someone in your joint that the customer is King, you're going to have a rough road to hoe until that sinks in to your "business plan". It's tough being in business, especially in California, with all the B/S red tape, government taxes and nonsense...but it's a lot more difficult having to close your business, believe me. Bottom line: we are not going to write this place off. We will return at some point after this review hits YELP. PinSarElla has been in business [near as I can tell] for 2 years. It should NOT take that long to understand how to operate it. Perhaps sooner rather than later, a-l-l employees will be adequately instructed that along with great food, it is essential to also have a returning---and hopefully INcreasing---customer base. read more

However, they do have a major issue, and now that I've encountered I realize I should have read the reviews first because it is a known issue. A true gem! Stopped by for lunch today after reading reviews on Yelp. Wow, this is a winner! My daughter and I shared a Margherita pizza and were blown away by the deliciousness. I have never tasted tomato sauce like this, it was so flavorful. You can really taste the tomatoes! And the crust, I really don't know how to describe it other than light, airy, flavorful YUM.
