Ok so ... as someone who is asian, glasses without nose pads are VERY uncomfortable and slide down my nose (because I lack a nose bridge). I went there on yesterday to get my glasses repaired...I attempted to do it myself over the weekend with a repair kit but I wasn't successful. The lady was very nice and she told me that they could have the repair completed within 5 minutes. She was true to her word but here is the kicker, she didn't charge me a dime for the repair!! I couldn't believe it...so much so that I gave her $20 just for taking the time to fix them. If you are in need of eyeglass repair, this is the place to go! I can't see without my glasses, not even a little!! When my glasses were sat on and broken, I was devastated! I taped the sides and searched online for eyeglasses repair shops! I'm so glad I located this location! I saw others that had terrible reviews and some that even said scratching the lenses could occur! But Manassas Eyeglass Repair has only positive reviews so I decided to check them out! I drove miles and miles, with my crooked, taped glasses, hoping that they could be fixed, I was uncertain being that I called lens crafters and I was told they were unfixable! However, I was greeted with great customer service and the woman ensured me that they could fix my glasses and that my lenses where in good hands!! I mentioned that I obviously could not see without my glasses and asked if it was possible to sit and wait! I was told "Of course" and that it would be about 45 mins!! I am straight up obsessed with this store. It's my new fav family business! I bought Chanel eyeglasses last year. When I started wearing them, BOTH sides of my face, where the arms were touching, were getting swollen, itchy, and oozy (I know gross and TMI!!!). I realized there were Chanel metal plaques on the insides acting as a logo tag and I was deathly allergic to the metal. Now this is MY FACE! I love my face. So obviously I wasn't going to mess with that. Chanel eyeglasses are basically special orders and a $500 investment so it was sad to stop wearing them. I put them away and wore my old Chanel glasses (I know, I'm a fancy brat). It was my annual exam this week and I asked the eyeglasses store for a solution and recommendation and they gave me Manassas Eyeglass Repairs's business card. "If anyone knows what to do, it's these guys." I have to stamp a passport to get to Manassas. It's not very close to me, but I am so happy I made the trek. I walked in and the owner took my eyeglasses and went to work. He unscrewed the plaques, put glue in to fill in the holes and sanded down the glue. Then he put glue on any metal on the insides that couldn't be removed (decoration and the parts that connect the face to the arms). His daughter brought them back out to me and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. They were so nice and humble. I don't think they realize this is something I love and I haven't gotten to use them for a whole year. And even if the solution was easy for them, I would have never ever ever trusted myself to do it myself! I mean come on. Me with a screwdriver and sandpaper... on Chanel?!! About a year ago, while visiting my family in Cali, I broke my glasses and once I returned home. I went online, searched, and found this place on Yelp. Initially, I called thinking I had to make an appointment, but nope! I walked right in, told the girl what happened and they repaired them right on the spot.
