Took my autistic son January 2026. Office staff was pleasant. When we met Dr Obi he was initially pleasant. However his tone and demeanor became rude and condescending, upon learning my son's vision was impaired. As a mom I have never felt so insulted or inadequate by anyone let alone a medical professional. We returned a week later to retrieve glasses and politely requested to have my autistic son check his vision with the new prescription. Dr Obi declined saying it would 'disrupt the flow' and come back another time if there were issues. Worst medical service ever. read more

Dr. Obi and the entire staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional assisting me with completing an eye exam for ROTC/Military Service Academy! I saw some of the 1 star reviews from 2-3 years ago and can confidently say that the clinic management listened to their customers' concerns and made significant improvements. The clinic was clean and the staff at the front desk were extremely patient in helping me navigate the process to get the correct paperwork submitted. They accept TRICARE and made the process easy from start to finish. I would definitely recommend going to them and would come back in a heartbeat for anytime that I needed an eye exam. read more

This place is 5 Star 100%. This location fixed a mistake that another location made for me a year ago. Just last week, I returned for two new pair. Was seen by the eye doc Dr. Obi who was very caring and explained everything on the pictures. Then Iris fit me for new glasses. My insurance covered part but it was still expensive unfortunately, but not their fault. Staff is all very nice and knows what they are doing, and the choice of frames is good. read more

I had a pleasant experience here compared to some of the other locations that I've been to. The staff was friendly and professional during my visit. There was a bit of a wait but it was understandable considering it was a busy Saturday afternoon and only one doctor in the office. The doctor I saw was really nice and explained everything to me. I didn't feel rushed with him and he took the time to answer any questions I had. Once my exam was complete, the contacts ordering process with one of the representatives didn't take long at all. They also didn't pressure me to order glasses/frames and obliged when I asked for written copies of my prescriptions. I love that MyEyeDr always price matches with other retailers! So make sure you ask! I was able to cut the cost of my annual contacts supply in half..... and that's technically without insurance since mine only covered the cost of my exam. read more

I have to say I'm disappointed with them. When I called to make the appointment the receptionist was really nice to accommodate me with an appointment today. However, I asked her if she needs my information about insurance to make sure they take it and she said, no just come in. I walk in fill out all the paperwork and she comes back with sorry you have no coverage. She didn't even offer a vision test which I would have paid for. The eye exam is pretty good here and the receptionists are nice, but don't expect them to answer the phone, see you on time, or care when your prescription takes over a month to come in. Don't expect a phone call explaining that your prescription is late and when it is due to arrive. Expect "COVID-19" to be the reason why your prescription is over a month late. I've seen them on and off for a few years now, only because they're five minutes from my home and they've been full of late excuses WAY before Covid hit. I received a call the day before my eye exam appt. was told that my appt was for a fitting not the for exam so i would have to reschedule and get the exam done first. The rep ended up being wrong and provided misinformation. Day of appt. i was scheduled for 10am. I come in and the older white women who greeted me was not wearing a mask. MAJOR ISSUE. She did nothing about it until i mentioned it to her as she was going to take my temperature. Not only that but the dr himself came into the shop at 10:12am. I did not see him until 10:22am. He left me all alone to try the contact lenses on. When I went back to him his mask was off bc he was eating at this desk area. Very unprofessional. I don't normally go to the liberia location - usually visit the bristow location or another. The only good thing about this place is the latina who was assisting me throughout the process. This is my first (and last) time to MyEyeDr. I ordered two pairs of glasses before Christmas (26 days ago). The first pair's lenses arrived not cut to the proper size. When they had them recut, nobody called to let me know that they were finished, after telling me they'd call and let me know when they were done. After the week passed without my hearing back, I called, and the woman said they were done. The second pair had a miscommunication/weren't coated with what was ordered, and the insurance refused them/kicked them back to be redone, which lengthened the process even further, and they still aren't in (nearly 4 weeks and counting.) This is a LOT of money to spend on bumbling product, and very poor customer care. read more

I am disappointed with the customer service at this location. There have been significant delays with my child's glasses and I only found out about it by calling the store. When I called the store, the manager on duty was angry with me for being angry with the delay. I have never been spoken to like that as a customer in my life. Regardless of whether or not you are short staffed, it does not give an authority to be rude to the customers that have not been updated on a order that has taken much longer than expected. My exam was great and the front desk staff are amazing. The doctor was informative and helpful. However, the up-selling at the end of my exam was very uncomfortable. He, older guy with a baggy suit, assumed that I wanted a year worth of contact lenses instead of asking. I told him I only needed a few months and he kept pushing the sale then looked irritated when I told him I only needed a few months. This is the first time I have seen a different eye doctor in over 7 years. I absolutely loved my experience here! Everyone was very friendly and informative and here was no wait time whatsoever. Also, the dr explained everything to me and made sure I understood what all was being done and what results they had seen. This staff was so amazing! The woman who fitted my glasses made me feel so at home. She helped me find the right shape and lense size. Also, she explained every step in the process to me. Went here for two years - the only thing they do is upsell or try to push sales on you that you don't need. They misquote your benefits - tried to tell me I had to buy a year of lenses in order to use my Vision Benefits. (This is not true.). The optometrist insists you have a complete refit of contact lenses every year. This is not necessary and insurance doesn't cover it. I do not recommend this chain unless you happen to like throwing your money away. read more

Doctor blatantly lies to her patients. I arrived here Friday evening and was directed to a Doctor Salma Chakhachirou who was very short with me and insisted that the Acuvue 2 contact lenses were "discontinued." This wasn't my first time dealing with a doctor that used this tactic to push for more expensive lenses, even when they've been told that these are the only contacts that have ever fit me properly in over 15 years of use. She continued to respond with "try these, the others are discontinued," replies. After telling her that the Acuvue Oaysis were very irritating and painful to me, she then hands them to me wanting me to try them anyway, "the Acuvue 2 are discontinued." After sucking it up, putting them in, and almost immediately ripping them out of my eyes and losing my mind, because they felt like glass shards being shoved into my pupils, she handed me yet another pair of yet something else. Dr. Salma continued to tell me over and over that the Acuvue 2 were discontinued. Thankfully, I knew better. I contacted Acuvue directly this morning via 800-843-2020 and was told by a very nice woman named Michelle, that the Acuvue 2 lenses were not, in fact, discontinued and that doctors receive information at least 6 months prior to any discontinuations to help prepare patients for any changes. Long story short, trying to up-sell clients with misleading information is not only unprofessional, but disrespectful. We're not as ignorant and stupid as you would like to believe. The women at the desk and the woman that runs the contact exam (I think her name is Suzanne) were very friendly and helpful, so it's a shame the doctor was so very... disappointing. Save the headache and go somewhere they won't lie straight to your face just to get a little more money out of you. read more

Oh lord, what can I say about this place as a whole, the doctor seemed professional enough, but the staff at this location is sooooooo incompetent it makes getting in and out of this place a chore, and if that wasn't enough, their factory is disorganized as well. 4 weeks to get some lenses and all they can tell me is they are "in progress" now if you walked into a store and paid 700 dollars for some eye glasses, you would think they would arrive in a decent time. Every other optometrist I have been to takes 4-5 days even for progressives. Guess this is what I get for trying something new. Won't be returning. read more

Getting two stars for customer service. They've always been friendly and professional around my family and me. But I think they're only nice to get our money. They outright asked if we wanted to get more things than just what we needed because our insurance would cover it, so why not spend the money? My brother has always had perfect vision and even has proof from a second professional opinion but for some reason the doctor insisted that he needs glasses even though all evidence suggested otherwise. Not a single person who came in while I have been sitting here left without being told that they now need glasses. Could be a coincidence. But it seems rather greedy to me. The employees provided decent customer service. However, they failed to communicate the fees for the service I received. At the end of my appointment, I received a $154 bill. I would have made a different decision if I had known about the cost before the service was provided. Saw this ophthalmologist last year and they provided a written prescription for eyeglasses. Because glasses are so expensive to purchase from them, I decided to order from an online company. I used the prescription they provided and bought three new pairs of glasses. Well, I go in to see the exact same ophthalmologist for my yearly exam and low and behold, my prescription from last year was written wrong. Once I called them on it, they had nothing to say. They even refunded my co-pay without my knowledge. I have been wearing glasses that weren't correct for my vision for year now and they blew me off once I pointed out the error. Terrible customer service and tried to sell me one pair of glasses, using the frames I purchased from the online company for $170 just for lenses. Waste of time and not optimal care. read more

Ok so first things first., I do not remember names well so I apologize in advance. I was weary to go back to My Eye Dr after a poor experience in the Burke VA location over a year ago. Since then the company has had some new leadership and they did take care of my issues at Burke. My boyfriend and I both decided that we wanted to be fitted for contacts. When I walked in I was greeted very warmly and the lady that blew the air into my eyeball and did the initial part of the appointment was very nice, the Dr. was also very sweet. She had a great personality and very understanding of my concern with getting contacts. I was afraid that I would not be able to get them since I have been unable to in the past because I am BLIND! The Dr told me that there was a brand that she could order for my left eye which was the bad one to try out. I was super excited because I have been denied for years. We ordered the contacts and they came in very quickly. When I came to pick them up and get my "lesson" . The same lady that did my initial exam did my lesson and she was VERY VERY patient. I mean this woman was a saint. I lack hand/eye coordination and get frustrated with this kind of thing very easily. The general manager of the store also came over and offered me suggestions which i thought was very nice. I like my contacts and have no issues. I would for sure go back to this location, but I just moved to California. My. Eye Dr is just in DMV area and I did express my concern if I needed a contact replaced and without hesitation they told me they would ship it to me no problem. To sum it up. Staff was great, Dr was great and they did not screw me on pricing. read more

I can't say much about the price of things here since I only spend $49 for the exam and glasses (yup its a good deal from Living Social) but if you have insurance make sure if its worth getting the exam or the eyeglasses. My boyfriend has Kaiser and can get a cheaper exam at Kaiser but its better for him to buy the eyeglasses here. read more

Went to MyEyeDr for the first time. The visit was a breeze. Dr. Hussaini had great bedside manner. She is also very knowledgeable. She took time to explain your condition and what was discovered in your test. Getting my frames was the beat part. Please ask for Zach. He was Wonderful customer service, very patient, and accommodating. If you are like me I'm so feed up with frame selections at the optometrist nowadays. Everything looks the same and is very bland. Zach was able to order the frames I wanted from a vender. They arrived 2 days before the initial completion day. I was contacted immediately and was able to pick them up in a timely fashion. I would totally recommend this location of MyEyeDr to anyone. Even if you don't live in Manassas it is worth a drive there for your glasses or contacts. read more

My daughter and I approached our appointment today at My Eye Dr with trepidation as we weren't sure what to expect from the staff after a trying couple of months. Happily, we were greeted by a new face, Chau, when we walked into the clinic. We immediately appreciated Chau's professionalism, knowledge of contact lenses and eye wear as well as his genuine desire to help my daughter with her vision correction needs. The doctor was wonderful, as always, and my daughter and I have decided to stay with Dr. Bishop at the My Eye Dr on Liberia in Manassas after all. I am grateful to Pierre, Chau. and Dr. Bishop for understanding and addressing our frustrations with the Liberia staff and bending over backward to meet our needs today. In fact, they met our needs and exceeded our expectations with a delightful experience. I am so pleased with my family's experiences at this location. Joann is wonderful at helping select the frame most suitable for your face. She's helped three of us choose glasses. Based on the comments we have received, she MUST know what she's doing!! Martina helped my son with his initial contact Lense class. Joann worked with him as well. Elvis did the follow up class. I can't give these three enough compliments. They were each patient and supportive as he struggled to learn how to put in the contacts. The encouragement and guidance they provided was remarkable, and helped my son feel comfortable with the process. I'm grateful to them for the kindness they have shown!! There are others I have seen who have been helpful to other clients. I saw an elderly woman come in with her daughter. The lady who helped them was very compassionate while the elderly woman was trying to explain her predicament. I really feel that the people at this location are caring and knowledgeable!! read more
