We had custom mirrors made from reclaimed wood. They are fantastic. We love the grain and finish.

They have a wonderful selection of unique wood grains. Even something that sounds boring like pine looks great when you can get the character of reclaimed. They also have a good selection of woods milled from trees. We had a pair of custom mirrors made that look fantastic. Their web site is a bit sparse. It's best to go and see and select the wood yourself. Don't bother going to the front door (it was locked when we visited). Walk around the back. That's where you'll find the artists/wood worker.

    Finished pine dining table.

Manayunk Timber has a wide selection of reclaimed pine. I bought 6 1" yellow pine boards to make a dining room table. The owner, Stephen, always spent loads of time answering my questions and helping me select my wood. I'm new to woodworking and he was patient with me and the customers I saw him interact with. I gave him a general idea of what I was looking to build and he gave great design and wood ideas. The table came out great and our friends love the wood we selected. I'd highly recommend!

Throughout the process we have been struck by the craftsmanship, attention to detail, excellent level of communication and clear desire to make us happy ("we just want to see you smile") that we have experienced. All of the other 5 star reviews have aptly captured the experience that we did, so I will not go into as great detail as I normally would. The design process was easy - our designer asked pertinent questions that helped us hone our visions and thoughts into reality. We felt seen and heard, in terms of defining our wants, needs, finances, etc. Demolition was extremely fast, and the teams made sure to keep the house as clean as possible throughout the entire process. Each person who worked on our house demonstrated a dedication to quality, and whenever an issue arose, it was rapidly addressed and remedied. The workmanship is noteworthy. When it came down to the final punch list, and fixing the minor details (I tend to be fastidious and overly observant about the detail work), there was no issue, and the work was beautifully completed. The billing and payment process is comprehensive, very clearcut and very easy to understand and follow from the outset, which also made the experience seamless. I would like to mention that dRemodeling has a cleaning team that they have clean the areas that have not only been worked on but also impacted by the construction. We found that they are now offering the cleaning team as a separate service, called dReal Deal Clean. It was a no-brainer to sign up for future ongoing cleaning services, knowing that they have the same ownership, and high standards. We will unhesitatingly hire dRemodeling for any future remodeling needs.

Floors are now uneven, seems are not finished, tile is sloppily placed in the bathroom. The timeline was not as promised, took an extra 2 months; which doesn't seem like that much but I live in a 1000sq condo--It was not a massive remodel. The project was delayed because they got the wrong permits which took and extra 3-4 weeks. I liked the designer I worked with (Emma I think). The manager for my project was absolutely awful at communicating and never reached out to let me know how the project was going and why there were delays-- except in two EMAILS. They would leave the basement door open and the back door unlocked. When we had the final checklist, my "manager" came in with about 10 things he thought they still needed to do, mine had over 40, including things like the trim that was not done. I really wanted to like this company since the designer was so great, but the construction part of the company I would not recommend.

I bought four plants, and despite proper watering and pruning, all four were dead within a week. When I brought this to the owner's attention, she offered only a partial solution: if I bought four more plants at full price, she would give me half-credit for the original ones. Given that we used to live in Gladwyne and spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years, I would have expected better customer service--particularly a full replacement of the faulty plants. Had we gone to Home Depot or Lowe's, I'm confident we would have received a no-hassle refund or exchange. It's unfortunate that a local store didn't meet that same standard.

They really go the extra mile when it comes to customer service. Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. I've been blessed that I haven't had too many emergencies in my house but knowing a Stanley's run can be done quick sets my mind at ease. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.

Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.
