I've ordered with this company before back in September of last year (2019) a surprise box arrangement for my brothers girlfriend and we absolutely LOVED IT! So I didn't think twice when ordering again this year since my experience the first time was great. BUT this time it wasn't so great... I placed my order MARCH 19, 2020 for a "Bubble Bouquet" to be picked up APRIL 15, 2020. Keep in mind I placed the order a MONTH IN ADVANCED. I Dm their Instagram the Day BEFORE my pickup date to schedule a time to pick up and get no response , @ 3:40pm I then DM their Instagram ONCE AGAIN @ 8:44pm and get a response. She said my order was going to be ready at 12:30pm but and I quote "at the moment we do not have a blue box can i offer you white red or black?" I was like ummm okay... (keep in mind I ordered A MONTH IN ADVANCED) I said yea it's fine it's just the box that's going to be white everything else will be BLUE (the color I asked for). I live 30 - 1 hour away from Downey with traffic so LUCKILY i left an HOUR EARLY to arrive on time for my 12:30pm SET PICK UP TIME. As I'm on my way to pick up my order Mandala Sky DMS me saying & I quote "We have to make a delivery in 20 min and won't be back until 5:30" THIS IS AT 11:55. TECHNICALLY I STILL HAVE 30 min to pick up my order THAT WAS SCHEDULED AT 12:30. I get a little bothered but say it's okay this is why I left early. I arrive at 12:00pm and get my order... There was no blue at all... I tell the lady "I though I asked for it to be blue" she said "they didn't tell you we didn't have a blue box?" I said "yes but I though just the box wasn't available in blue" I look at my order in disbelief.. I placed this order A MONTH IN ADVANCE. 85$ for something I didn't ask for?? I even sent her a picture of what I wanted it to look like. I just take my order and tell her to have a nice day. She didn't even seem to care that I obviously wasn't happy with my order. ZERO STARS/DO NOT COME HERE! My Mom found this business on Instagram and I cannot believe this woman has over 12,000 followers. A joke. We placed an order online (via Instagram) for a 36" inch balloon for my sisters 2 year wedding anniversary. The owner required immediate payment via Pay Pal/Venmo and we paid $44.00 for a BALLOON she believed she'd actually receive. The balloon was originally scheduled to be picked-up on August 14th at 1PM. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to pick-up the balloon on time and informed the owner via DM that we can pick it up the following day. She did not reply but saw our messages. These balloons were claimed to last more than a day (a week) and the anniversary is actually today so we saw no issue since she did not reply informing us otherwise. If she would've warned us of what was to come, trust me we wouldn't have traveled 1 hour in traffic to Downey, CA. Anyways, today is the anniversary and my Mom arrives to the business to pick up her BALLOON and the owner stated that it's not inflated. I pardon? What?! She goes on to blame my Mom for not picking up the ballon yesterday as that was the scheduled pick-up date. Ok, understandable....so inflate it? HELLO! You're a "business" charge a $5 fee and re-inflate the damn balloon. My Mom asked her to inflate it and she stated she's out of helium. Lol Seriously? Okay. My mom questions how a balloon business is out of helium and she informs her that they only buy helium at the beginning of the week and we're out of it yesterday. My theory is that it our balloon was never inflated to begin with. We proceed to ask for a refund and it is denied because the balloon was ready at 1PM yesterday. Even if we would've picked up the balloon on time it wouldn't have lasted for the anniversary (today). We questioned if these balloons lasted only one day and again she said no which is FALSE because they handed us an un-inflated balloon and advised us to go to Ralph's for helium. HA. So these "lasting" balloons do not actually last and I would've left this review regardless. The owner was extremely rude and kept tell my Mom that it wasn't her issue and not her problem to fix. My Mom isn't an idiot though, she knew exactly what to say to this "business owner." The conversation escalated to the point where my Mom was demanding a refund and was promised 50% back. Upon leaving, waiting for the funds, she was informed that it would only be "store credit." No receipt, no confirmation but a DM informing her of this. No, not going to happen. My Mom then returned to use her "store credit" and was given a Kate Spade box with the value of $14 that she purchased at Ross/Marshall's for probably $8. She was so furious that she didn't noticed until she came home and I noticed. So, long story short...STAY AWAY. Please see the beautiful balloon my mom was given for $44. Warning Cautious !! I will say this it is a very unique and creative idea I first reach out to them back in August , so I can get pricing on the surprise box. It took a while but they answered in September. (That should've been a red flag ) I thought this would be a perfect gift for my daughter unique and different. So today was the day that I went to pick it up (Nov 3.) So excited !! My excitement didn't last very long. They showed me the balloon really quick and they asked if I needed help to put it in my car I kind of seen that the letters were kind of messy but I said to myself I will wait until I get home. This is the arrangement I wanted on picture above. Clearly said "Minus the upper left hand pink character" I didn't say I didn't want the white Cinnamoroll character and I certainly did not mention anything about the Hello kitty balloon, yet, they added it because it's on the picture I sent them, right?... well, I picked up yesterday and to my surprise there was no Cinnamoroll Character so I went back to the door, knocked, and the owner (young girl who does the painting on balloons) comes out and tells me "We don't do character balloons" Umm excuse me? And you didn't think to tell me at the moment I sent you the photo stating that I wanted that arrangement MINUS THE PINK CHARACTER!? I felt extremely disappointed! To my daughter that was the MAIN purpose of choosing that arrangement and CINNAMONROLL was supposed to be added. I sent the deposit everything was fine. Then comes around the COVID-19 situation. I was informed that the baby shower would be cancelled a MONTH before the event so I messaged them MARCH 20th,2020 that it would be cancelled due to us literally not being able to have events! I respectfully asked for a refund of my deposit because of the situation at hand! I understand if I would've cancelled the event and let them know a week prior, I wouldn't expect a refund / consideration. But because we are in a PANDEMIC & I am left with NO JOB I would enjoy the $130 to pay for groceries, a bill , SOMETHING it's $130 lol. Anyway, they gave me a voucher with $130 credit that works for only 3 months after April. Mind you have NO events within the next three months so I do NOT need the voucher I just need my deposit. So basically they could care less about whatever is going on, they even sent me a PICTURE saying no refunds. I can see why the horrible reviews. Where do I begin? How bout two months ago when I placed my order through Instagram Direct Message. I wanted a hand painted graduation cap for my niece. I saw one they posted and asked if I could have the same floral design and same colors with a different phrase (told them the phrase I wanted) sure no problem, just send the $57 on over. Ok. Done. I purchased a graduation balloon and flowers for a graduation and they messed up so many times. It was very unprofessional and took up more of my time than it should have. I ordered a balloon for the day before the graduation and they got the date wrong so it was not ready when I showed up for it. I had to go back a second time in which they did what they wanted and not what I paid for. They said my order was "confusing" and did not want to fix it. I pulled out the messages and showed them the exact screenshots of the pictures I sent. I paid for a 36" balloon and a bucket of roses and they gave me a smaller balloon with roses. Great balloons. I found mandala sky back in 2017 through family, I was immediately mesmerized by the giant balloons with pretty confetti and beautiful calligraphy and drawings on the balloons. Had I ever seen anything like it ? No. That is exactly why any balloon you order is well worth the price. The balloon is handmade and has time put into it leading it to have a beautiful outcome when the balloon is finished. Nowhere else are you able to customize your own balloon and put your thoughts into reality to match the balloon perfectly to your occasion. I don't think a plain pink balloon that says nothing on it from party city matches the uniqueness of a balloon from mandala sky. All the balloons I have received or purchased have lasted me well over 2 weeks which is usually the same with family members who purchase them. It is obvious that buying a balloon is risky, but it is more risky when you say you are going to pick it up one day and go the other. The owner clearly says that the shop is hot which may be the cause of some balloons damage, which is not her fault. She took the time and talent to make the balloon. Customers should be responsible for their own actions. Simply you can not compare a $2-$5 dollar balloon to mandala sky's balloons, not just because of the price but because of the HANDMADE, personalized, original, giant balloon that you are ordering. The balloon and flower arrangements were beautiful but their COMMUNICATION is horrible. I was set to pick up my arrangement at 2pm and got there at 1:37. I had work at 3pm so I figured I have enough time to get home drop it off and get to work. I let them know I was there and kept sending messages. They opened the messages but no reply. 2:05 came around ... 2:10.... 2:15.... 2:20.. still nothing. I got out of my car and walked to the door and they told me my order wasn't ready. I was already upset because I'd have to come back and pick it up after work (I told her 7 or 8pm). I got to work and messaged them telling them if I could cancel at this point we had set on a time and it wasn't ready which I find it a good enough reason for a refund. They saw the message and no reply. I finally got a hold of someone to go pick up and I again messaged her and still no reply. Finally they replied and said "we're set for 7pm" I said okay and sent someone for it. THEY STILL HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME THEY WOULD ONLY HOLD IT UNTIL 7:20! No girl that's two trips I took to go pick it up because it wasn't ready on time and you still try to give me a time frame???
