Despite the crowd, the staff were absolutely amazing. They handled our order patiently and although there were so many people, it only took around 20 minutes for the dishes to arrive. It was very noisy in here, but that was my only complaint. House special chicken, duck, house special soy duck: (9/10) so gooooooood! The skin+meat were really good and it was so saucy and flavorful. Each meat had their own unique taste. Green beans: (11/10) absolute perfection. The green beans had the perfect crunch and were sautéed very well. PLEASE GET THIS!!!!!! House special beef: (10/10) This has got to be the best beef dish I've ever had. So tender and juicy. It's also very succulent and the sugar snap peas were a great addition! Almost melted in my mouth! Clam: (8/10) my mom's favorite dish there! Not too salty or pungent, savory, basily taste, light, and delicious! Fried tofu: (9/10) I really liked the tofu. The batter was really good and the sauce made the dish even better! Snow pea leaves sautéed in garlic: (10/10) VERY GOOD! Great vegetable choice! Fresh and saucy. Shrimp and scrambled eggs: (8/10) eggs were light and fluffy. I thought the shrimp was pretty decent but the eggs made it even better! Overall, I thought this Chinese restaurant stood out from the rest. It was a game changer and I will for sure be coming back whenever I'm in the area!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Tasty Malatang Chinese Cuisine was…read moredisappointing because of the customer service. According to the restaurant's posted hours, they close at 10:00 PM. My family and I arrived around 9:15 PM, expecting that we still had enough time to order dinner. As soon as we walked in, the server immediately told us they were already closed. My mother politely pointed out that the posted closing time was 10:00 PM and simply asked if the kitchen happened to close earlier than the dining room. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, the server responded in a very rude tone: "Well, you guys can eat and order, but at 10:00 PM you need to be gone and out the door." Another employee then stepped in to back him up, making the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. I completely understand how the restaurant business works. I've been around the industry long enough to know that kitchens often stop taking orders before closing or that staff are trying to finish cleaning at the end of the night. If they had simply said, "We're sorry, but our kitchen is already closed," or even, "We can still serve you, but we're finishing up for the night," we would have completely understood. There was no reason to speak to us disrespectfully. What made this experience frustrating is that we never came in with an attitude or demanded special treatment. We were polite from the moment we walked through the door. We simply asked a reasonable question based on the restaurant's posted business hours, and instead of receiving a courteous explanation, we were met with unnecessary hostility. Customer service is just as important as the food. A welcoming attitude can make guests want to return, while a rude interaction can overshadow everything else. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won't be returning. I also would not feel comfortable bringing my family or recommending this restaurant to friends because everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect. I hope management takes this review as constructive feedback and reminds their staff that even when it's close to closing time, a little kindness and professionalism go a long way.

The food arrived super hot and fresh. The flavor on the chicken was just right. I was pleasantly surprised at the shrimp fried rice flavor. Sometimes the flavor can come across bars, however this rice had the perfect fried taste as well as shrimp flavor. I do wish there were more shrimp and rice. The price of the food was fair given the size of the containers. Would definitely give this place a shot and would love to try in person

It is funny but not funny, she acts like a bully :-/, she gives customers dirty look, and screams at them. Who is she? Must be the owner to act that way and get away with it. Used to be a quick fun stop to get some Chinese food for dinner. The portion got so much smaller, while price much higher - and on top of that, the service comes with a bad attitude. Not worth the stop. There are many other Chinese restaurants within the area worth exploring.

So much flavor you could taste the red pepper and salt! The mandarin noodles were okay not the best but ok. I felt like they added way to much cabbage kind of over powering the noodle. I dont know about you but when I go to eat Chinese food these wonton are a must especially with the sweet and sour sauce. Lastly the honey walnut shrimp was so crispy and sweet. This place was pretty good it had a slight lemon taste I could have done with out. I think I got more full off those wonton chips. The prices are a bit high that was also a bit surprising for two people we spent over 70.00 for just 2 main dishes. At least it was good.

The ambiance was very casual and family oriented. It gave me Tijuana Chinese food vibes, including the fish tank by the entrance. That is pretty common in Tijuana's Chinese food places. If you don't know what Cantonese cuisine is then stop reading now. The waitress was nice but you can't fix "stupid". We wanted to order a combination meat dish half bbq pork and half steam chicken. This is a common offering at all Cantonese restaurants . But instead of getting what we ordered.. we got a whole big plate of steamed chicken a a big plate of bbq pork. I made them take back the pork and not to charge us for it. The next thing we ordered was pan fried seafood noodles, standard Cantonese fried noodle dish with Chinese broccoli, chunks of fish, shrimp and squid. Well there were only 3 pieces of shrimp 2 pieces of squid and the rest was a lot of chunks of fish. The fried noodle underneath the seafood should be drenched in a delicious sauce, but it was not so the noodle was very dry. Makes you wonder where they got the cook from. The last dish we ordered was stir fried water spinach. The spoilage itself but the poured way too much salt on it. And lastly... the bill... $90. I really don't mind paying $80 to $120 for a dinner for two. But this place does not have the server or the guy in the kitchen justify the price. Very disappointed. I don't know how long they've been in business.. but I guess you can get away with a lot these days. We're always looking for authentic Cantonese restaurants if you know of any more please let me know. Meanwhile... we'll just stick with Nobel Chef, Imperial Dunasty, and the occasional dim sum at Golden Island.""

The $19.99 AYCE on social media is deceiving…read more I took my mom here so we could try this new AYCE option this place was offering based on social media influencers. It was empty coming in around 5:30pm on a Friday, but it soon filled to capacity in the next hour. So coming into it, we thought we would choose between Menu A and Menu B. Afterwards, we thought it was AYCE on the menu of your choice + the side buffet where there are limited selections of sides and refrigerated drinks. We ordered orange chicken, Chinese style fish and something else. Again, this was on the thought that we could order more than one item on our selected menu. So imagine our surprise when the bill was nearly $100 for two people? It was a misunderstanding. However, the initial staff gentlemen was completely rude about it and ignored us as we sought to understand. Finally, a second female server came and heard our concerns regarding the false advertisement and unclear messaging. She was able to provide us the price we thought this was for based on Menu selection. All in all - I don't recommend the AYCE option. I think it would be important to make a distinction that AYCE clearly on the menu and at the front - AYCE means each individual selects ONE entree (which is a one small portion) and the AYCE component of the deal is ONLY for the side buffet.

I had the chance to check it out at the physical restaurant and it's better than what I remembered. The salt and pepper chicken wings had a nice crisp to it and was seasoned very well, garnished with green onions, and cooked with red pepper flakes for a slightly spicy but savory juicy wing. The eggplant dish, which I forgot the actual menu name was fried crispy, had a sweet crunch to it in a savory sauce that honestly was life changing. I've never had eggplant cooked this way before but it's something I'd want to get every single time. The green beans with pork was stir fried well with a generous amount of pork for a well balanced dish of soft yet firm veggies and savory protein. The honey walnut shrimp was coated and fried to perfection and kept its crunch as the meal winded down after an hour. The sauce was a perfect blend of sweet richness, but didn't take away from the quality of the shrimp. The restaurant itself was pleasant and seated my party of 7. 6/5 stars if I could.
