Food went from great to awful-including finding a fly in my take out. I will no longer recommend them.

Average Chinese spot. The food is tasty and the portions are in line with their pricing.

Everyone was very nice. The food was moderately priced and wasn't undelishious. Nothing extremely stellar.

I noticed the people working were not the usual owner and his wife. I don't know if the place is under new ownership or if these are employees but the end result were portion sizes approximately 1/2 of what they had previously been. The large spare ribs are $13.95, used to be served in a square take out box that was FULL with ribs. Tonight the box was 1/2 the previous size and contents comparable in size to what a small order used to be. The "large" house lo mein was served in a tiny little box. The only thing that was not 1/2 the size as it used to be were the egg rolls. I hate to slam a local place and my previous reviews of Imperial Palace have always been positive but tonight I was NOT satisfied. What was served was grossly overpriced compared to the portion size of an order a few months ago. I've been a customer since this place opened and I will give them another shot but if tonight is the indication of a new business model, this business is going to fail.....

This is a 3.5-star review if you want to get specific…read more We ordered: General Tso's tofu with extra broccoli, veggie lo mein, veggie fried rice, and veggie spring rolls. The low point was the tofu. It was mediocre. I prefer my tofu dipped in cornstarch and fried so it has a little coating and gets crispy in spots, this was plain. The sauce was good, though, not sickly-sweet like other places around. And they actually gave us extra broccoli, which we always order but rarely get. The fried rice and the lo mein were both the best I've had in recent memory. Very flavorful and full of veggies. Even the spring rolls, which I swear every place must get from the same supplier because they're always identical, tasted a bit fresher. Ever since China Moon changed I've been on the hunt for a new regular Chinese takeout spot, and I think this is it. If they added scallion pancakes to the menu and fixed the tofu, I'd give them five stars!

We got to chat with the owner Ping very nice gentleman originally from Hong Kong. He came to check on us to make sure everything is good that we like the food. Because it's late there's only one chef in the kitchen, the food still come out fast and excellent quality. Very good service, our server is very busy cleaning up the restaurant while still refill our water and tea and comes over to clean our table. Very polite people here. This is the best Cantonese dinner restaurants in East Coast, forget about going to flushing ny or Brooklyn if you want authentic good Cantonese food, get the real one here. Reminds me of Hong Kong Chow fun is fresh homemade, i've never had better one!! We ordered beef chow fun. Beef with bitter melon so flavorful tender beef. Steam fish fillets so yummy why something so simple so good!! 京都骨 pork chop very light batter sauce not over sweet like those in flushing/Brooklyn, no red coloring added. To die for!! I can't wait to try dim sum here.

I could literally eat my body weight in these! Pro tip: dip them in the spicy Chinese mustard & then into the duck sauce - sweet, heat, crunch... perfection! Just be warned, it is very easy to fill up on these before your meal even arrives! From the dim sum menu, we ordered the deep fried taro dumplings, steamed shrimp dumplings & our favorite, stir-fried Chinese broccoli with garlic. I wish we had more people so we could order more dim sum items to share! From the regular menu, hubby ordered the lunch combo #14: jumbo shrimp with vegetables, golden fingers, fried rice & egg roll. He loved it & said he would definitely order it again. Golden Palace is an easy add-on if you are at Mohegan Sun! Bonus: dim sum is available daily, which is always a win in my book. I was pleased that it was worth the visit. There is a large interior but they informed me that they only use it for waiting for your take out. They were nice enough to let me eat a few bites while seated. Speaking of, the people here are indeed quite friendly. Food tried: Wonton soup, crab rangoons, chicken fingers, scallion pancakes, boneless ribs, pork fried rice, beef and broccoli, and lemon chicken. The wonton soup, scallion pancakes, fried rice, and beef and broccoli all had good flavor. The fingers and ribs were meaty and cooked just right so they weren't dry or chewy. Unfortunately not all the food was that great. The crab rangoons were just cream cheese wontons. Crispy but no flavor. The lemon chicken had the sauce come separately from the chicken, and when it was delivered I thought it was another soup. That is how watery it was, and the flavor was similarly watery. While the hunt for good crab rangoons continues, the majority of the food, plus the people, makes this a good choice for your American Chinese food desires.
