Went to Golden Palace on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. We started with the tofu congee with beef and scallions, and it was absolutely delicious--thick, warm, and comforting. A perfect way to start the meal. For mains, we ordered the Sichuan fish stew and the black bean tripe, and both were outstanding. The portions were very generous, and the flavors really delivered. The fish stew had the perfect level of spice, and the tripe was incredibly well-seasoned and cooked just right. On top of the great food, the service was amazing--attentive and efficient without being overbearing. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

I came here for dinner before a show at Mohegan Sun. It's about 10 minutes away from the casino. I came here before and enjoyed the Dim Sum but they stop serving that after 5PM. When we got there were are seated quickly for 5 people. They place looks clean and have plenty of seating. We looked at the menu and all got a combo. I got the beef and broccoli combo. It came with a lot of food for about $20 which is much cheaper than getting food at the casino. But the food was ummm alright. It was pretty salty and it was very heavy handed in the oyster sauce. The fried rice didn't have much flavor and the egg roll and chicken wings were lukewarm. Seems like it was maybe seating under a heating lamp. It was all edible but nothing exciting. Next time I will come back and try the dim sum again and see if it was as good as I remember. We may just came on an off night.

Greaaaaaaaaaaaaat Food ...as Tony the Tiger would say!!!! Greaaaaaaaaaaat Location near the Casino Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Faaaaaasssssst flipin service!!! I mean 5 mins delivered to the table for 4 dishes... and the ambience so cool and clean old Chinese school for sure such a great Asian vibe!! I will eat here every time I visit!! We order kung pow chicken and barbecue pork, fried rice, eggrolls, and Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. All of them were all amazing with old Cantonese style flavors. Absolutely delicious. There are not too many restaurants left like this in the United States and this owner being a business for 40 years at the same location. It Is for a reason his doors are still open as the place was packed on a Tuesday night. Cheers !!!

There's a lot of Chinese delivery places in the area, but few that you can sit down and enjoy a meal. It's a treat when we're able to get out here, order up some dim sum, and then just enjoy a darn good meal. There's quite a selection of dim sum to choose from and it's hard to choose which ones to order. However, you won't go wrong with any of your selections. Worth a stop, and probably tastier and better priced than anything you'll find in Mohegan.

WhenI went to Foxwoods casino, I always stop by to eat chicken feet and beef porridge. I love the steamed chicken feet with soy sauce and the pickled chicken feet, which are delicious when eaten with beef tripe.

I'm from NYC and this place has authentic Cantonese food that can't compare to NYC area restaurants. Every dish ordered was fresh and spot on with the wok hei! For dessert, must have the dan taats!

So much better than flushing, Manhattan or Brooklyn dim sum restaurants, can't compare. What a gem! The last time i have this quality of dim sum was in Toronto over 20 years ago. ( I think you can't find same quality dim sum even in Hong Kong now because they all use precooked dim sum. ) Pig blood not the best but good. Everything large portion good price. Salty yolk buns, the buns is not as good but the salty yolk fillings are excellent. Must try the 叉燒酥 cha siu pastry, 鹹水角 fried sticky rice dumplings? I'm not sure about the translation but it's the best fresh crispy outside melt into the mouth, 腸粉 rice rolls, 牛筋 beef tendons sooo good,牛柏葉 beef tripes so soft. Siu mai are huge and perfect mix of pork and shrimp. You can't miss chicken feet. Everything so flavorful not salty.

I drove past it the first time, but the exterior is intriguing, with waterfalls and small ponds with koi fish out front that caught my attention on the second pass. The interior is large and classically decorated, the kind of dining room that was built to handle volume without feeling like a cafeteria. I noticed the koi fish out front have a quarter machine nearby that dispenses food, a small detail that tends to land well if you are visiting with kids. The overall setup is comfortable and well maintained, and the space gave the restaurant a presence that most Chinese restaurants in the area do not match. The dim sum is the main draw, and it is served until 3pm, so timing my visit accordingly was important. I ordered the har gow and shumai, both well executed and holding up against what I have found at comparable restaurants in Boston or New York. The chili oil is good and worth using liberally. The shrimp wonton noodle soup was a standout and worth ordering on its own. For those coming outside dim sum hours, the full menu covers a solid range of Cantonese dishes. I also tried the fried rice, salt and pepper squid, and chow fun, all of which performed well. The portions throughout were generous enough that ordering with a group and sharing made the most sense. On quieter days, the food quality is noticeably more consistent, which I experienced during my visit. For good dim sum in Connecticut and a Cantonese dining room that takes the food seriously, Oriental Bar and Grill is worth the effort of finding.

It was a wonderful day, after playing at the slot machines for hours, we decided to eat here. We were a group of 12 people. I loved the decor. Everything was painted in a dark forest green, with touches of gold accents everywhere. The chandeliers were beautiful. The food arrived piping hot and swiftly. I ordered a shrimp Singapore noodle stir fry. It was delicious and warm, with some curry and garlic notes. And of course, for me the start of the menu was...the delicious and garlicky bok choy! It's the best bok choy I've ever eaten so far. I just added a touch of soy sauce. My parents ordered a bowl of shrimp fried rice and pork fried rice. Everything was so tasty, that we ate in complete silence! The check was evenly processed...and I gotta say that for 12 people, is a good deal for $33 a person is a great, and a lot of great food that we ended up taking home!
