Jacksonville FL 32223 and signed in for our appointment. The woman, Brooke, handed me a bill for $165. Surprised, I explained that my child has Medicaid as a secondary. She said you have to pay this first or we WILL NOT see him, then we will credit your account when Medicaid comes through. She said they would not refund my money directly, only credit the account. I reminded her that my other son had the exact same thing done with the same insurance and same doctor just a few years prior and we were not hit with a surprise bill. She said this is how it is. She did not double check our insurance, she did not try to investigate. Just threatened to cancel his appointment if I did not pay. Upset now, I said Well, obviously then I have no choice since he needs this work done. I signed the paper and attempted to give it to the woman I had been talking to- Brooke, but another woman came from behind her and said Well NOW your procedure is cancelled because you are rude. I had just heard the threat of my child's care being cancelled two times and I'm not supposed to be upset? And now here's a new reason for cancelling him?? It turns out they had the incorrect insurance. They never collected my insurance cards, they never bothered to investigate why this was so different from my last son's experience, they just said I was rude for questioning and being upset by an unexpected bill and cancelled his appointment. We've had so many appointment cancelled without even knowing until we walked in- We left due to poor office management before, and we only came back here for Dr. Moore to do my son's extractions. Man was that a mistake. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

The office is nice and clean, the stuff is kind. My Mom needs a new denture, so we were there to do the mold impressions. I asked for a written treatment, they gave us a paper that only says they will do the two dentures with the material and price, doesn't specify how many appointments will take. I do ask if all adjustments are included and they said yes. So will see. Now we will wait until the denture is ready. I think they said 4 to 6 weeks.

My first statement to her was that I could not hear her if she is yelling . She proceeded to talk over me saying she was not yelling and I needed to listen to her. I listened ... she yelled, "when you go into Publix 'to buy chicken..." I ignored that because it was obvious she was vibrating low on this good Monday morning. I said Ma'am, we aren't talking about Publix, we are talking about you resubmitting a claim like Jen used to do when the insurance company gave any pushback. I guess that was good, old fashioned, long gone customer service. Thanks Jen, wherever you are. It is certainly my responsibility and I will handle it with the companies we pay to cover these expenses. The next thing I told her was that she was being extremely unprofessional. It was early so obviously no one was in the waiting area... she was loud. Still talking over me, she proceeded to tell me that they were very professional taking care of me and my family. She's 95% correct there; however, let's bring it to the current moment.... Her behavior is unacceptable and anyone in the office on Monday morning can vouch for that. I understand she's upset about not getting her money right away, but I'll continue to do my best to get it resolved. The meantime, go ahead and take me and my family off the books. I brought my 8-year-old daughter to Dr. Marinela M. Nemetz for a second opinion after another…read moredentist (not a pediatric specialist) suggested cavities needed to be filled and recommended a frenectomy using a laser. I wanted a pediatric dentist's perspective, and I'm so glad we came here. SN: Dr. Marinela M. Nemetz runs the pediatric side, her husband runs the adult side. I'm only reviewing the Peds side. Dr. M. Nemetz carefully explained why the frenectomy was needed, but also why she does not recommend using lasers for this procedure on children. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and in a way that made me feel informed and confident in the plan moving forward. What stood out most was how much effort she put into making my daughter feel comfortable. She has such a gentle, kid-friendly way of speaking, and my daughter really liked her (and of course, the treasure box at the end!). The office itself is very child-centered, there are games in the waiting area, an open bay setup with multiple chairs, and TVs at each chair so kids can stay relaxed. Children are even encouraged to go back on their own if they feel comfortable. We've decided to make Dr. M. Nemetz our family's pediatric dentist going forward. If you're looking for a dentist who truly understands kids, takes the time to explain everything clearly, and creates a warm, welcoming environment, I highly recommend Dr. Nemetz.

I have moved on so far from them and I'm willing to pay more money for cleaner better more well trained staff not accompanying that was sold out for the profit of the original owner.
