The Mandarin is my all time favourite restaurant. From the atmosphere to the food, it is a great experience for all. The best part of the Mandarin is the wide variety of food choices. The options suit everyone's palates. You will, without a doubt, be able to stack your plate with foods you love. Apart from the food, the service here is amazing. Overall, the Mandarin is a perfect choice if you are looking for an enjoyable, affordable, and family friendly buffet.

First time here, just driving through this small town and found this amazing restaurant. We both felt like it was the best Chinese food we have ever eaten! We went here for lunch and the Buffet was closed so we ordered off the small eats menu. We ordered 8 different things everything was wonderful. The service was excellent! If you're ever this way you should definitely come here, it will not disappoint!

Buffets can be a very hit or miss thing, and no matter what location you go to the Mandarin Restaurant is pretty much always a hit. I made my first trip to this location on Sunday and was not at all let down. We came around noon where you get to pay $23.99 (instead of the $29.99 for dinner) and we were happy to do it. Mandarin is currently celebrating there anniversary and the place is decorated for Canada Day as well! The staff was super friendly during our visit and our waitress didn't hate me for knocking over my water within 1 minute of sitting down (I really have no idea how it happened, but I felt terrible). The food selection was as good as it's gonna get for a buffet. I was a big fan of the general Tao's chicken, the chicken wings (I only had one, but it was actually really good), the BLT sushi roll (unique but delicious), poutine, sweet and sour chicken (big and fluffy), Black pepper chicken, pork, and pretty much everything else I tried. I did try a scoop of the chocolate ice cream for dessert and it was also pretty good (especially for buffet ice cream). Overall, the Mandarin Restaurant is the top of the Canadian Buffet food chain. This place has so much variety and so many options that it can be overwhelming. A friendly staff, great decorations, and endless tasty food make this place a definite winner!

Went here for my birthday but sadly did not get a free lunch because I was not with 4 people:( We arrived half hour before closing time so kinda had to stuff our mouths lol. The food was great but quite expensive. The dinner was $38 in the evening per person so we just resorted to having the lunch buffet! The sushi was not satisfactory cause I've had better at other locations. Everything else was quite good. For desert I relished a couple of cream brulees and they were very yummy. Giving it a 4 star or two reasons.1) the price 2) the condition of the washrooms.

The serving area, the tables, and even the bathrooms are pristine. The food quality and variety is great. They offer all the normal stuff you see at a Chinese buffet plus extras like Maple flavored meatballs and wings. The sushi section is a little smaller than others but gets the job done. The desert section is incredible and you will want seconds. Try the maple ice cream! We went here twice in the short week we were in town, and I were a local this spot would be on my regular rotation for sure.

Was provided a hot lemon infused cloth to clean up prior to going up to the stations to eat. Cup never emptied without an ask for refill. Very attentive the entire time. We were sat in the 'C' dining area area. There were room upon room so there's plenty of seating. Each room with a slightly different theme. Ours had a wall of beautiful fish tanks. The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

We tried several of the sides and especially liked the beef carpaccio, the chicken croquettes and the grilled mushroom. We got to try pretty much all the meats on the menu and while they were all good, we really liked the cheese stuffed prime rib, the Hawaiian strip loin and the bacon wrapped filet mignon. Our server, Ashley, was very friendly, helpful and attentive. She repeatedly apologized when there was a lull in meat coming by, though she doesn't really have any influence over how fast things come out, aside from telling the meat-servers what we wanted. We didn't really mind, because it gave us some time to talk and digest before getting more meat. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back when we're back in the area.

A NY Times food critic recently wrote, "What I really want from a restaurant is a quiet, well-lit…read moreplace where I can read the menu." This restaurant checks none of those boxes. Firstly, parking: It's all free, but the lot adjacent to the restaurant has 20 spaces for a business that seats 200 people. Arriving cars are to wait at the curb outside for the white shuttle to arrive, then follow this to a free parking place two blocks away. Reverse the process to leave. It's difficult to enter and exit a high van in a tight skirt and high heels. Just saying. We arrived just in time to see the 8pm floor show, but the music was so loud I was praying for it to end. To order from the menu for AYCE side dishes, you have to have a phone that can scan the QR code: No printed menu was forthcoming, and the print on my cell phone was too small for my husband to read. The music was so loud it made conversation impossible, so I made the choices. The kitchen had already run out of mashed potatoes, and green chimichurri sauce by 8pm, and they seat until 11pm on Saturdays. I was not impressed. There's a chaotic way the servers with the meats circulated. Some tables were served steak three times while we were never served. It's a $90 per person meal where drinks and desserts are extra, our table wobbled horribly, and we couldn't speak to each other. It was the opposite of hospitality. How loud was the music? I'm writing this the next morning and my ears are still ringing. There are many other steakhouses on this side of town: Brasa, Ruth Chris, STK. Next time, I'll try one of them.

I had passed by this place a couple of times, and never really stopped. I went online and checked…read moreout the reviews which are all pretty bad except for a few four-star reviews. I thought I'm going to have to check this place out for myself. So here's what I discovered. The food is okay, not amazing but just okay. Probably the lowest priced breakfast I have seen in Niagara Falls. They do not offer you free water, it's all bottled. Coffee is 4 bucks, which is pretty standard. I think the modus operandi is this: they get you in with the cheap buffet and then up charge you for anything else you want to order. Which I get, the buffet is always a loss leader, and they get you on the drinks which are marked up significantly. So let's talk about the buffet itself. Based on what I read from the other reviews, the hot ticket would be to get there right when it opens. That way the food has just come out, it's fresh and hot, and there is enough of it. I had the eggs, the sausage, and a piece of French toast and a waffle. I did go back for seconds to get a bowl of fruit, and try out the tater tots. The food was okay. Again, not the greatest I've ever had and not the worst I've ever had. It was a perfunctory breakfast. But again I tell you you need to get the right when they open to get the best stuff. Would I go here again? I don't think so. There are plenty of other places in Niagara Falls that are way better for just a little bit more money. However, if you have a group of people you're trying to feed on the cheap, this is a place to go. Case in point while I was there, two busloads of Mennonites came in and swarmed the buffet. Bottom line? It's a cheap breakfast, and you will walk out of there for under 20 bucks if you just have a coffee.

We wanted to go to iHop or Dennys, but decided to give the local breakfast buffet a chance, horrible idea. The food was hard and stale. They were nice but definitely rushing us, even to pay. Ambiance was okay. Bright and peaceful. Also, I did not check the reviews before going.
