Well we knew what to expect given the reviews and the price but decided we weren't gonna find a cheaper breakfast elsewhere. Usually bad buffets have a pretty decent breakfast. I'd call this a little below decent and terrible variety. The buffet has less choices than a hotel breakfast. There was one small table and both sides has the same thing. There were pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, chicken nuggets, some type of cake thing I didn't eat, plain yogurt, jello, rice pudding and toast. Again it was ok. I had the waffle and French toast. Soggy. The sausage was not very good. Bacon, have to find the good pieces. Same with the eggs. Toast was strange rice pudding was good as well as the little Greek bun things. All in all would probably not return. They offer breakfast until 2pm but by that point it's all leftovers. We paid full price for very very limited selections. We wanted to go to iHop or Dennys, but decided to give the local breakfast buffet a chance, horrible idea. The food was hard and stale. We recently took a family trip to Niagara Falls and stopped at Almacs buffet for breakfast. For $12.99, I can't complain! They have a good variety of breakfast foods such as scrambled eggs, omeletes, bacon, sausage, tater totes, pancakes, waffles, toast, French toasts, oatmeal, as well as fruits and some sweet treats. The only complain I have would be the scrambled eggs and waffles.The scrambled eggs were a bit cold and the waffles were quite hard. Other than that, for $12.99, you can't beat an all you can eat breakfast buffet in Niagara.The services was very good with staff being quick and friendly. Finally got to try the dinner buffet. It's better value than breakfast. They get 3.5 stars because no one told me there was food at the BBQ station outside too so I missed it (sausages, burgers & two more things). Don't miss it! It's not gourmet quality but at $25.99 you get more than what you pay for and the cold dishes, 2 soups, cheesecake, rice pudding & plain yogurt with syrup punched above their price class. The ice cream is the same cheap ice cream that low end buffets use but it was kept well, so it had few ice crystals. There's even roast beef (though it's a little tough). The chicken nugget I had was dry but that's kinda on me - what sort of adult eats nuggets at a buffet? But then, I had to write a holistic review after all, and that meant trying everything. For a buffet that cheap, my brother and I did not have high expectations. We went during breakfast and luckily did not have to wait long for a table (about 10 minutes) and the place was super packed. The breakfast selection was mediocre, we were expecting them to offer more choices. I knew that they charged for water and did not want to pay for it so we brought our water bottles there. The waitress saw us drinking it and said that was not allowed and told us to put it away. It's weird that they don't give water for free and expect people to pay $3-4 for a bottle of water. The food was okay, there were some that I took from the buffet table to my seat and it was cold already. My brother was not a fan of the food unfortunately. It's not a our first time eating here at Almacs Buffet, the food is great but the service I'm dissappointed with one server. Literally looked at me when the time im waving and calling for a server as I need a cuttlery, what she did is just to ignore me and looked somewhere and helped another customer which is from her country. Tried to go here, but was rushed out saying where we were standing was a fire hazard. They have people going in 2 different entrances and a room that was empty. We were yelled at to leave the restaurant and to wait outside. When we tried to ask if they would be seating anyone other than the hockey team she said when they start to leave. First let me say if I could give this place a 1/2 star that's what it would be. 1 is actually too much. The entire place was dirty. Floors, countertops, tables, chairs, and especially the bathroom. When my son asked for a to go cup for his $4 drink the waitress said they didn't have to go cups and we could go out to our car and get a cup if we wanted. My expectations were not high but some of the food they served were still disappointing. To start, there was very limited selection. For protein there were scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast sausages. For carbs, there were pancakes, French toast and waffles. Breakfast buffet $11+tax = $12 CAD from 7am to 2pm. But all of its drinks cost at least $4 exta, even just water: they force you to pay for bottled water, no free tap water. But you can just bring your own watter bottles in to skip this drinks fee, and return their unopened water bottle for refund. You can choose to eat at outside patio when the weather is nice. Even the breakfast buffet has great filling selections, incuding omelletes, eggs, toasts, pancakes, waffles , oatmeals, fried chicken chunks, bacons, sausages, tater tots, maplle sauced beans , carrot cakes. The fruit salad seems a bit stale, but still edible. We ate our fill to last 2 meals worth, great valueas i know no other cheaper buffet in the GTA region that is still around as of 2023. Really loved coming here for an all you can eat breakfast buffet for $11.99 plus cost of drinks. I ate applesauce with cinnamon on top, vegetable scrambled eggs, beans, no pork but they had bacon and sausages available, pancakes, waffles with icing sugar, oatmeal, and too finish off the finale fruit cocktail and red jello cubes with icing on top. When you think of typical American cuisine, you don't expect the food to be spicey or even particularly flavourful. That is exactly how the food is here. You do have the option of adding salt, pepper, and ketchup to your food to make it more to your own taste. There were quite a few food choices in the dinner buffet that we went for: Mussels, Fries, Pizza, Perogies, Samosas, Steamed Fish Fillet, Seasoned Chicken, Meatballs, Sweet 'n' Sour Chicken, Rare Beef Slices in Gravy, Ribs, Lasagna, Pasta, Cold Salads (Tomato, Tuna Noodle, and Mixed Salad with condiments), Seasoned Fried Potatoes, and Soup. Desserts included Rice Pudding, Ice Cream, Fresh Fruit, and Cake. We overheard another server tell some other customers about a barbeque outside, but this was after we were already done eating our meal. Maybe our server didn't tell us the same thing because we had come in earlier and the barbeque hadn't been set up at that time (around 7PM)? The whole time we were there, we observed the food being replenished regularly. Everything was hot and reasonably fresh. You need to be careful when picking plates - we found quite a few that were either still dirty, or foamy and wet. The all you can eat buffet here is for $22.99 plus tax per person. That is a reasonable enough price for a tourist town like Niagara Falls. The drawback is that this restaurant does not provide free tap water with your meals like other restaurants do. The cheapest drink that you can buy here is a simple, small plastic bottle of water that they charge $3.99 plus tax for (any dollar store in Canada sells this very same bottle of water for just $0.25 plus tax). I guess you can try to resist wasting money on drinks by eating the fruit, but the amount of salt that you need to add to make the food palatable will make you very thirsty. My wife and my meals came to about $70 (2 dinner buffet meals with 2 bottles of water (plus tax), along with a 15% tip for our very attentive server). Our only honest suggestion to this establishment is to start providing the free simple basic tap water that everyone takes for granted.
