Joey and Misha are fantastic! As a girl who doesn't do too many favors for her hair, both Joey and Misha give the all star treatment with lasting results. I always come in for the brazilian hair conditioning treatment that is so worth it and lasts for 8-10 months for me! They also do great hair cuts and just "get" what I want. When I let my hair grow out, you can't even tell because it grows out so nice! They're easy to hang out with for the several hours that I'm there each time, bonus points for Ollie! It's a great space with a really nice ambience, flattering lighting, chill music, and good vibes overall. They always offer beverages and answer any questions about hair, life, LA life, travel, anything else. Joey and Misha know how to put clients at ease and are so knowledgeable about the services they provide. I know there is street parking and a garage nearby, but they're so accessible off the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Booking appointments are easy online. Best hair I've had all my life! I always leave with beautiful blond tones and they manage to keep my hair healthy in the process (seriously, my hair is thicker and healthier than it's been in years). Because the studio is just the two of them, the experience has a personal touch that you can't always find in larger salons because you get lost in the madness. Conversation is great and music is on point. Parking in the garage has always been easy for me to find and the first hour is validated. I'm not just talking about skill set, but service and the overall experience. I love that I can come to Joey and Misha, and expect the best of both worlds. Along with good conversation, positive energy, and hospitality that is, sadly, a bit of a rarity in this day and age, especially in Los Angeles. I always leave feeling better than I walked in, in more ways than one. Located in a private studio at Salon Republic in the ArcLight plaza, Mane Duo is an oasis in the heart of Hollywood. I love that it's intimate and more private, as more traditional salon settings can often get noisy and hectic. Couldn't be happier with my highlights and long layers! My new look not only makes me look more youthful, but also makes me feel a lot sexier. Very overpriced and unprofessional. They have no respect for their customer's time, as I was seated 30 minutes late as they ate lunch upstairs when I was running late for an event. They also kept my credit card on file when I did not give them permission to and charged it after I did not make or confirm an appointment. I love love LOVED Joey and my hair is honestly way better than I could have ever imagined. I asked for an effortless look that would look great without styling my hair (I'm lazy and air drying is the realistic fate that my hair takes most days). I've posted one other review on Yelp and that was to rip into a dentist who orally assaulted my mouth. Fortunately, my trip to Mane Duo warrants my first positive review! Misha and Joey were amazing. They spent somewhere between two and three hours on my hair, trimming and drying and curling as if I had a special occasion later. (Only with my bed and ramen.) Misha would suggest various alternatives for my hair but always deferred to my preference. By the end, I felt ready for a runway and couldn't believe that the price for the cut was so low despite their prolonged collective hustle. Their disonesty makes them unreliable. You should take this into account when using their services. There is no respect for their customers' time. I scheduled a root-to-end hair color appointment last week. They contacted me to confirm my appointment and I did. I showed them a picture of the color I wanted when I went there on a day of appointment. Misha asked Joey for consultation, and after a few minutes I was told they would not be able to do my work today due to a time-consuming process. Misha is not a professional hair colorist, and Joey had a client comming. They simply lied to me and cancelled my appointment without a reasonable explanation. I just wanted a hair color and made a reservation for that. read more

I got the best haircut I have gotten in a VERY long time here! Misha and Joey were so nice, the salon is decorated tastefully and it's clean! Misha offered me a nice cold drink before he got started on my hair. He made sure we were both on the same page about my hair before he started doing anything! We talked like we were old friends! He shampooed me and got started. He was very thorough, obviously he knew what he was doing. Gave me great layers and a nice dynamic cut. Once he got the blow dryer going Joey popped his head in and said "Time to dry?". They both blow dried my hair and styled it together! I felt like I was getting two for the price of one and it really cuts down on time! After my hair was all styled and done Joey put up a circle light and acted as my own personal photographer.
