I've been here several times. The food is good, they have a large selection on the menu. I wish they would get a better sign out front. It's hardly noticeable. The waitresses and owner are always taking good care of everyone. Good home style restaurant. read more

On our way to Missouri from Chicago, these city girls needed a lunch spot. Highly recommend this little place. I love chicken tenders and ranch. So I got the crispy chicken salad. It was great. The ranch was perfect, homemade and thin. Just how I like it. The chicken tenders were hand breaded in a very light breading. Almost tempura like. The salad was fresh, crisp and flavorful. Not a ton of choices in Jacksonville, but this one had a higher rating than many, within a mile of where I was at. The parking lot wasn't very full at 12:30pm, so I was a little apprehensive, but it turned out to be a good call. They serve breakfast all day, and the Country Skillet was one of the better ones that I've had--you could tell the cook knew what he was doing, and the vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. Good breakfast menu! We go here on a regular basis after church on Sunday for hash-browns and corn beef hash.

The service was good, nice waitress. The booth was uncomfortable and was wobbling every time I moved as was the table. I ordered a taco salad with no onions no salsa. The taco sails is SUPPOSED to come with lettuce, tomato, cheese, meat, black olives, black beans, onions, salsa and sour cream. It did not have the black olives and beans as said, and came with onions when i asked for no onions because i have a texture issue. I will not be returning to this location. Food was not worth what we paid for. read more

Prices on the website are not accurate at all! We waited for 10 mins to be seated when multiple workers pasted us (they were not busy). No refills, no one checked on us during during meal. the food was sometimes so good, good quality this reminds me my family owned restaurant in Wisconsin back in 1970's to 80's. BUT the owner sitting watching soccer games on tv all the time ignoring us and the booth seats sucks and sad n' depressed waitress. the owners always ignores me no matter how many time I eat there for many years even they move 3 different locations i followed them. My husband got this for our Valentine's Day dinner!! It was amazing !! Lasagna, pork chops and Salmon! Delicious!

This was my first visit. I went for breakfast this morning and was not impressed. There was no friendly greeting and didn't know what the procedure was for seating. The waitress gave the impression she could care less if she was there. The food was sub par and wasn't worth the price. Maybe since they are only open for breakfasts on the weekend, they don't put much priority on it. Makes me wonder about the quality of their lunch and dinner. read more

If you want breakfast food, Mangia is great. Great eggs, pancakes, real bacon, etc. Everything else I've had there (burgers, steaks, pasta) tastes like it came from a freezer and was just heated up (and I've been here a dozen times). However, since indoor dining re-opened, I can't handle Mangia - crowded, lots of older people talking loudly, tables close together, slow, and based on the MAGA hats, probably unvaccinated. I'll open a TV dinner and get the same quality at home (but I will miss the breakfast food!) read more

Our family celebrates Thanksgiving on the weekend so we needed a place for lunch on Thanksgiving Day. To our good fortune Mangia was open. Kristina welcomed us in and showed us to our table. She served us as well. She was very pleasant & prompt. A delight to talk to. Our party of four ordered two chicken strip meals, a baked ham dinner and turkey & dressing. These were the best chicken strips we've ever had. They were large, fresh, crispy outside and juicy inside. The large ham steak was cooked wonderfully and served with a pineapple slice that was nicely carmelized. The turkey slices were served on top of the dressing along with a side of mashed potatoes all covered with turkey gravy. All of it was quite good. I'm glad were decided to eat here today! read more

We just got back home from Mangia. Let me tell you what happened tonight at the restaurant. First, we were seated at a table that was dirty. Paper bits and not wiped down well at all. The waiter(?) took our order without writing it down....and he had to come back and ask again what I wanted to drink. He brought food to the table. It was half of my wife's meal. When questioned as to where the other half was....he choked and stated that it would be out "in a while". (The other half of her dinner never materialized while we were there.....maybe he'll mail it?) People at another table were attempting to make contact with someone, anyone working there about a matter regarding some deficiencies with their meal or table or whatever but it took a half raise out of the seat and an out stretched arm to finally get some attention. It was about this time that the waiter(?) brought out my meal. It was wrong. He started to argue with me about what I wanted for dinner. He finally took back the meal. I then flagged down the owner and told him to have the meal bagged. When we left, the owner was not happy or interested in learning that we had issues with him and his restaurant. He apparently doesn't care that he has employees that can't or won't clean properly, take orders accurately or even give a damn. He kept trying to silence me while I was I informing him of what we observed. He wasn't successful at that either. Spend your money elsewhere.... read more

We were just passing through and found this place on Yelp. We were not disappointed. I had the walleye sandwich with a side salad. My husband the gyro with fries. Both were very tasty. Just passing through town after the holidays and found this jewel. We did Sunday lunch and had open faced roastbeef and grilled tenderloin meals. Portions were large and very good, and a good value for the portion size! The side cup of chili was some of the best i've had. Service was low key and efficient. We will definately plan to visit again. read more

Good food at a reasonable price with prompt seating and service. Mangia is a favorite date night destination for us. The restaurant is spacious, the atmosphere is pleasant and conducive to conversation, and the food portions are generous. Their gyro is especially good. It's my personal favorite. read more
