Honestly don't know why I haven't reviewed Co-Op Sauce yet, since I've been hoarding and loving…read moretheir sauces for 5 years now. These are the same owners of The Sauce and Bread Kitchen, but they also make their own line of sauces. If you are a hot sauce lover or really just a lover of amazing flavor you've gotta get their sauce. I usually order online from their website when I can't make it to the store. My favorites are the Poblano, Chchcherrybomb, and Smokey Mole (honorable mentions are The Barrel and Poblano Mustard). But honestly they are all great and I put them on almost everything I eat. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Mike was super duper nice, knowledgeable, clearly loves what he does - I am a home cook and obsessed with hot sauce (no joke, 1/4 of my valuable fridge real estate is dedicated to hot sauce), and half of them are co-op sauces. Spent about 50 mins sampling hot sauces and hemming and hawing about how I was going to choose a modest haul of 7 bottles. Mike was very patient and answered all of my wacky questions about ingredients and made recommendations. Settled on the Mole, Kimchi, Jack o' lantern, Batsauce, Barrel, Aji gold and Carrot habanero....I find that I reach most often for the Kimchi and Jack o'Lantern...but they are *all* killer. None of them overpower, they are about flavor, not macho BS-melt-your-tongue-off-hot. They are a wonderful range of flavors - the Batsauce is fruity and funky, the Kimchi is wonderfully tangy, rich and savory, and I love how light the Carrot is - goes with a lot, tad sweet with a kick. The Jack is simple - and doing simple well, I've found, is a true testament of craftsmanship. Rock on, co-op sauce. Can't wait to come back for lunch and buy some other fun groceries like the cured meats and condiments I scoped out.

But we were seated right away. It's on the smaller side inside but not too small for the location. My husband and I were greeted right away and hot coffee was pouring into our mugs as we asked for some. The attention to service was impeccable. I ordered the veggie quiche which came with a side salad. My hubby ordered chilaquiles which was a HEAPING pile of food. My was absolutely delicious. It tasted fresh, not greasy. Plenty of veggies and the crust was good. He loved his (I didn't try it as I don't eat pork). He annihilated his plate and left no crumb untouched. We were continually getting our coffee and waters refilled. I would definitely go back again if in the neighborhood. Side note: the array of pastries on the way in looked amazing but I didn't try any.

Pancakes were a touch dry, but still tasty. Service was the standout, though. Super welcoming, quick with coffee refills, food drop off and bussing. Pretty decent place, tables are close together, which is only something to mention in wintertime (coats, hats, scarves). Love the Andersonville neighborhood, so this is just one of the many amazing local joints.

It's super cute and cozy on the inside- there isn't much seating, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. It's neither too loud nor too quiet, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. My friend and I stopped by for restaurant week, and for 3 courses at $40 it was a great deal! For drinks, we started with the Queen Bee and Flying High. I absolutely loved the first- the ginger was super unique and very crisp. There was complimentary homemade focaccia and white bean dip to start, which was both a huge bonus and possibly the best bread I've had in a minute! The bean dip especially was so flavorful and unique. We split the carciofo (artichokes in lemon butter) and meatballs with polenta to start. The artichokes were bright and not too heavy. I think the meatballs could've had a little more flavor, but they were tender and the polenta was very smooth and creamy. For mains, we split the chicken parmigiano and rigatoni alla buttera. The chicken was ultra crispy and the marinara was exceptionally flavorful. The rigatoni was rich and meaty with very tender sausage. We really enjoyed both and had a ton of leftovers. We ended with the tiramisu, and I've never had one so light and creamy yet rich. Already looking forward to returning and can't recommend Regalia highly enough!

Regalia is a must visit restaurant whenever you're in Edgewater!…read more Regalia has managed to blend the vibe of a small neighborhood restaurant with high end cuisine. This is the perfect date night spot. I highly recommend making a reservation because Regalia is typically busy. During the warmer months they have outdoor dining so the restaurant is even busier. They typically reserve the bar area for walk-ins but it's not promised you won't have to wait to get seated. My go-to dish is the Chicken Parmigiano but I recently had the Rigatoni alla Buttera and it has become my new favorite dish. I've also been able to try the Rigatoni Ragu Alla Rustico and it's also delicious. Truly you cannot go wrong with any of the dishes. The food is priced similarly to other Italian restaurants in the area. The dishes are large so you could easily get two meals from your order. The thing I love the most about Regalia is that the food is consistently good. It's hard to find a place that invests in quality food and creating an atmosphere. The manager / owner will periodically walk around the restaurant and check-in with customers to see how everything is going. The one con is Regalia tries to optimize their space so the tables are tightly packed into the restaurant. It sometimes feels like you're dining with the table next to you because the tables are so close. If you're someone that needs to use the restaurant frequently don't sit in the inner chair because you almost have to shift your table over to get through. Overall, I love visiting Regalia!

I love this grocery store because they sell a wide variety of Asian snacks, seafood, meat, drinks and Asian sauces from countries like: Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan, Korea. I remember coming here one summer day years ago with my son; he started to feel lightheaded due to the summer's heat and the male owner told me to grab anything to drink and eat and he sat my son down on the stool and started feeding him. That memory really touched my heart and he even carried my son to the car. This place definitely holds a special place in my heart because of the owner's kindness and the fact that it's one of my mother's favorite places to shop. It's always busy especially on Sundays! I highly recommend this grocery store. They have a small parking lot next to the grocery store but it doesn't fit many vehicles. I usually just park next to the storefront if there is space available; if you live around the neighborhood you can also walk. Before there was 'Seafood City' or any other grocery store on Argyle; 'Viet Hoa' was the original store that provided all the Asian ingredients that our families used in recipes.

This store stocks many other local businesses and it's a great chance to try something new! Many vegan, ingredient conscious gifts and itsms. For those who refill, they also sell bulk soap so you can bring in your container. I've personally only purchased wax melts, and they are the best! I only wish I could buy more, but they last so long and their scent throw is great! Many candle-makers don't make melts and I was elated that they had so many in stock. The owner and her son are fantastic - always happy to help and they work very hard. The window displays change more often than Macy's, and the themes are so cute (they even had a Barbie theme over the summer)! They are always happy to give recommendations, chat, and it feels so welcoming whenever I go in - they don't make it easy to leave without half a bag of free samples. Their doggie floor manager is a plus too! He is always checking up on customers and is very sweet. All in all: this is a great place to stop in! Love Dierdre and Matthew and hope you meet them soon~
