The Sunday morning roll was great. My husband enjoyed his pad thai. Cozy atmosphere with great service and food.

Super casual and quaint place in a strip shopping plaza. I typically skip such places but I love this mom and pop Thai place. Absolutely scrumptious Thai iced tea preferred over other local places. And the crab rangoons are light and crispy (think wonton wrapper --not egg roll). I've been here before, but tried a new dish today. I got the ginger stir-fry with only onion, snow peas, and ginger in it. It's a very thin and light sauce and the chicken is tender (NOT fried or battered). The only thing I'd change next time is swapping the steamed white rice for fried. I will definitely go back for this dish! My son opted for the basil fried rice w/beef. He's braver than I, and chose 2.5 on the spicy scale (1-3 are the choices!). He loved it and the crab rangoons, and he's not usually a fan of rangoons. We decided to try here based solely off the great reviews on yelp! I am here to say all those great reviews are 100% truthful. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall, but they have done a good job with decorating the inside while still keeping it pretty simple. Our server was very nice and attentive throughout our meal. The food was all very delicious. I forgot to take a photo of our sushi roll but it was definitely the star of the show, we will be back to try some more rolls! The portions are great for the price too - plenty to share or take home for lunch the next day. read more

Been going here since they opened. They started out with excellent food. Over the years, it has deteriorated. The past three times, I had take away. The "sushi" I ordered was some of the worst imaginable. Terribly put together and just plain sloppy. Minimal fish on the Rainbow Rolls and stuffed with fake crab. Kroger's sushi is better than this garbage. The foil wrapped ginger and wasabi was so squashed, I had to peel it apart. The packet looked old and not at all appetizing. They just don't seem to care anymore. I have tried to support their business, but the junk they throw together has no place in the world of sushi. A waste of money. I suggest they close their doors. read more

Such good food and hot tea. Such a bummer that the front door is lacking a foyer or some type of wind break. Three friends went out for dinner one cold and windy night. There were only 3 open tables and we were fortunate to get the one furthest from the front door but each time the door opened we were blasted with cold. The servers were super friendly and helpful. This is a good one! We are on a bit of a quest to find Asian restaurants in the Cincinnati metro that we like, and Mango Tree makes the list. It's Thai and Sushi (I don't know why, but these two come together a lot on this side of the country). We were here for the Thai. We ordered Tom Kha (Chicken Coconut Soup) and a Tom Yum (Shrimp soup). Both were excellent! Then we shared the Crispy Pad Thai. It was so good! Great flavors all around. Server was pleasant. The restaurant was clean and comfy. There was a bustling carry-out business, based on all the to-go packages we saw going by, and the restaurant itself was full on a Thursday night. Lots of parking (it's in a strip mall). We'll be back to check out more of the menu! read more

Mango Tree was in a quaint little spot in a strip mall off Wooster Pike. I rarely frequent that area, but was coming from a car dealership on that side of town so... The Mexican restaurant next door played their music a bit too loud..but that's just me being persnickety. On to the food. Mango Tree is one of my favorite sushi spots in Greater Cincy, and we never would have discovered it if it weren't for an FC Cincinnati game. Let me explain. My fiancé and I had reservations for a different sushi restaurant in OTR ... and even though we arrived downtown ten minutes early, we could not find parking anywhere! We drove around for nearly half and hour before calling it quits ... but we were still craving sushi. So we hopped on Yelp searching for some other options ... and read through several rave reviews for this little sushi spot nestled into a strip mall outside of Mariemont. The restaurant was busy - but not totally packed for a Saturday night. We decided to sit outside on their patio ... as did a few other customers. Our waitress was incredibly friendly - recommending which Sake she thought was best. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls ... our favorite was their house special, the "Mango Tree Roll." We also couldn't resist tasting some of their Thai offerings ... the Green Curry was flavorful with a kick, but not too spicy. We left feeling glad our original dinner plans had fallen through, because then we never would have discovered this hidden gem. This is a cute little spot in a small strip mall outside of Mariemont. They have a nice patio setup outside and a few distanced tables inside. I opted for take out which seemed to be where the business was currently booming. Orders are placed by calling ahead. Payment is taken at time of pickup. The person taking my order was efficient and gave me an accurate time it would be ready. When I arrived there were several friendly staff who waited on me. Great service! I ordered the Tom Kha soup to start. It was a decent version of this. My Thai iced tea was on point and done perfectly. The Ginger Salad was full of amazingly fresh veggies and the dressing was super yummy. For sushi I only got one roll, The Mango tree roll, but it was so large, it could have been my meal. This was some of the best sushi I have had. The components were fresh and flavorful. It even held together amazingly well for all it was packed with! For the main course I had their crispy pad thai . I have had this many places over the years, but this was the best. It included chicken and shrimp. I was impressed with the array of veggies and how well the crispy held up in transit! I read all the great reviews, so got takeout there of a few of the Thai dishes (I didn't try any sushi). They were efficient, had the order ready to go (I picked it up), filled the order accurately & packed it well. The food itself was very fresh -- well-cooked vegetables, fresh flavors. And I love that they have a brown rice option. The spice was good -- I ordered a "1" and it was just hot enough for my palate. The red curry and garlic stir-fry were tasty, though the sauces could have been thicker and stronger in taste. Overall, a good place for a dependable Thai meal. read more

I came here for dinner on a Tuesday, I've seen this establishment when I would drive by here now and then so I was very curious to see if this place was good or not. The ratings seem high so we gave it a go. So I'm just going to start with the food. I ordered two sushi rolls, one mango tree roll which I'm sure is their signature hence their name. And then I ordered a pretty standard eel roll. I will say that the mango tree roll was actually really good, I really enjoyed it. No complaints on the food whatsoever. My friend also thought the food was fairly good as well. As for the service, the service could be a lot better. Although it was dinner time on a Tuesday, the restaurant was not packed. When I walked in there were two employees kind of just staring at me, not seating me. One was on the phone taking phone orders which is cool. The other one kind of just stood there, I didn't see him take orders, putting takeout,... I really didn't seem to do anything. So after a couple of awkward minutes, they finally said I could sit down anywhere I'd like. It looks like there was only one person taking orders? It looks like it was the general manager or even possibly the owner. But he also had two other folks working and they weren't taking orders... So my friend and I waited for about 15-ish minutes to take our order and then later on it took a while for them to give us the check, even though we were trying to track them down. Mind you, it wasn't that busy so I think they could probably do better efficiently. Overall, the food is good, the service is below par unfortunately. Maybe it was an off day? I don't know. But the service was kind of unfortunate and I don't know if I'd want to drive 25 minutes to eat here. Maybe if I'm in the area and I'll just get take out or something. read more

Delicious! Wednesday evening, called for carry out, Thai Wings (well done), Mango Tree Roll, Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll. He said 30-35 minutes. I arrived at 20 and everything was ready. Even after the 20 min drive home, wings were still crispy, though the "crunch roll" lost a bit of it's crunch. Dissapointed! Change in quality. I have ordered mango tree many many times. I almost always get the same rolls and usually they are fresh and delicious. Tonight there was a noticeable difference in quality. The rice and tempura shrimp in my sushi roll were stale, dry, and hard. The mango was hard as a rock. Mango Tree has a great lunch special that we were able to enjoy. The price and portion were perfect for a quick afternoon bite. Be careful- our appetizer, crab rangoon, was very runny and could have made a mess if we weren't careful. If you are going back to work, it could be a disaster if you aren't paying close attention. The Drunken Noodle were excellent - there may have been a little too many veggies compared to the noodles, but the veggies were perfectly cooked. I had lunch here last Friday afternoon- chicken drunken noodles and Thai Iced Tea. Both were excellent. Emily was our server and she was great. Very attentive and answered questions about the menu. There are a few tables outside. The place is small, but they have about 10 tables inside. They have an open kitchen so you can hear and see them preparing the food.
