Haven't been in awhile but Mangos was my safe haven after lockdown and the spot to go to for fun nights, sad nights, and random nights. The bar tenders are lively and fun to be around and having access to play whatever songs you want is a bonus. It's connected to a Mexican food shop so be prepared to get stuck here for HOURS on accident having a good time playing pool and chatting

If you're just looking for somewhere to grab a drink and slap a twenty in the poker machine, then by all means come here. There are Two food menus at Mangos. One menu consists of wings, fingers, phillys, and breakfast that they will order for you from the Stop N' Shop next door...or...lol...there's the Roberto's menu! Mangos has really put me in a conundrum! Am I reviewing them, Stop N 'Shop, or Roberto's!?!? As a yelper, I feel like I've officially gone down the dark path of reviewing places I don't want people actually realizing that I patronize. But let's be honest, we all do it, the guilty pleasures of 1am carne asada french fries from Roberto's...

No food. Great bartenders. Paying machines. Pool tables. Dart board. Roberto's is attached or can order food in.

Service was good, drink prices are way too high for a local bar. They probably just want slot players there.

Walking in the vibes are it, very beach forward themed smaller restaurant area and decency size bar with keno machines. The bartender is friendly and super welcoming. Everything is decorated so cute as well. We sat at 2 machines, got cards, and your first 20 points you get $20 freeplay so that's a bonus. The machines we are on are keeping us on our toes. The menu is a decent size we ordered the pulled pork sandwich & the French Toast & both were BOMB. The flavor on the pork was amazing and the sweet roll French toast was just sweet enough. Would highly recommend and we will be returning. 06/03 10:00 PM

I've been coming here for a while now and overall it's been a good experience but recently I've had…read moresome issues with how the bar comps drinks and food. I am an active player sometimes I win, break even or lose however as of recently I've had issues getting my food and drink comped I almost always order from the player menu and many times I have to remind the bartender to take the discount off the bill. Today was the worst example of this I had 3 drinks within the space of 40 minutes or so with active play I just so happened to break even in this time and I had a meal from the players menu. The bartender Juan while friendly and attentive gave me a bill with no drinks comped and full price on the players menu when I asked him about this and tried to get the drinks taken off he told me it worked like every other bar that I had to play $1 or more a hand and lose $20 per drink but I broke even so they aren't comped. Well that's not how any other bar works in all my time playing at various bars including this one my drinks have been comped whether I win or lose and I've always played 1.25 a hand or more so this was perplexing that not a single drink I ordered was covered after almost an hour of continuous play. I eventually got him to at least give me the players discount but still paid for every single drink. Perhaps I had too many drinks within the time frame but I should have at least had one of them comped I've never run into a bar that doesn't comp drinks for play it's just so standard but if this is the new policy of the Tavern I will find someplace else to gamble. Getting drinks comped is the bare minimum of a gaming bar if their policy has changed it is no longer worth it to visit and I would recommend any of the many competitors to this bar just for this factor alone. I'm assuming it is the bartenders discretion in which case I've never had an issue with Ted this is my first time seeing the other bartender Juan I will not be returning when he is there.

The weather was perfect, making it an ideal setting to celebrate two cherished occasions (Mom's heavenly birthday and our parents' anniversary). John enjoyed the Prime Rib French Dip (slow-roasted prime ribeye, caramelized onions on toasted bun), while I had an amazing Ahi Tuna Wrap (ahi tuna, Asian slaw, wasabi aioli & spring mix served on a flour tortilla) with sweet potatoes fries. Brando was in his element, soaking up the fresh air and making a new friend, Kage the Doberman. Tails wagged, barks were shared, and memories and gratitude filled the table. It was a night of good food, good company, and loving remembrance...a fitting tribute to Mom and Dad in our hearts forever. Great service by Alix who kept Brando's waterbowl filled and an endless supply of ice cookies.

Hence, the entire draft selection at all of their locations consists of craft beers made by independent breweries. The centerpiece of this location at Tenaya is the impressive selection of 50 rotating craft beers on tap. This includes plenty of strong beers for hardcore craft beer enthusiasts like myself. Now, it also includes beers made by the newest location in their family, Evolve Brewing. The size of the location is also impressive. It is divided into a gaming tavern (with ashtrays and video poker machines on the bar), beerhall sports bar, outdoor patio, and private event space. To me, the most unique item on their food menu--and its claim to fame--is the Eddie Spaghetti pizza. As Aces & Ales has evolved--no pun intended--the business has placed more emphasis on its food menu. Historically, their kitchen was secondary to their draft selection. Now, the business wants to be a restaurant first, and taproom second. Upon being seated, you are handed oversize food menus with heavy lamination (as done at their Evolve Brewing location at The Bend). These overshadow the single beer menu provided separately on a smaller sheet of paper. The server is trained to use scripted language to further induce you to order food. In other words, it's not the kind of place you can come for a beer without being expected to order food. Though, that is what the name of the business implies. I'm okay with the concept of the restaurant being primary, and the craft beers secondary. As long as this is reflected in the business name. For example, why not call it, "Aces & Ales Tavern, Restaurant & Taproom"? Similarly, "Evolve Restaurant & Brewery"? Another surprise during my most recent visit came after paying my bill by credit card. The server returned with a receipt that included a 2.99% "credit card surcharge." First of all, why is it not rounded to the 3% that it really is? Secondly, this is not a typical fee charged by restaurants. Therefore, shouldn't it be disclosed to customers before accepting their credit card? Furthermore, does this lack of transparency have the potential to discourage repeat business? Or, more frequent business from regular customers?
