Obviously Puscifer the Store is a bit of a Mecca for fans of a certain musician/vocalist/winemaker/man of many hats however there's a hidden gem in this place that isn't as widely known. I've been to Jerome and to this very store several times in the past couple of years but finally the stars aligned just right and I schedule a haircut by the in-house barber (and gentleman) Frankie. Some might call it a weird bucket list item to get a haircut in a record store located in a former mining town on the side of a mountain, but for whatever reason I had been eager to see what an experience it would be. I had made casual talk with Frankie several times in passing before during previous drop-ins, but never had the privilege of getting the 'do done until yesterday. Let me profess, I'm usually the Great Clips sort of guy because honestly I have little need to impress anyone as a WFH employee with a quiet home and family life, but on this occasion I wanted to look good and feel good. Did I ever come to the right place! Frankie spent a great deal of time making sure I had a perfect cut and style for my noggin' and we had a great conversation, getting to know one another. He pored over every detail and delivered the absolute best hair cut I've ever had. Frankie spent time showing me how to style my freshly-shorn pate with a little product and a simple twirl of a brush. I walked out feeling like a sir! I can't explain how much better I felt after this simple and seemingly mundane service, but it's absolutely true a good cut will make you feel tenfold better when it's done properly. Fan-tastic here. If you love music and the weird, this is the spot. If you love MJK, well then this is definitely the SPOT. Walked around in here and discovered so many little and big quirky items. Be sure to visit the Puscifer shrine up front and leave your offering. Upstairs features lots of merch, as well as a huge selection of all music genres in vinyl. There is a cool sitting area by the windows. Downstairs is where the really cool stuff is stashed. First up, the Barbifer. They were in on Saturday when we visited, and the wall above the chair features some notable cuts and photos. Back farther you will find an amazing collection of touring posters from Puscifers time out and about. Not for the faint of wallet, but if you are a fan...definitely check these out, especially if you missed grabbing one a lie show you attended. The selection was vast, and the art was very...Maynard. Definitely worth a walk through even if you aren't a fan of their music. We bought a bunch of merch, and stickers. Explicit and fun, just like Maynard. read more

Also super crazy thing Maynard's lovely wife Jen is just serving up gelato and helping out we had a nice conversation . It make me happy to see them provide acts of service it makes the whole experience that much more meaningful. While camping near Sedona we decided to drive up and check out Jerome. It's a very funky, chill old mining town with the ubiquitous retail shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms. We enjoyed an amazing tasting next door at Caduceus and being fans of MJK, we decided to check this place out before we left Jerome. It's a very eclectic shop with merch, records, etc. There's even a barber if you need a quick cut and a shave. Service was friendly. We left without purchasing anything, but prices seemed reasonable. I used to be a big fan of Tool and APC. Well, still a fan, just don't listen as often. Either way, MJK is an awesome musician, in my opinion. Naturally, I had to stop by his store while visiting Jerome. I'll be honest about my impression, not to be critical or mean, but to hopefully offer some constructive feedback (if anyone cares). The store felt like it was lacking personality, identity, and charm. It's big and felt somewhat disjointed and confusing. It sort of felt like a department store. Downstairs, there was a somewhat messy area with cardboard boxes and sale merchandise (silly T-shirts and socks and such) right next to a barber shop with a hipster feel? Bizarre. It just seemed like it lacked cohesion, and as a result, charm. I didn't find anything I wanted to buy, aside from the coffee, which was priced at $20 per bag. I skipped it. The selection could have definitely been more interesting and priced in a more affordable way. Finally, some of the employees seemed standoffish and unfriendly. Obviously, if you're a fan of MJK, this is a must. Draw your own conclusions. Either way, I highly recommend checking out his winery next door (Caduceus Cellars). I felt like they nailed it in terms of atmosphere, branding, and curation. They also offer wine at different price points which is nice. read more

We had a blast cruising through the city of Jerome, such a unique experience at a comfortable distance from either Prescott or Sedona. Wine tasting here at Puscifer was a refreshing way to kill an hour surrounded by a wealth of Tool memorabilia and random eye candy. The view out toward the painted mountains of Sedona alone makes a visit worth it. Can't say the service was exceptional other than the bar tender (punk rock Gal) who was pretty nice. Can't say the wines blew us away but would still list this spot as a worthy spot if you're in town. read more

Staff couldn't be bothered...to smile back, respond to a greeting, nor even pretend to be pleasant. What a disappointment. I was all giddy walking in, but that quickly changed. My husband and I were poking around Main St in Jerome and came across Puscifer the Store. I never heard of the band and thought that the store has a very different vibe from the other stores in the immediate area. I immediately liked their motto...Life is too short Not to create with every breathe we draw. Lots of their merchandise seemed to be geared towards having a sense of humor along with a willingness to show it off. The store also sells new and gently used records, items for kids, apparel, jewelry and more. The guy working upstairs tried hard to be disconnected to the customers while I was shopping. He sat and read and would not lift his head when asked a question. This employee was very successful at preventing a sale. The ladies downstairs were the complete opposite. They greeted every customer while I was there in a friendly and welcoming way. There was a willingness to connect with the customers and create a fun shopping experience. A cool and old fashioned looking barbershop is located downtowns along with custom t-shirt printing. read more

Staff is AWFUL. I've been twice so far and both times the women working there have off the WORST vibes. Felt like they don't want you in there, like you're a nuisance to their day. Bad bad bad vibes man. I love Jerome and tell people to go all the time and I also tell them NOT to go Into the bad vibe puscifer store. It's very disjointed. Big and feels empty-not a lot of merch to choose from in such a huge space. Everything is way overpriced as well. I love Maynard but he needs to vet his staff. It gives the whole body mod alt community a bad name when you have these people representing the freaks of Jerome. Which would be a good thing had they had any manners at all. In addition to band merchandise clothing, there's also toys (For both kids and pets), stickers, jewelry, and figurines. One of my favorite items was a cool and funny rock band activity book. We perused our way around the store happily looking/shopping for souvenirs and gifts. We spent too much and left regretting not buying more! The store itself is pretty cool. Heather is awesome and would be the first reason to return to the store. She is very knowledgeable about the wine, art, and gave us a the backstory of the photos on the walls which I had been eye balling. She definitely made the experience. The wine is good. Legion would be the second reason I would return to the store. It's a very interesting red that offers a rollercoaster of taste for the tongue. The more you sip the more you discover. Sad to write this. But this is for the service. The girl behind the front register upon entering is super condescending towards older people. Yes I understand right by the front door there is hand sanitizer and you want everyone to use it before entering in the store which I am totally cool with however, she seem to be rather annoyed and talk down to people who would walk by the hand sanitizer station. Making smart ass remarks and raising your voice like they are deaf towards people isn't a way to gain business. read more

Finally MJK has revealed what he has been up to in his time between Puscifer remixes and wine making at Merkin/Caduceus. A visit to this fine artful store on the main touristy street of idyllic Jerome tells us that the wait for the next Tool album will be longer than we all think. The store has sells mainly clothing merchandise on the main level. There are CDS, posters and lot of funny ATF/Bikini bandit merchandise and accessories. This is also the place to buy expensive but personally signed memorabilia. The quotes are very well put in the well designed merchandise just as the songs. In the basement you can have custom printed clothing, selected classic vinyl and even a hair cut on appointment. Maynard might not have the same old direct and aggressive vent in his music and Caduceus cellar and Puscifer store are further proof. He has aged well, the wine is smooth and prize winning. The store is a great stop to pour down some $$$ as an ode to - choose between progressive rock and modern electronic remixes. Filled my travel bag with a lot of amazing junk that I don't need .And so long... I wish you well !!! read more

Came here because my spouse has been an MJK fan pretty much as long as I've known her. I like much of the music, but not like her. We live in Phx, sometimes against our will. Surprisingly, between hanging around the Puscifer store buying mystery vinyls and fan stuff, buying bottles nextdoor at Caduceus, and having experiences at Merkin Vineyards and Osteria in Cottowood, I've become quite the fan of MJK and company - not because of music, but because I am impressed with the development, promotion, and nurturing of the local region. Geezuz - I had no idea that my own state had so much to offer in terms of community, art, wine, and food. Additionally, the entirety of the experience shifted my perception on many levels. This is probably the most bad-a** store I've ever been in, and I don't even know why. We go often and I can't wait to go back again! That barbershop below makes me wish I wasn't bald! I didn't hate this place but it was just okay. The chapsticks were overpriced at $7 a pop and had no flavor or scent of any kind. I'm thinking for $7 for chapstick it's going to leave my lips silky smooth or smell like heaven or possibly even give off a taste that will blow my mind. But nope, nothing. There were clothes there also, not a lot to choose from, the store looked kind of empty but it could have been the large open window with a gorgeous view that made the place look so empty. The sales clerk was very nice and friendly, very helpful with any questions you had and full of knowledge. And the store downstairs, I don't know if they were one in the same or two different companies. But if they were the same company then I'll bump my review up 1 star. In phoenix there isn't exactly a ton of good ol' fashion record stores around the place. And the records I do find are usually pre-owned. But their collection was full of bands that I actually love and listen to including new artist. Made me want to run out and grab a record player. Loved it down there. read more

Everyone who works here is very nice. On the first floor is a lot of general merchandise like t-shirts/hoodies/prints/stickers but there are also some cool knick knacks and accessories like bags, socks, underwear and stuff by other brands as well. On the bottom floor they have a barber shop with some skin/hair care products they make themselves as well as a record shop with a decent selection. My favorite part of the store is on the bottom floor. There's a little section off to the side with one of a kind merchandise. They screen print in house so the artists who work down there have the time/space/freedom to create some cool shit for fun. I bought a tank top/hoodie thing with the Puschiva logo on the back. They also had some cool bags and hats in addition to shirts and hoodies with unique designs. read more

I've visited the store and wine tasting room twice now while in town on travels. Cool experience, but it could be so much better with nicer, less pretentious staff. I'm amazed at how the staff, both times, were able to make me feel like I'm annoying just by being there. For a unique experience, I wanted to get my son a haircut and inquired at the front of the store and the woman at the register practically laughed and said "I don't think he would even do a kid's haircut, I COULD ask if you want." So I passed on that offer, please god no, I would never make you walk down those steps to ask such a question. I actually felt embarrassed that I even asked, like I should have known that to work on a child would be an offensive proposition! Later I checked the scheduling website and it said kid's haircuts right on there. Hilarious. Yes, I still spent more than $500 on Maynard's brands, restaurants and wines while here, but it coulda been more, Maynard, it coulda been more. read more

I love this store! The staff is awesome, and very friendly. Lots of things to see! Their barbifer down stairs is super cool! Their price for a hair cut is very reasonable considering I'm used to paying $80 for a decent hair cut. I had my hair cut twice there already. I had my first hair cut with Laurie(I think) then second hair cut with Noelle. Both are very experienced barbers. When I went to see Noelle I had a picture of the hair style I wanted, and she used her magic hands and made it look even more awesome! Mind you, I have A lot of hair! And it's super wavy, I was worried the style I wanted wouldn't come out properly or nice but seriously, she made it happen. Now I can't wait to color my super cool hair!!!
