The Bacon, Egg and Cheese on a Cinnamon Rasin Bagel was deliciou! The service was really kind and friendly and the environment is calm.

I came here for a TooGoodToGo and another TooGoodToGo customer came right before me. What you get is totally random and I was guessing leftover bagels since it is easy for a place like this to have too many leftover bagels. Plus I have some chicken salad from BJs to go well with it all. Staff was friendly and quick and they wanted to make sure that I used the TooGoodToGo app properly. The cafe isn't anything special but it is very functional. I probably wouldn't sit down here to eat unless I was on the go but needed a quick break. I imagine the TooGoodToGo items are almost always all bagels only. If you need a number of tasty bagels for a reasonable price last minute , about 7 of them, I would get something here. I don't expect they would vary their options too much from this unfortunately. read more

Not sure why but the coffee was very weak, the bagel was stale, and the cleanup was already in full swing at 2pm.(That mop smell). I know I sound like a Karen... sorry. But they are probably very good in the morning as the bagels were very thinned out. I think it is a very hard working staff. And they are cheaper than Starbucks. I think they have a loyal local clientel, which says a lot! read more

It can be very hit or miss. I've experienced that the staff only starts to be nice to you once they realize you will be coming in at least semi regularly. My order has been made differently every time depending on who is working and thats a little frustrating. However, I will say the bagels themselves have never lacked in freshness. read more

I had to supply breakfast for a group and didn't want to get the usual donuts and coffee, so I gave Manhattan Bagel a try. I decided on the Broadway Breakfast Box which includes bagels, muffins, and other pastries. They gave me a decent variety of bagels and included two different types of cream cheese and butter. The bagels were also pre sliced making it easier to serve. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast and there were very little leftovers. Service was efficient. It only took about 10 minutes to prepare everything despite helping other customers as well. I look forward to returning to sample more of their menu. read more

I generally don't have an issue with this place. It isn't fine dining, but it's not terrible either. They're usually quick and their breakfast sandwiches are good. The two start review is because of something I witnessed today. The woman in front of me told the employee ringing her up that the cold case was reading 65 degrees and that all of the food in it was warm. The employee looked at her like she was crazy and said "that's because it's hot in here." Now, I don't care that the refrigeration broke. That happens. I care that it could have been broken for a week and no one would have done anything about it except continue to sell 65 degree cream cheese and salmon to their customers. Sometimes warm vibes and other times indifference to me as a customer. For COVID protection, you call the number on the door to place a sandwich order to avoid waiting around inside. The store is open until sometime in the late afternoon, but have arrived after 10:00 am on many occasions and they are already sold out of Salt Bagels, Pumpernickel Bagels, and maybe one to two other. Thanks for putting me into a horrible situation Manhattan Bagel! I owed my co-worker breakfast and he wanted a sandwich from here. I went over and the cashier was also making the meal. She was completely awesome and had a great personality... Then I slowly watched her completely get destroyed... There was another employee there, I'm assuming an owner/manager, but he was not willing to step in and offer any help. The phone rang and then the cashier starts screaming, eventually leading to tears falling down her face. I didn't pay yet, but she was making my food next. People would come in and then walk out as the line to be helped lengthened. It was very uncomfortable, everything was taking an extremely long time, and if I left, I think I would have broken her even more if it was possible. With tears in her eye, she brought over the food, rung me up and slowly walked back to the grill... I vowed never to return. What kind of manager/owner would put that on one person? I finished work and made my way over to Manoa Shopping area for some items at the Super fresh. I figured why not, I'm here and they are there lets grab a bakers dozen with some spreads to surprise the family. Yes I saw the reviews, saw the ratings , but in the past (6 yrs ago past ) they have always done right by me. I came in Sunday morning a little after 8 ish for a bakers dozen of what I thought was going to be fresh bagels. There was maybe 2 other couples in there with a unsatisfied look on their face , again I wasn't going to be phased by this because of past experiences. I walked up to the displays , but noticed it was almost bare, to the point where it looked like they got wiped out by a hungry mob. The counter was filthy , a few bagels , no specialty bagels were ready, the spreads looked were down to regular cream cheese, along with a strawberry spread. The coffee wasn't replenished , it was luke warm with no taste to it no matter how many sugars I added. The crew looked like they just went through a drinking binge last night. Death on feet it looked like, non compliant, no answers to when more bagels, fresh bagels would be ready. How is it early in the morning your displays are almost bare, and this was a little after 8 am. I should have just listened to the reviewers on this , along with the expressions of the others in here. I should have gone to Delancy Street Bagels in Wynnewood and stand in line. There I know they are always baking with more selections of spreads, hummus ,lox plus a better selection of freshest brewed coffee to go with. read more

I've tried going to the Manhatten for the past 10nyeara since moving to Havertown. While the food is great, the service is abhorrent. Literally the worst service I've ever had. So bad in fact that I started trying GrubHub to avoid going in to the chaos of the store ...and somehow it's worse. Delivery times are typically delayed 30 to 60 minutes PAST the estimated arrival time. I'm waiting right now on an order I made over 90 minutes ago. This is the absolute last time I'm ordering from them. I will find another place to order breakfast from now on. Supremely disappointed. Done with them. read more

This place has the worst customer service I've ever had seen in my life. We ordered from door dash and that gave the employees of this establishment written instructions as to what we wanted. I got there and the man behind the counter didn't acknowledge me and instead started counting all the ones from his tip jar for about two minutes, while I stood directly in front of him. Once he looked at me, he didn't have my order ready because they didn't see it. They also didn't have one item and asked if I wanted to sub anything. I said no, just refund me for that item. After waiting ten minutes for two toasted bagels with cream cheese, I didn't even get an apology or a thank you. The woman there said she'd refund me later when she wasn't as busy. She never did. I had to go through the app for the refund. I would never, ever go there again, ever. Unless you want a similar experience, I'd recommend going anywhere else but here. read more

I enjoy there breakfast sandwiches and I've never had any problem with their customer service, however, yesterday I decided to partake in one of the Strawberry Lemonades on display....bad move....got home and it literally had mold floating on top....dumped it out. I went in today and asked the cashier how often they make the lemonades or rotate them out and then proceeded to tell me cashier about my experience from yesterday. I used to be a daily here before the quarantine, but today I went since it has been a while. I'm rating two stars out of five, because the new staffs that work there are not the same. They were rushing me rather than letting me pick. One lady gave me a face like I said something wrong even though all I asked if they had bread.It's not the same anymore. There aren't too many bagel stores in the Upper Darby area any more since Bruegger's in Havertown closed and on Saturdays when New York bagel on City Line is closed. So, today's bagel crave ended up at Manhattan Bagel (for the record, before we left, I said "the bagels at Giant might be better"). We had a bagel at Manhattan Bagel five years ago when we first moved here. After today's bagel, five years wasn't long enough. These bagels are doughy, heavy, and just tasteless. Super friendly staff! We got to the place 30 minutes before close, so the grill was off, but we got turkey sandwiches and they let us change the toppings and cheese with no problem. Visited: Tuesday - September 24, 2013 - 9:30 AM I've visited this location several times. I never visit before 9 am during a work week or after Sunday church services. There was no line and an employee that accepted my order cheerily. I ordered the classic egg white omelet sandwich on a thin bagel. He offered choices of bread and meat and waited patiently for my response. The sandwich was hot and perfectly cooked. The coffee was hot and very good.....I drink it black!!!!! As I was leaving, two post 70 year old women were struggling to draw coffee from the pump-action container. An employee other then the one that prepared my breakfast sandwich, promptly assisted. I've given this place chance after chance to get it right and they have yet to do so. Their service is incredibly slow. They get the order wrong as much as they get it right. They ask for you to call ahead of time but often don't pick up the phone. When you do successfully call ahead you still have to wait in their long lines and put up with their slow service. Incredibly annoying. AND their staff is usually disgruntled. It's a shame because the food, when the order is right, is pretty good. read more

It's before 3 and the store is closed and not a person in sight. If you don't feel like working until the said time that you're supposed to be there . Don't work. It's ridiculous that you make it to the store before they close and not a single person in sight . Leaves a question if they fully clean everything and preserve the food correctly. I have been going to this store for my breakfast for about 2 years now, this is a weekly visit. The saddest part of this fact is that I persistently kept going even though the service is awful, they give you a stare of go away I don't like you, and after your done ordering in a line that is unorthodox and you should know it or they will get mad, they take ur order and just walk away, every time, no be right out! Okay! Or even a smile, instead you get a stare back, and a severely sassy turn away. The only good thing and reason I am giving 2 stars is because of how delicious the bagel sandwiches actually are and the very tall fellow who is there everyday and you can tell isn't being polite but is trying his best. read more
