I was so happy with my menu selections. I tried their Honey Butter pancake. One pancake is enough for three breakfasts!! this was just an incredible dish. One I've never tried before, one I've never seen before, but one I am sure to order again. The burgers are the best ever and the breading was incredible. I ate outside at Tank and Libby's and loved the nice outdoor seating they had. Our waitress was so kind and helpful we were the only people eating outside and she still checked on us regularly. Huge pancakes that actually tastes great, not just some gimmicky menu item. I barely got through 1 of 2 cakes, have since reheated and ate it. Still good. French toast also delicious. Really enjoyed the potato hash, would've loved if they were crispy but the flavor makes up for it. Would definitely return to try the savory options. I'm almost never a five star guy but for what this place is. The food I'd absolutely delicious with all the breakfast and lunch classics as well as a few creative takes. The portions are huge. I had the hangover omelette (everything you could think of) and my wife the old bay (their take on eggs Benedict). Wow! I have been here several times when I was living in the neighborhood, and the most recent trip back to PA after a move was such a good idea because the breakfast I had with my son was a highlight of our time together. Major kudos to the atmosphere and the deliciousness of the food. I had an iced tiramisu latte and it not only tasted of tiramisu, it was cold and refreshing. I went for the quiche Lorraine, which was delicate and savory. Definitely hit the spot and the crust was top notch, not too heavy. I had home fries for me side that were so flavorful I can safely say I've never had potatoes for breakfast that were so well prepared that they could have been a main dish! My son had the philly cheesesteak egg sandwich on a long roll special and it was so good, I would even order it over local Philly staple cheesesteaks if I could. So my husband and I decided to check out Tank and LIbby's on the recommendation of our neighbors. It is a quaint and welcoming brunch spot located in the Pilgrim Garden Shopping Center. The restaurant is open and airy with plenty of natural lighting and a soft color scheme for the wall paint. We were welcomed by a lovely hostess who seated us at a four person table with a bench seat along the back wall. From our seats, we could glance in the kitchen which appeared to be very well organized and operating seamlessly. After taking our time with the menu, I decided to try The Roaster, a herb-seasoned, oven roasted turkey sandwich, topped with lettuce, tomato, Gruyere cheese and apple butter on sourdough toast. My husband settled on the Brunch Burger, a 8 oz Angus Beef burger topped with a hash brown, slice of pork roll, a sunnyside egg, american cheese, lettuce and tomato on a toasted brioche bun. We also shared the Creme Brulee Challah French Toast, which was stuffed with vanilla custard, macerated raspberry and whipped cream. Let's begin this part of the review by declaring...YUM! I absolutely loved the freshness of the seasoned turkey sandwich with the typical acutramone of lettuce and tomato. But when I tell you that the sweet/nuttiness of the Gruyere and the sweetness of the apple butter elevated the sandwich to amazing. My husband raved about the favor of the medium cooked Angus and the saltiness from the pork roll being anchored by the hash brown, but also elevated by the richness of the egg yolk and prevented the need for a condiment. We chose french fries with each sandwich which were a but overcooked but salted well. The Creme Brulee was super-sweet and tasty. Some of the best French toast either of us has had. We were provided with maple syrup, but it was not needed due to the raspberry compote, whipped cream and vanilla custard. We agreed that we would reorder all three again, though the menu is quite diverse and we look forward to trying other things. I'm sad to learn that Tank and Libbys is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but look forward to patronizing on one of the days they are open when possible. read more

After seeing 10 different IG reels about the honey butter pancakes, I knew I had to get here and try them this morning. Did not disappoint! I was dining alone and was seated immediately. This was around 11 am on a Monday and the restaurant was pretty full. I ordered the honey butter pancakes, the carrot juice and scrambled eggs. Order to table was probably abot 10-15 minutes. Obviously, the pancakes brought me in and they are DELICIOUS. The portion is huge and very intense, as it is doused and swimming in honey butter and has the sweet compote on top. Its amazing, but definitely a lot. Brought home more than half and it will take me a couple of days to get through it. If you do not have an extreme sweet tooth (I do), these aren't for you. The juice was great-very fresh tasting and not overly sweet. Scrambled eggs are a simple dish, but these were the standout for me because I asked for them scrambled soft and they actually were! Never happens anywhere. Props to the cook! Plus, the eggs weren't seasoned. Just eggs and cheese which I love. I like my eggs to taste like eggs. I will 100% return. Can't wait to try other menu items. I deducted one star due to overall cleanliness. There was some food on my chair and a lot on the floor around my feet. Well I finally got to see what the fuss was about. We both got eggs and split a French toast. Eggs were scrambled with plenty of melted American cheese in them. Artisan toast was a nice touch. Wife enjoyed hers over easy. Neither of us was a fan of the home fries. Not a deal breaker for either of us. The brioche French toast was excellent. I have both ordered takeout and sat down at tank and Libby's for breakfast several times and I have no complaints. A great spot for a great breakfast, brunch or lunch. Good for kids with the fish tank and free coloring paper. I personally love the French toast (any style) and omelets especially The Hangover. The service is fast and has always been friendly. It's clean and comfortable. But, be warned it gets very busy on the weekend and even Friday mornings it can be almost a full house. read more

We tried this place twice but both times we didn't like what we got maybe we were ordering the wrong things. The second time I ordered the soufflé pancakes and it was basically a cake. Way too sweet and was overpriced I was upset I didn't even order anything else. They could barely bring it to the table it was drowning in this honey butter. Best breakfast place around, IMO. I generally avoid going out for breakfast/brunch. I love to cook and make a mean breakfast, if I do say so myself. So, it is usually not worth it. My wife and I stopped in on a whim a few weeks back and it was excellent. My first reaction when looking through the menu was "typical... everything is overpriced". Then I saw a few items come out and thought "OK at least they're big portions". Then we got our food and inhaled every bit of it. We had a baby last week and were gifted a DoorDash gift card and decided to order breakfast this morning. I got "The Jersey" and it was easily the best breakfast sandwich I've had in this area since moving down here from North Jersey (except for Middle Child in Philly.... Just a ridiculous breakfast sandwich). My wife had pancakes both times and said they're the best she's ever had. Breakfast is the easiest meal period to execute and serve, but for some reason most places screw it up, one way or another. Not Tank & Libby's. 5 stars all around - HIGHLY recommend. It was a 30-40 minute wait for Sunday brunch for our group of 5. I had a Boardwalk Bennie which had pork roll and caramelized onions. I was happy with the flavors but the English muffin was really tough to cut. I opted for fruit instead of potatoes which ended up being bananas, blueberries and grapes. Not sure the fruit sub should be $2 extra but this isn't uncommon. The rest of the group had chicken and waffles, apple bacon pancakes, and different egg options w/sides of meat. Definitely have seen larger waffles at other brunch places. Not enough syrup so it was kind of dry. Chicken was a little dry as well. The 6 Hour Hash had adequate amounts of meat (pulled corned beef) at least. One of the poached eggs tasted super dry. Toast was well buttered and sizeable at least. I really loved T&L at first but they have gotten comfortable and take their customers for granted. There is always a 45 minute wait on weekends. They say 15 minutes but that's not true. They keep an empty table in the back for their friends and try to pretend they don't. The food has gotten expensive and not so great anymore. The viral honey butter pancakes and my Belgian waffle came out overcooked with a crumbly texture. The compote for the honey butter pancakes is everything. The potato hash is ok. Tank's shines with its fresh pressed juices and wonderful service. I did notice that when tables were turned over, only the tables and seating were cleaned. I had chicken and waffles, the bacon waffle was flavorful and full of good quality smoked bacon although I hesitate to call it a true Belgium waffle. (Btw my experience is that most restaurants no longer sell Belgian waffles but just like to advertise as such.) The chicken breast was flavorful but I could smell that the grease was too hot (ok pet peeve of mine). This is by far the worst shrimp and grits I ever had. The sausage and shrimp are so tough. There is no way they were cooked today. I live 5 min away and the grits are hard. No seasoning on them.
