This little hidden gem I've been missing out on all this time, well not anymore! Cute breakfast/lunch place in Ardmore on Cricket. I parked in the parking garage right near the cafe, parking was cheap only $2.00 for 3 hours. The place is cutely decorated and kinda of busy. They have a bar you sit at, don't think they have alcoholic drinks but in case you just want to grab a bite and be to yourself. Looks like there's some fancy coffee/espresso they make there too. I ordered the fresh fruitFrench toast (the short stack) and chicken sausage. Everything came out fast and hot. Fresh berries too. It was just enough! My server was great and on point. He didn't tell me his name but he did a good job! I'll definitely be back..

holy hell. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. I customized it to be egg over medium, american cheese, kaiser roll. knocked it out of the park. so good, lots of cheese, egg was great! I wish I ordered two. I haven't been in store but the service for delivery was speedy. definitely recommend. it looks messy but the best sandwiches always are!

Located smack dab in Ardmore downtown. This place offers brunch at a reasonable price. There was a 30 minute wait but that is anticipated when going anywhere for brunch on a weekend. The place doesn't accept reservations so first come first serve! I got a parfait and oatmeal. Both were brought out quickly and tasted pretty good. The pancakes at the place looks pretty amazing.

Yum! A quiet Monday in Ardmore. We were seating immediately. The server was prompt and courteous. The coffee was hot and fresh. Crab and tomato omelette was very flavorful and fresh. The crabmeat was plentiful. My partner had the cheesecake French toast and it too was flavorful. Additionally I had one pumpkin pancake, it was huge with morsels of pumpkin, it was delicious but overpriced at $5.59. Overall it was a great experience.

I am writing this review with an onion ring in my mouth. My cheesesteak came out fast, and boy, it was cheesy! The ambiance was very diner-like, and the service was fast.

Ate here again tonight for the second time. As much as we loved the first meal, this meal was…read moresomehow...better. Service: each person with whom we interacted (hosts, manager, food runners and especially our server...she was fantastic). Food: For the table, we got Calamari: very light and crispy, but the meat was nice and tender Pepperoni and soppressata pizza: excellent, with an amazing sauce, sausage and crispy outside tender inside crust. Dinner: The kids both got the Rigatoni Vodka. This is what I had the first time we visited. It was just as delicious. Packed with flavor and the sausage was perfect. Tender, and just a touch of heat. My wife got the Gemelli. A pistachio pesto - this was probably the best pesto I've ever tasted. Creamy, fill of flavor and a touch of acid that brightened it up nicely. Incredible. I got the Bucatini Amatriciana. Pomodoro sauce with guanciale. Blew me away. The pomodoro was unbelievably well balanced. Exact amount of sweetness, slightly acidic and the guanciale brought the salty note, in the form of crispy crunchy bacon flavor, but surprisingly tender. Blown away. We had to try dessert. Tiramisu: it was as good as expected. Very well made Vanilla Panna Cotta: this was exceptional (like pretty much the rest of the meal) delicate and creamy, and a huckleberry compote (?) that was insanely good. A touch of salt was in there to make it positively sing. I could not more highly recommend giving this place a try. Absolutely the whole package. Loved it and will be back!

For my main course, I had a crispy fried chicken cutlet topped with a perfectly dressed Caesar salad (not on the menu but absolutely worth asking for). I believe it was around $31 and worth every bite. The frosé was spot on too but order it as soon as you sit down so it has time to reach that perfect consistency. The service was amazing . Everything was on point. I'll definitely be back!

Parking was also easy, with a garage directly across the street that the restaurant will validate for you--a nice bonus considering parking around a college campus can sometimes feel like its own competitive sport. The restaurant itself is spacious and also has private rooms available if you're planning a private celebration or event. We were seated at one of the tables surrounding the large bar area, which had a nice atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal and did a good job taking care of us. We started with the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, which were really good and definitely a great way to kick off the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Nova Cravers, which are essentially three sliders served with fries. The sliders were decent, although I do wish the fries had been a little crispier. My wife enjoyed her Fried Chicken Cobb Salad, while our son was happy with his Chicken Parmesan and side of pasta. The highlight of the meal, though, may have been dessert. We finished with the Banana Beignets, which were absolutely delicious, especially with the yummy dipping sauce. All in all, we had a great experience. Between the beautiful setting, convenient parking, attentive service, and solid food, Refectory is definitely a place we would come back to.

I had the BLT with avocado and every part of the meal was excellent. The toasty bread was crisp and had a really nice texture; the egg was cooked just how I asked; the bacon a perfect balance of crisp and chewy. I asked for an extra side of avocado (I'm all about getting my fiber) and it arrived at the peak of perfect ripeness. The home fries were tender and savory. Also my cappuccino was delicious. The dining area was very clean and had a faintly rustic feel. The bathroom was also sparkling clean. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes, too, but never felt rushed. There were plenty of vegetarian options. I'm not too sure about it if you have to avoid dairy or gluten; the menu has a lot of that. Handicap access was pretty good: no steps to get in and out of the place. Honestly I can't wait to visit here again!

So rather than their week at NJ shore, the crowd beat it to Apple Walnut. Took a little over 10min to be seated, so not terrible, but this was at the very tail end of service. I was born with an intermittent fasting stomach; I've never been a breakfast-eater and brunch is gross to me! I mention this because I've never taken my son out for breakfast foods so it was great to have this experience. My little one had a HUGE "Go Go Bananas" It said it was "hot cakes stuffed with Bananas" but they were just plain. It mentioned caramel on top which wasn't there (they subbed syrup without asking); frustrating and unprofessional. It also had a slice of poundcake French Toast topped with grilled bananas, and then banana French Toast with granola. It was a decadent treat of gluten and sugar that we don't normally eat at home. My son was really happy. My burger was okay but not memorable, and the fries were that awful batter-dipped cheap kind that I don't eat and they just made the whole thing "mid" as the kids say. Service was very very slow per the crowd and it being the end of the shift. Our server was cheerful and I told her to take her time, but I didn't realize we'd be left waiting forever for water refills, 30min for food (kitchen's fault), and at least 10min after asking for check. I still tipped well over 20% but their staff seems too spent and overwhelmed from the crazy crowds that are so unusual this time of year. In summary, it was great for decadent breakfast foods, diner-quality for my burger, and while I understand how taxed our server was, the service really dragged. I had seen reviews commenting on the wait but do beware that it's still suuuper bad apparently at all times of their hours, and even random weekdays when people are enduring their Trump staycations. I rate it a 3 but my son was so happy with his food so I rounded up.
