This is the before photo of my hash browns. Look like they were dunked in some temperature oil and then thrown in the tin foil.

Quite frankly I can only imagine that this is a franchise location that is an embarrassment to the entire company. They're not friendly and they do not care about the quality of the food that they are putting out. Wrapping a croissant in tin foil and then pressing it down does very bad things for your sandwich. Serving hash browns that are a lethargic White and glistening with oil could only mean that the oil was not up to temperature before they were put in. I've attached before and after pictures of the hash browns, the after pictures are after 15 minutes of my home air fryer to actually cook them. Probably the simplest thing on the menu that came straight out of a bag was screwed up.

I don't make a point to review chains but despite the fact this is a chain, inclusive of the word "Manhattan" in its name they have... pork roll and use real egg on their sandwiches (if I recall correctly). So, if you're hungry for a pork roll, egg and cheese on a bagel (naturally), you can come here and get one at any hour.

Staff is rude and they charged me $1.25 extra to butter my bagel. I'll go to Panera next time.

I currently live in Delco, and as a result, I've frequented the same places for the last twenty-five years. Then I stumbled onto Van Horn's one day, and my cheesesteak experience hasn't been the same since. I stuck with the same steak for a while -- I highly recommend the blackened chicken cheesesteak. But recently I ventured out to try something new, and once again, Van Horn's didn't disappoint. The fact that you can get your chicken cheesesteak chopped or chunked is another nice touch. It's rare that I pay for something I'm used to paying a little less for and feel like I actually got my money's worth -- but that's exactly the case here. I've talked to family and friends, and we'll gladly rank Van Horn's as the best place in Delco, hands down, against any other contenders. Sitting here right now, looking forward to chowing down for lunch. Thanks!

The next-to-last time we were there, I guess we were laughing too loudly at the show they had on the television so they abruptly changed the channel. Yes, we were there a bit longer than we might have been if we hadn't been enjoying the show, but it's not as if we were super loud or preventing anyone else from getting a table. Of course, I had to pay extra to get "extra" meat on my sandwich and you can't even ask for just white meat. If you don't pay extra, you have zero chance of feeling as if you got a turkey sandwich. The last time we were there (and I see no reason for it to not be our LAST visit), the guy at the counter actually agreed with me that it is actually a stuffing sandwich (as opposed to a turkey sandwich with stuffing on it)! I paid the extra money again, but got no more meat than the usual scraps, which were a mix of mostly dark meat, and some dry, hard bits of white meat. Atrocious. Are all the locations this bad?

Breakfast foods are good diner quality. My eggs are always a perfect over easy and my toast nicely toasted. I've had the cheesesteak for lunch, it's your average pizza place cheesesteak and does the job if that's what you are looking for. Oddly have not had the pizza but I'll have to try that one of these days. Service is friendly and efficient, but it's rarely crowded when we are there so I'd expect that. The crowd when I've been there seems to be the same regulars. Retired folks looking for something good to eat, hot coffee, and time to chat with friends without being rushed.
