Manhattan Mini Storage provides a fantastic service to this city! We have been using MMS for about 3 years now and we could not get by without them at this point. We first started at the 29th street location in Chelsea but out grew our space earlier this year and then moved to the 44th St. location to get a massive 800 square foot room. Both locations have loading docks with free parking and enormous freight elevators that will accept basically any item you can think of. One benefit I found at the 44th St. location is that the loading docks are covered, so in the case of rain or snow, you and your stuff are out of the elements. Another key service that has made a huge difference in our small business is package acceptance of shipments from UPS or Fedex. We can have our suppliers send us packages and the friendly staff at MMS will sign and hold the items for us until we come pick them up and bring them to our unit. This is an invaluable service that I would strongly recommend to any small business that is trying to keep operating costs low. Not only is the MMS square foot cost for operational space in central Manhattan extremely low, but also there is no need to staff an address to receive packages. My experience with the staff of both locations has been excellent. The General Manager Robert Munster has done everything in his power to accommodate us in every way possible. I first met him at the 29th St. location, and he has since moved to the 44th St. location as well. His team here at the 44th St. location has always been helpful and the location is well kept by a diligent maintenance crew. The only gripe I have is that the access cards for the front door and elevator (which is a great security feature) can be a bit finicky and frustrating at times. I have been told that this system is going to be updated at some point in the near future so for the time being it is a very minor inconvenience in an otherwise excellent situation. This storage facility has gone above and beyond. I have been a tenant in the facility for almost 7 years. I was looking to downsize my unit and Joe, the manager, completely pulled through. When I say completely, not only did he find me a unit - similar in size - but a lot cheaper AND a move that would've taken me 2 days by myself...HE stepped in and helped me move out of the unit into another one. Physically moving my belongings and helping me pack everything up. I was really nervous to move everything as I had big furniture pieces....which is challenging for a 5'4 lady by herself...He completely took over and helped me. I was shocked that the staff would be so willing and was so very thankful. The management here is great and the staff goes out of their way to completely satisfy the customer. I am so happy to store my belongings in a facility that I know will go above and beyond to make my stay pleasant and EASY. Storage and moving is stressful enough and taking the headache out of it makes it so much more delightful. Best customer service EVER! I have to share this experience with you since it is the best customer service experience I have ever had in any business in this city, and that is saying a lot! As a native NYer I have gotten so used to being kept on hold, endless automated systems, and unreturned calls. But when I called my W44th Manhattan Mini Storage, an actual person picked up! I was calling because I had received a letter saying they would be raising my rates so I called to say that it was unacceptable. The lovely man, Robert, who I spoke with said, "Give me a day and let me see what I can do." He got back to m the very next morning to say if I stayed an additional 8 months, he could lower my bill to less than it was when I first signed on. If I could only stay 3 more months he can drop the bill to what I was originally paying two years ago. He was friendly, kind, and funny. He said they didn't want to lose my business, so we worked something out. I'm glad we did since this facility is clean, well-lit and the staff has always been helpful. I wish all businesses had the same ethical customer service as Manhattan Mini on w44th, they would make a lot more money. read more

This place is the only choice for storage in NYC. From the initial contact I had requesting pricing information to the vacating process, I felt like a VIP and was given special treatment. The entire staff gets a round of applause for going above and beyond for the customers but a special shout out to Julian. He was the one who called me to see if I had made a decision on where I would store my things. He detected some hesitation and asked me point blank, "what's keeping you from making a decision?" Then he went above and beyond and gave me an offer too good to pass up. He demonstrated that he and MMS wanted my business. The convenience of 24 hour access combined with the unbeatable pricing made it a no-brainer. And the unparalleled attention to service just got better. After 8 months of storing my items with them I vacated my unit. The associate that assisted me (I am uncertain of her name, young african female) was so sweet and when she noticed I had a $20 balance she told me she would take care of it. As a New Yorker who has had every experience with every kind of customer service I feel confident in saying that these guys are the best! I have happily been with the 44th street location over five years now. Recently I had a situation that needed immediate attention and the first person I spoke with was extremely helpful and tried to find immediate solutions. When he couldn't he said the General Manger would call and I thought "how many days will that be?", but GM Robert Munster called me back less than two hours later with a terrific solution. It is such a warm surprise when a customer service person actually gives you good service and respect. This is one of the few businesses in Manhattan where they make you feel that your business matters to them. I recommend them highly, and anyone who has a negative review is clearly someone who must be impossible to please because they have always gone out of their way to provide excellent service. read more

We've been happy customers of Manhattan Mini Storage now for almost 5 years. We recently rented a new unit in the building specifically for an event my company was putting on, and the staff at MMS couldn't have been more helpful. They made the entire process of finding a unit with wide doors (and tall ceilings) a breeze. In addition, MMS was gracious enough to let offer us their conference room free of charge for any meals or breaks when we had a crew working late night two days in a row. The night manager those two nights (9/18/17 & 9/19/17) was incredibly gracious, and everyone in my crew was grateful for her help. Knowing that we don't have to worry about any of our items in storage, or that we can receive quality help from any member of the staff at anytime is a huge boon for my company. I had a fantastic experience. Went to move to this location from the one on 107th and although Alexander was with someone he said that I would be "all his" as soon as he finished. I gladly waited and found him to be polite professional and friendly. He took me up to the units and showed me three so I could choose which one I thought was best. He then even got all the paperwork ready and reserved the truck for the move later in the week. He was fantastic. When I went there about 5 days later to move into the unit again I was splendidly surprised with the service. Robert was there and could not have been more helpful or courteous. Both these guys are gems and I even considered stealing one or both of them for my company. So rare to find people that seem to want to take care of the client. Besides Manhattan Mini Storage on W. 43rd btn 10th and 11th ave., their Westside Hwy locale is just as accommodating, the best customer service I've had (unlike the location at 29th and 11th) Jairo is great. He effectively communicates complex topics and effectively moves around obstacles as they present themselves. He helped alleviate the issues that arose with my move from queens to manhattan. Fantastic troubleshooting bar none. Lea creates a positive and inclusive work environment. She creates an atmosphere where people can share their thoughts - good/bad and not fear retribution. This is to sing the praises of one of your employees. With your 58th street location closing, I had to move to 44th (my second such move in the many years I've done business with your company.) Unfortunately, after two rooms of my things had already been transferred to the new location, it turned out the two rooms reserved would not adequate. For a stressful hour after an already exhausting day of moving, it seemed new rooms might not be able to be found in the new location. Extremely helpful service. I showed up at E62nd and they had the space I was looking for just as a walk in off the street. Only issue I had was that it was a bit out of my price range. So the manager Cynthia Cabassa, offered to see if they had a cheaper option on the west side and they did for $100 less! She reserved it for me and when I arrived at the W44th St manhattan mini storage Danushka Wijetunge was the associate I dealt with and was extremely informative about the location and made me feel comfortable about where I was leaving my belongings. I had an excellent experience with this facility. Both inbound getting the unit and outbound when I closed it out, the staff members were well trained on the options available to me and advised me on the best way to meet my needs. They worked with me when I had to move out sooner than expected. The unit itself was spotless, and the climate control was adequate such that I had no worries about some expensive musical equipment which I had stored there. The facility in general is very clean and well maintained. Finally, the prices were quite reasonable for NY city; I researched the costs quite thoroughly and this unit was an excellent value. read more

This past summer I moved into a unit at the West 44th location which was not the perfect size but I had to find something quickly. The manager said to contact them again in the fall when all the students would have vacated their spaces and he was certain more options would come available. Sure enough, today, I had a seamless transfer of my possessions into a new spacious unit. Storage Associate, Danushka Wijetunge, along with the General Manager, Marlon Moreno, were so professional, courteous and efficient. The premises are spotless. One of the best storage facilities in the city! Their free shuttle is extremely punctual and all three times I used it the driver was SO helpful! At the 44th street location Jo (Jovarny) went above and beyond to help me, and made the process completely stressfree! He helped me find a free storage shuttle appointment to move my stuff out of the unit, even though my days and times kept changing. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and because of him I would definitely consider using this again and recommend this storage company to anyone looking to use one! read more

If I could give them NO star I would. They go up on the rent and don't notify anyone. So the bill is sky high and your unable to pay it . I called to try and get a payment plan but the customer service rep Ashley was very rude nasty and unprofessional. She wasn't helpful at all. She stated nasty that they don't do payment plans and that their was nothing that they, as a company can do, if I don't pay I lose my things. I asked to speak to a manager she told that there was no manager there at the time. They have no plan set up if there customers suddenly face hardship. read more

BITE AND SWITCH PRICING, NO COSTUMER SERVICE AFTER YOU SIGN UP. STAY AWAY! The only reason why this location has such a high rating is because they ask costumers to leave a 5 start review during the sign up procedure. They will offer competitive rates to attract costumers but only few months later, they will increase the initial rate by 50-100%. After only 3 months, they have increased my rate by 120%! They do not provide any notice of rate increase. After 3 months of service, you will receive an invoice saying that that your rate is increased. read more

This place is awesome. Open 24 hours and the BEST customer service. Last night I had to clean my storage until around 8 at night. Robert, at the front desk, helped me so generously and patiently. He was so quick to help me with information about downsizing. After cleaning out my storage unit, I brought my trash downstairs and paid for the disposal. I came in from out of State to help my elderly uncle clean out his storage units. Rob, Thom, and Ashley were AWESOME! I was on a tight time frame, made even tighter by the fact that my uncle and I could only work at the unit when his health allowed. Found nearly all the employees to be great. And the manager Milo is super. I told one guy that he was a very hard-working guy, always taking care of the facilities. So let me post that Weill Coteb is a hard-working, dedicated employee that MMS should be proud to have. The 24/7 access is handy. The advantage is offset by the fact that its proximity to the Lincoln Tunnel approaches makes it rough around rush hours. But it is a clean and safe location with lots of options and great staff and management. read more

The team is very professional, and the facility is extremely clean, accessible, and well laid out.
