OH my goodness when I say the ladies here are AMAZING, I am not even exaggerating. I have gotten my nails done for years and I stopped going during the pandemic cause they were pricey and never stayed for more than two weeks. BUT the girls here are seriously professionals - everyone of them are so talented with design, they make sure your actual nails are prepped and ready to prevent lifting, they take their time and honestly in my opinion they are not over priced for the quality you get. I spend anywhere from 85-95 for my set ever 4 weeks and they look amazing even at 4 weeks - yes they are over grown, but the nail itself is perfection. The staff is always very friendly and the salon itself is clean, nicely decorated, and has a welcoming atmosphere. They have a small parking lot that is shared with a couple other businesses. Sorry to leave a bad review. I'm underwhelmed. Expensive and mediocre. Upgraded to a longer lasting manicure but the color is incomplete. The whole $30 manicure might have taken her 15 minutes. Honestly i just went there and for a toddler of 3 year old basic pedicure they charge me $40 i didnt want to say anything becuase thats how im i just observed and keep going . Also she kind of rush me Tompick my color ishe said it aa sapink color with a second coat it turns more pink however it didnt it just a really dead color asked for three coats ans she no Even though it was gel at the end there is nothing else you can do But to pay . I had a wonderful experience at this salon and can see why all the reviews have been stellar. I got a gel manicure and pedicure at this appointment and enjoyed every minute of it. It is a little bit pricier than my usual nail salons here in STL but worth it. For my pedicure, I chose the french vanilla treatment which I think are the massage oils and moisturizer that they use on your legs. Plus they massaged my feet with hot stones which I love! The massage chairs were very relaxing too. My gel manicure was applied very carefully and look fantastic! I also got a choose another scent of massage oil. Afterwards they applied cuticle conditioner since they were a little dry. It was also a nice touch to be given a bottle of water before my manicure started. Overall this is a beautiful nail salon that was relaxing and serene. I think I may have found my new favorite nail salon! read more

They were able to accommodate 3 people for a walk-in on a Monday afternoon. The pedicure was fantastic and I definitely got my money's worth. For $40 I could choose my scent for the scrub (coffee, vanilla, lemon' etc.), they used hot stones for a leg massage, hot towels, and paraffin wax in little plastic bags on my heels. Got a pedi on a slow Monday evening. The salon smells great- not like some salons hat are all noise and fumes. Instead, they have calm instrumental music in the background and you can select a scent for your pedi- I chose coffee. The technician was very capable and I had a pleasant experience. This was one of the worst pedicures I have ever received. It was over in like 15 minutes with minimal massage (she basically just put lotion on). On top of that, the pedicure was meant to include a scrub, and the girl put the scrub on but didn't scrub. I really wouldn't have minded except she didn't bother to properly buff my feet-when at the very beginning I said I wanted soft feet. This was a complete waste of time. I feel like she was just in a hurry to finish with me instead of actually taking care of me. read more

I also felt like she was in a race to get me in and out of there in a record time. It is now 4 days later and my nails look god awful. I came here for a gel manicure and regular pedicure for the first time this morning, I recently moved to U City and this spa is close to my new home. I came without and appointment and I didn't have to wait at all which was nice. However, the techs gave me SO much pressure to pick a gel nail polish color. Like, they are throwing those damn color wheels at me and keep demanding I choose one immediately. And I am talking like this is all in the space of 2 minutes... give me a little bit to decide! It was really off putting. The pedicure MAYBE lasted 20 minutes, they spent almost no time on massage and scrubbing my feet, however they did do a decent job with the polish. The gel manicure was done ok but the tech nipped my cuticle and made me bleed and again, almost no time spent on massage. The biggest thing though was the tech was MESSY with my mani. I have gel paint on my cuticles and the skin on the sides of my nails and I DOUBT this manicure will last me more than a week. Its a shame. I am just going to keep going to Central West End Nails and Spa instead, they know how to give a proper mani/pedi. read more

Update: My nails starting chipping just 3 days after my gel manicure. Probably the cutest nail salon in St. Louis, however the service doesn't quite match. I was with a small bridal party and we were the only ones in the salon for a good hour or so. The minute we walked in the door they were extremely pushy and rushing us with what services we were getting and what nail colors we wanted. I'm sorry, but when you hand me a pile of nail colors I need a minute to decide what I want. The foot and hand massage were both the worst massages I've ever received. The nail technician acted like it was torture to massage my hands and feet. I didn't feel that the service I received was worth a 15-20% tip. As we were leaving the technician came running up to me and handed me back what I had given her and said she didn't need it. I felt this was very unprofessional. I would have given this place another try, but this was the icing on the cake. I will not be back. read more

Quick and nice nail work. But not so attentive in the massage part. Staff give you the look when tip is lower than what they expected. (This is not the attitude which attracts higher tips next time. You can't shame customers into tips; you can only guilt them with your exceptional service, which justifies tips!) Update: nail color takes very long to dry and easily peel off after a day. Not sure if this is the normal consequences of kitchen work. I don't do nails that often. read more

Was treated to a pedicure here, courtesy of my workplace. I brought my own base, top coat, and color (the OPI Gel Envy system) and was told three different times I couldn't use it because it counted as an "up charge" product that my workplace didn't pay for. Three times I explained that I had brought my own. I get it--they don't want to be had, but it got repetitive. I will say though, that this was almost a welcome annoyance compared to years past when we were sent elsewhere and the techs harassed us endlessly to upgrade our service. I think this place might be really good if you don't go as part of a group--we never seem to have amazing experiences when we get sent for our yearly treat--it's almost as if they want us in and out as to not disturb any other business that may walk in. Anyway, I digress. The pedicure was quick. Probably the fastest I've ever had. I was seated, soaked, sorta scrubbed and done in 15 minutes. I will say, though, that the tech I had did a really great job shaping and painting. Over a week later, they still look great. This place is a bit more expensive than other places I've frequented (and had a better overall experience at) so I can't say if I'll be back to see if they're deserving of a higher rating. End product was well-done, and for free to me, that can't be beat. read more

I am a faithful client of a near-by nail salon located in Clayton. However, I ended up at Mani & Pedi because my long-time technician was on vacation. I have passed this salon many times and thought it was gorgeous, so I took this opportunity to temporarily venture away from my current salon to give it a try. I originally wanted to go all out on a pamper day and schedule a wax service, (acrylic) fill and pedicure. I was informed that the lady who performs the waxing services was on vacation for the whole month. This shop has only been open for about 5 months. I wish my job would let me take that type of vacation so soon. Anyway, so I was not able to get the wax service. My nails are OK, at best. The technician changed the shape of my nails without me asking or even giving permission. They are pointier now. To be fair, they are not at all terrible, I just wasn't asked if that is what I wanted. Next, the technician paid no attention to the sides of my nails that needed some reinforcing. She literally only filled in the space at the very top near the cuticle, ignoring the small cracks and weak spots in the acrylic. For this, I will probably have to get them done again sooner than expected because they will get weaker and weaker and break. I paid $12 more than what I normally pay for a fill, and the end result was underwhelming. I decided not to get the pedicure, either. There are nice touches, though. For one, my cuticles were trimmed and there are complimentary quick dry drops at the end. Most shops do not offer this or do so for an additional charge. The pedicure chairs look amazing, but I am not sure if i will be back to partake. Be warned, in today's age of credit and debit cards, this salon prefers you tip in cash. Also, the parking lot says it is for Preston Salon, only. However, Mani & Pedi customers are allowed to park there. I did not know that and paid for a meter. Lastly, they were 15-20 minutes late getting to me, despite me having an appointment. **UPDATE: As expected, my nail just broke not even a full 48 hours after the appointment. Not only will I go get it repaired at my usual nail salon, I will have them all completely done over. Waste of resources, both time and money. Dropping this down from 3 stars to 1. read more

As a recent resident to U city, this place was very close. I decided to pop in! While there was no wait, I got in immediately and sat down. I noticed four other women getting pedicures as well and they had already been started on. To my disbelief, my pedicure was finished in FIFTEEN MINUTES long before ALL FOUR OF THOSE WOMEN were done with there. Rushed to pick an exfoliant when I sat down (out of 6 options mind you), and I've NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE. I was asked 3 times which one I wanted and I hadn't even read all the options yet.
