Upon entrance, first impression... very clean and organized establishment. Also very cutely designed. Check-in was electronic... quick and easy! I was serviced by Lana. I'm pretty easy or should a very simple client when it comes to my requests, but very particular about how I'm treated and how my hands and feet look. I requested traditional French manicure on my hand and white toes. You'd be surprised how many times I've a French manicure messed up. Checkout was equally as easy. I was in the area and in need of a manicure, so I decided to check out this spot next to one of my favorite restaurants for lunch/dinner. I asked a few questions here on Yelp prior to making the 8 min drive there from Crofton, only to find out they have awesome reviews. Well, I'm here to tell ya that it was worth the hype! I came in for just a manicure, but the place was very clean and they make sure you wash your hands before picking out the polish. The manicure to include the painting was very detailed. I came in with my wife for an appointment we had for 1:30 and they allowed another big party appointment to come in very late pushing my scheduled appointment back over a hour. That was very unprofessional of the business to allow that. My wife did her appointment but I declined to get mine. They should have told the other party to wait or reschedule. Then they tried to explain different reasons why they were running behind. I heard like 4 different reasons. I do not recommend this place. Inside looks nice though. read more

Really cute nail salon tucked on a country road, away from the hustle and bustle. It's easy to get a walk-in appointment here most of the time- the space is large and they are often well-staffed but calling ahead is ideal if you want to get in and out quickly. The owners / management / and most of the original nail technicians have all left Gambrills Mani Toes. The new team is not terrible but they also aren't exceptional. Lily did my nails a few times after the ownership change and her work was solid but it took quite a while longer than I usually spend to get a full set of gel tips, or a fill-in, or a pedicure during those visits and I spent longer with her than I ever used to with the previous team, while she didn't actually do any nail designs for me. They also were out of 4 different gel colors I wanted to try on my last visit and some colors they did have seemed watered down, which NEVER occurred during my yeeeears of visiting previously. I don't believe their new team has anyone able to do nail design work like Tony used to, so you may need to book a flight to Round Rock, TX if you don't have 8 hours to spend getting your nails done or if you want any nail art like the photos I've posted. I would revisit them if I really needed an emergency appointment and could not get on the schedule at Lua Nails in Odenton, but this is no longer my go to shop, as I have received many inquiries recently. read more

I've been watching this place pop up in my Yelp Activity section for almost 2 years now. One of my yelp friends is always posting her beautiful nail designs and just how outstanding this place is, so of course I had to check it out!! Maaaaaaaannnnnnn.......I'm so mad I waited so long. The whole establishment is top notch from the front to the back. The staff is super friendly and they make you feel ultra comfortable. This is definitely the lavish place you want to come to be pampered. They do manicures, pedicures, waxing and massage.....all the things you need to get your outer and inner appearance right. I opted for the jelly pedicure and it was worth every penny. It runs about $70 but the service is about an hour. The jelly was like nothing I've ever experienced before in the pedicure world. I honestly don't think I'll be able to get any other kind after it. The jelly has to be pretty hot to do the job it's suppose to so if you can't take the heat this treatment might not be for you. Amy was my technician and she was fantastic. The girl can work a tie!!! She trimmed, clipped, scraped ,massaged, polish and made small talk.....everything I needed. I've been coming here since 2018, as I live near by. My favorite nail tech, Nini used to hook my nails up! Perfect shape and took great care of my nails. I was pretty upset when she moved to a differ salon and would travel out of the way to still go to her but would still go here for convenience. Lana started doing my nails and the first time she did an amazing job! I told her how I have two kids under three so my skin is super dry and my nails can't be too sharp. When I came back, she didn't recognize me which is fine!!! But didn't do as great of a job on my nails. As they were lifting (acrylic) faster than usual. I went in today for a fill and she said I waited too long and that's why they were lifting so bad. It has been 3 weeks but she told me it had been months.... I also re-explained why my skin was dry and she still asked me "what's wrong with your skin". She then proceeded to talk about me to the other employees, as they all started staring. After rushing me and trying to convince me to do SNS instead. I just said forget it and left. They charged me $10 to remove what was even left on my nails from the half job she originally did. Today was my second visit to Mani-Toes, and I wanted to be fair before I wrote a review, so here goes. I called at 2:30pm and got an appointment for 3:30pm. My nail technician, Miley, was very sweet. She engaged me in light convo without being too talkative. She also did a great job on my dipped nails and "natural" pedicure. The place is very clean with modern decor. They have snacks that are available upon request. They won't offer them to you without you asking. The pedi chairs look like white thrones with pillows and fluffy white coverings. Although very comfortable, the chairs do not provide a massage. However, I was told that the chairs will be replaced with massaging chairs soon. My pedicure was very relaxing with an epsom salt bath and a wonderful foot massage. The stations are super close to one another. If you happen to sit next to someone chatty, you will be highly disappointed. The place is one huge room. There are no private stations if you want a more relaxing experience. It's definitely not the cheapest place to get your nails done, but worth the price. read more

My whole experience was pleasurable-from booking to departing. Booking my appointment was fairly easy and painless. I was able to make an appointment the day before and they were able to fit me in. The wait wasn't long at all and I got a chair for my pedicure. The tech who performed the pedicure was nice and did a really good job. The place looks gorgeous but the nail tech Phong did a horrible job on my nails. Phong is a licensed cosmetologist she is not a licensed nail tech. I told the manager that she was not doing my nails properly. While I'm talking to the female manager, she had her arms crossed stating that she would talk to her but I knew she wouldn't because of her nonchalant body language. The manager stated that everyone does nails different but it should be done according to the State board. She slapped the acrylic on my nails like she was practicing. I kept telling her I don't like what she's doing and she continued to do a horrible job. Finally, I just asked her to stop because she was not qualified to do my nails at all. A licensed cosmetologist can do mani's and pedi's but one specializes in hair not nails like a nail technician. Phong can practice on someone else's nails in beauty school but not charge me $55 for a $free99 job! read more

My coworker and I came in without an appointment on a Friday morning at about 11:00. The front desk greeted and had us sign in. We were able to get right in even though it seemed busy. It is very clean in and you don't ever feel nervous about the tools they are using. Also it is very organized. The nail technician Mena was friendly and took very good care of my nails. I always have gel polish and when it has to get taken off sometimes salons are very hard and damage my nails. They do have a rewards program so you can build up points to get a discount. I wanted to treat myself to a mani and pedi for my birthday, so I decided to try this salon based off of the reviews. I must say that I was not disappointed. My first experience at the salon was a good one and was well worth the 30 minute drive to get there. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door...pretty much everyone I encountered there was nice and delivered good customer service. I visited the salon on a Monday at around 3pm, so there was no wait time. My pedi was first, I got the Keep It Simple pedicure for $35. I forgot to get the techs name but she did a great job. They line the bowl with plastic, so they are hygiene conscious. The chairs are not the typical massage chairs...they are just regular oversized, white plush chairs but I was still comfortable. I saw they had a side bar with bags of chips and bottled water but it was never offered to me, so I'm going to assume it's self serve. The tech who did my manicure was Nini and I really liked her, she did a great job. I got nail tips added and used dipping powder for color, I believe that was $50. I originally asked for almond shape but after seeing the first nail, I didn't like the shape on my hand, so I asked Nini to do a coffin shape instead and she was able to fix my nails as requested. Overall, I had a good visit and would recommend this salon to others. I signed up for their customer loyalty program, so I'll be back for sure! read more

First off lemme say this it's cute and clean inside but my experience was subpar. My tech was Lin, she is nice but but service very mediocre. For example pedicure should include a foot massage. Mine included a long rub on my legs total waste to get an upgrade on pedicure when she focused on my legs. My nails are the worst I ever had, she didn't listen I said medium and they are super short. I have clumpy gel polish and she didn't do enough coats. If I wasn't in there for 2 and half hour I would've got them fixed. They have regular clientele which I feel like they cater too.
