The manager ended up providing the service since everyone else was busy. She did a great job. I just needed a clean up and she did exactly what I asked for. They do require a $15 deposit to book an appointment which can be used toward the service you receive or you can keep rolling it forward as your deposit for future appointments. read more

I was charged for TWO nail repairs. The nail tech did not repair a single nail. Instead, he "popped off" two of my old acrylics and charged me for "nail repairs". He also did the wrong cat eye color and had to grind it off in order to fix that. I was charged $75, $14 of which was for repairs that were not conducted. I normally pay $60 for a fill WITH design at my normal salon. I will NOT be back. I only went here today because my normal nail tech does not availability until next week and my nails were looking crazy. Also, the salon was in various states of disrepair. I have been going to Lúa for three years and today, I had my fill-in done by Jennifer. This was my first time getting my nails done by her and she is excellent at her craft! I asked for a deep french and showed her a picture. She quickly began working, actually 5 minutes before my appointment was scheduled to begin. She was diligent about ensuring that the colors matched my previous set. She was fast, detailed, and professional, asking me the occasional question to ensure she met my expectations. It is very, very, very important to me that a nail shop is clean and up to safety standards and Lúa is. I love being greeted as soon as I walk in with warm, bright smiles and positive energy. The shop is gorgeous, I just love the decor. I love the featured pedicures each month, holiday or season with a pairing mocktail, I might add. How unique is that. No they unfortunately do not have wine, but the time and quality they perform on my nails definitely makes up for that. (3/19/25) My inspo vs. my nail pic...not a really big fan. The lady rushed towards the end, I feel like I have Jersey Nails (no offense to anyone from jersey) but she layered my gel thick af. I wanted to really love this salon. I saw another nail tech in there I want to try...so I'll keep yall updated. The overall salon was nice, staff was super friendly and there was parking (3/30/25) So they invited me back to fix my nails which I thought was super nice. The nail tech informed me I would have to pay due to my nails being close to two weeks old (needed a fill-in) which I agreed because it made sense plus I wanted a fresh set. I sent my nails inspo the day before (seen below, pink ombre w/gel design). I was really hoping this time it would come out nice...it actually got worse. The colors are wayyy off - for the nail bed she used a dark pink (almost brown looking) the ombre isnt smooth and the gel design isnt even close. Finding a new salon can be frustrating and I found Lua after I had a horrible experience else where. Emma is my go to for my hands and Ms. Hanna is amazing for pedicures. I literally dont book with anyone else! They always make sure that I am taken cared of and I feel comfortable to express my concerns. Every service I have done here (over 3 yrs now) has been clean, fun and exactly what I wanted, when I wasnt they listened to me and helped me come to a solution (broken nail, didnt like the color etc) They can get quite busy on fridays and the weekends but dont pass up this nail spa. Finally found the nail salon! After cracking my acrylic nail (again ), I decided it was time for a change and came across this gem while looking for a new salon. I booked an appointment the day before with a $15 deposit--super easy process. After chatting with a friend, I decided to try GelX for the first time. I was randomly paired with a tech named Kelly, and honestly, I lucked out. She didn't talk much, which I appreciated since I spend all day talking at work--peace and quiet was exactly what I needed. I showed her my inspo photo, and while my acrylic was soaking off properly (not the horror of ripping it off ), Kelly went and found all the exact polish colors from the picture. Total match! She was so gentle with my damaged nail beds (two were broken from the acrylics), and her attention to detail was everything. The shape, the length, the design--perfect. It was worth every single cent. From the moment I walked in to walking out the door--with a full acrylic removal, GelX application, and custom design--it was less than 2 hours. I used to love going to Lua and really like the aesthetic of the salon. I was coming here regularly until I got turned away on a late weekday afternoon. I walked in and asked for a color change. There was maybe two people being serviced at the time and I was told by one of the nail techs that there's no availability for the rest of the day. I'm sure any place can squeeze in a color change, but he wasn't trying to be accommodating. Several times before this occurrence, I would call to schedule and they will say there's no availability, but when I go on their online scheduler, there are many slots open. I don't know if there's been a change of management or if they're understaffed, but they are not at all accommodating, and I shouldn't have to beg to patronize your business. I've even called with a different number once as a test to see if I was blacklisted, but I got the same response. The least they can do is offer an alternative time or day, but they rather turn clients away. I've just decided to receive my nail services at another salon. read more

Everyone is very nice and friendly. I love that they ask you to wash your hands before the service. They have a great variety of pedicures and nail colors. Visiting town and decided to get my moms nails done for her birthday. I also got my nails done. Mani & pedi for both. I checked around for nail salon and checked reviews. I'm very big on reviews. The reviews for this salon seemed very good so I decided to give them a call & book an appt they charge me a $32 deposit fee to secure my appt which I don't mind. We get the salon and the pedi was alright, I went with Hanna since I had read good reviews about her. She did give a good massage, but my pedicure isn't good. She didn't paint the full toe nails you can clearly see it. The job was just not well done. Then they try to charge you more and more for any extra little things you want. The inspo picture for my moms is not the same as her nails they didn't add the clear design we showed her and they still charged my mom for all her 10 fingers. Overall this place is wayyyy to overpriced for the quality we received. We won't be coming back. If your ok with nails lifting only 2 days after your appt then this might be the place for you. read more

My experience was pretty good here outside of the fact that my gel nail polish did not last. 3 days after I came her 3 toes had no polish on them. It has been over 2 years since I had a pedi. My DD kindly treated me as a late Mother's Day gift. She made appointments this morning and was able to get us in at 10:30. This is really a beautiful salon. I like the décor very much - there are framed inspirational quotes everywhere, along with live plants. It's sparkling clean, as well. My tech was Tommy and I got the best ... everything! Gentle but firm touch, explained that they do the polish before the scrub and massage, did a beautiful job on my toes... and the massage, ohhh my. Overall experience not pleasant. What drew me in was the images online of the shop and the 4.5 star customer rating. For a reference, I travel a lot and have been to over 50 nail salons in my lifetime. This one has had the worst customer service of them all. When I walked in, they asked me if I had an appointment. Not a "welcome in" or "hello." I asked if they had time for a gel pedicure and he seemed caught off guard then asked me to wash my hands. After washing my hands, he told me to sit in the waiting room. While waiting, another walk-in customer arrived and was seated for a pedicure before me. A few minutes later, they came to get me to be seated and he asked if I had a color picked out - but they never gave me the color palette. He sat me and said he'd grab the colors for me, which he never did. The nail tech began the pedicure and about ten minutes in, I asked for the gel colors so I could pick one out. The nail tech did an awesome job, so if I could I'd give him 5 stars. I'd rate the vibe a 3 due to the lack of cleanliness and intoxicating headache-inducing smell as you walk through the door. I like this place however, they bite off more than they can chew!! Now if my appointment is for 4pm, I expect for my nail tech to be able to see me at that time ( 10 min grace period max) if I was 10 minutes or more late they would forfeit my appointment to the next client. She did good job on my feet, I had the Mojito pedi. The package itself is expensive, plus they tack on a $20 gel nail polish fee so my pedi is now.$73 without tip. They seem to cater to regulars, although this was my second visit, not sure if I'll return. My pedi was decent, but I don't like places that don't communicate with you but will communicate with their co workers in their language, are they talking about my feet that hadn't had a pedi in over a month or what?! The place is nice it looks updated however they are expensive for what you get. They overbook, and frown if you bring in outside food. I gave Lua Nail's shop a shot and went in for first time. I asked for French gel manicure and French pedicure (no gel). In less than 24 hours, my French gel manicure already started chipping off. The young woman I had seemed inexperienced in doing nails particular the French gel manicure. This shop seems a hit or miss depending if you get a skilled nail tech or not. Unfortunately, for me I had to go to a major professional event with chipped nail after one day of getting them done. Also, this nail tech felt like a touch and go with the pedicure and seemed to rush toward the end. I normally tip but didn't tip this time. Last thing, the place smells pretty strong of chemicals. New to this area so yesterday was my first time visiting this salon. I scheduled ahead of time online. I booked with someone who was listed as doing both pedicures and fill-ins (acrylic). I arrived and was told by Emma, person I was booked with, that Hannah would be doing my pedicure. Emma said something to the effect of "She does them better" or "I don't do them that good." Either way, she suggested Hannah was better than her and so she had Hannah do my pedicure. I would not see Hannah for pedicures again. I get gel on my toes. The results were poor and time spent was too long. She is super gentle when trimming nails and removing calluses that it starts to feel unnecessarily ticklish. The clear final polish (still gel) was applied on my cuticle and skin. This will almost certainly be lifting within a week. I attached pictures. The clear top coat is most visible on the big toe. If Hannah's pedicures are better than Emma's, according to Emma herself, then don't see Emma for pedicures either. Emma is ok with fill-ins. She is pretty slow though. The nail was left thicker than what I'm used to. Could be a style/preference thing, not sure. Either way, not my thing. I have some minor dimpling on the polish (gel). I attached a picture but I don't think the dimpling shows. Time spent in salon was three hours. Overall experience was disappointing. I'll keep searching for someone who can do both pedicures and fill-ins. read more
