THIS PLACE! It's hard to explain why it's so great...mostly that it makes working out "Fun."

I already had low expectations regarding this place due to the negative press of this franchise…read more They have a reputation for being weird about the dress code. I read stories about pregnant women being asked to leave because their belly showed a bit under their shirt, or fit women wearing sports bras intimidating the other gym members. I thought I would be OK because I dress conservatively and was fully covered. One day I wore a stretch denim pant with a t-shirt and jacket over it because I'm always cold inside. I've worn it numerous times before - it was never an issue. One day I was suddenly told I couldn't wear it - specifically the demin pant. I didn't make a scene. I said OK, and immediately canceled my membership and never returned. No explanation was given to me as to why they would have an issue with it. It's a pair of pants. I was fully clothed. No explanation whatsoever. As I previously stated, I was already aware this franchise with super weird about people's clothing. The only reason I joined this gym was because the membership here is the cheapest. But the dress code wasn't the only reason I had quit. It was the last straw. If you're a woman trying to lift weights, get ready to wait a long time to even have access to the weights. There aren't enough 5lb - 8lb weights to go around. In fact, they only have one set of each - so if someone is using them, get ready to wait a while. It's also very crowded. The Wakefield branch in particular has this weird knack for randomly blocking off the inside doors (there's a set of doors that lead directly into The Wakefield Mall). Again, no explanation provided - sometimes the doors are open, and sometimes they aren't - they just randomly block the doors so that if you wanted to go to the mall (like Panera) to get a bite to eat after the workout, you now have to walk outside, in the cold, instead of just going through the entrance like any normal person.

In the summer it's riddled with old summer folks who move at the speed of molasses like they don't have a day job to get to. If you go right when they open have fun in a hot steamy gross room cause they don't properly air the place during night. The people working the desk are less than friendly. Lately they don't even supply paper towel to wipe down with. Walk into the locker rooms? Have fun getting smacked in the face with hot air and dookie stank. And last but def not least they literally have rules on the wall "no spaghetti straps" but what do we have? A whole bunch of young ho3s walking around in their skimpy shorts and sport bras just so desperate and dying for attention. This place was worth the money the first one or two years of being open but now it's just miserable from the time you go in to the time you leave. I honestly couldn't be paid to come anymore. Planet fitness do better.

A month ago, my lower back pain was a mess. Nagging pain was affecting my daily quality of life…read more Then I found Dr. Belanger at the Center for Health in Wakefield. My daily pain is almost gone now. I don't have to see an orthopedic doctor, and I don't have to get an epidural shot. I no longer take muscle relaxers or 800 mg. of precipitation strength Motrin. After one or two more visits, I will see Dr. Belanger for a maintenance adjustment. I've been singing the praises of this chiropractor to a number of locals, and I will continue to do so. He has helped me tremendously. Walking and climbing stairs are no longer an issue for me. Dr. Belanger's receptionist was also able to fit me in the very day that I called. Dr. Belanger is also now the sole owner of this business. The office is conveniently located on Salt Pond Road (close to the Two Ten Oyster Bar and Grill. There is plenty of parking. The office is also immaculate.

I am feeling so much better now. I had worked in the medical field for over 35 years at RIH, and the one thing that I appreciate also with him along with his assistance Miranda is they show much personal compassion and concern for their patients. That is something that I found lacking in hospitals by many of the staff. Treating a patient is not just physical, but treating a patient with respect, compassion and concern for them is just as important, if not more important sometimes. So, again I am so happy that I am being treated by Dr. Belanger and his assistant Miranda. You will not be sorry being treated here by them. Allan Z.
