I haven't been to Chef Tobias' restaurant in a long while, so I was excited to try 1123 and it did not disappoint. The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. Came here when they first opened, wasn't wowed, but gave it the benefit of the doubt and returned this weekend. Unfortunately, highly disappointed. The menu has shrunk significantly and what's left doesn't justify the price point. $20 for deviled eggs? And nearly everything is paired with grits, which is interesting for a restaurant billing itself as African and Asian fusion. I brought a Nigerian friend along and we were both equally confused by that creative direction. Safe to say grits aren't exactly a staple. We were told about off-menu options tomahawk, ribeye (out of stock), and branzino. We went with the branzino and a potato hash that turned out to be exactly what it sounds like: cut up potatoes and what tasted like powdered eggs straight from a hotel breakfast buffet. The branzino needed salt, pepper AND hot sauce to get there, that's not a seasoning preference.. The ambience and decor remain the highlight genuinely a beautiful space. But a pretty room can only carry so much. I wanted to love this place. I really did. But I don't think a third visit is in the cards. read more

We made birthday reservations for dinner back in March assuming that it would be hard to snag a resy based on the reservations wait time based on past reviews. So we were super surprised when we arrived to be only 1 of 4 tables seated in the entire restaurant our entire stay, I guess the thrill is gone. We even adhered to a dress code that was not even enforced. We were greeted by the host as soon as we walked in with a glass of champagne. Our server Aniyah was friendly, hospitable and busy, seemingly taking care of all 4 of the tables herself. For appetizers we began with the Wagyu Cheesesteak Fusion Rolls and the Sticky Ribs Suya which both were tender and tasty. For dinner, I ordered the Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto and my friend had the Gochujang-Glazed Salmon Fried Rice. My Ribs were good but it was absolutely nothing compared to that Gochujang-Glazed Salmon Fried Rice. It was hands down the best fried rice that I've ever had! It was spicy, the salmon was juicy and perfectly seasoned. It was delicious. While I get the reverence that Chef Tobias has for Guy Fieri and the food network, since we've watched him on there a billion times, that was all that was played consecutively on all of the TV's. Incredibly mediocre and overpriced food. The wings were hard and tasted like they were frozen. I also ordered the ramen and maybe I'm an idiot for expecting a restaurant that puts ramen on its menu to do it decently but this tasted like and looked like instant ramen. The broth was barely in the dish and practically evaporated about 5 minutes after the dish came out. But was there was incredibly salty. The menu also poorly accounted for what I got, the egg was not a soy egg like advertised on the menu, no chilli oil, no scallions, honestly a complete joke. I suspect maybe they ran out and improvised with whatever was laying around because it had carrots...kimchi and a random stock of bok choy on top. The music was quite loud and the restaurant seems pretty busy. It was a but difficult to get a server nut they were friendly. Then to top it off they collect a 20% service charge. My boo has been telling me he wanted to take us to this spot for a while so we finally tip toed ourselves over there this past Saturday (April 25th). We were going to an outside event, but because the rain and cold we decided to go ahead and try this spot out. And it did not disappoint at all! We did not have a reservation so when we walked in it was packed we were a little worried. But nope we were able to get a table because someone who made reservations didn't come so we were able to slide right on in. We started out with a couple of drinks I believe it was a 1123 punch. It was alright but the drinks I got later made up for that drink not hitting. My boo he ordered the waygu egg rolls and they were fire ok! We also ordered the fried chicken fried deviled and they were so good. Never thought I would like fried deviled eggs. For our entree he ordered the jerk chicken meal and I got the crab risotto, scallops, and spicy broccolini. When I tell you my scallops were so tender and the risotto was so damn cheesy! Lord have mercy! Now to the drinks...so we tried a Hennessy drink can't remember the name was STRONG then my last drink was a nice fruity drink which hit as well. The inside of the restaurant is very much given upscale date night and nice vibes and the DJ was playing those tracks! The only reason I didn't give them 5-stars is the price. They automatically add 20% gratuity and the prices for the food were a little high. But other than those I would love to come back and maybe just sit at the bar during the week day just to see how the vibes are during the week versus the weekend vibes. We made online reservations for Huncho House. We get to Huncho House and ITS CLOSED! There's a note on the door to say to visit 1123 instead. We walked into 1123, which is at the end of the block, and thankfully they had a table for 2 available. This restaurant is a bit small, but there are several small tables. There are even large booths for 4 people and spaces closer to the door for larger parties. Ambience was beautiful. Service was slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. We felt like there was only 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant, not sure. But it would be like 15-20 min before we saw our waitress, who was realllly nice by the way Literally took an hour from when we sat down, to order food and recieve our food. I had the fish & grits. I am not a huge crawfish fan, so I had that on the side. Food was portionable. It was a little bland, but was mentioned that the crawfish sauce is what gave the taste to the overall dish Asked for hot sauce and salt and pepper, and they all came out individually in little cute bowls. Not sure how many chefs were in the kitchen. A table next to us, was seated before us, but didn't get their food until almost 1.5 hours later. Mind you - you only have a 90 min seating We didn't order drinks, so can't note anything on that. Except they had frozen dusse towers. Saw 2 booths order that. "Do Believe The Hype" I really can't say enough about how much I enjoyed the Huncho Experience ( Literally !! ) This place instantly screams awesome vibes the minute you walk in the door... The staff is all smiles and embraces each patron like their royalty! ( Facts ! ) The music keeps the morale upbeat and singing ( you can't help but hit a note or two ! ) And once the dish hit the table it was all business. With that said, I have to give a double salute to the chef & all those assisting with the preparation of the meals ( you are appreciated because you all definitely represented to the fullest ! ) The chicken fried deviled eggs were absolutely scrumptious.... My wife booked a reservation for this restaurant for my 30th birthday. There's a parking garage nearby that we parked at. It's walking distance to the restaurant. When we arrived, we were promptly sat and given complimentary glass of champagne. Very nice touch We were greeted by our server who was a kind lady who took our drink orders and gave great suggestions on the menu. We decided to go with the crab fries and the sticky ribs as appetizers. The fries are freshly cut and they came out nice and hot. I'm not a fan of mayo so I didn't eat the crab fries. The sticky ribs came out and they were A1. I would highly recommend these. Both of the entrees were nicely portioned and were amazing. The branzino was a hit with my wife. She ordered a side of jollof rice which complemented the stew well. It took a while for the entrees to come out. Actually, the table next to us had a manager visit them to comp their entree because there was such a delay in them receiving their food. It was already a bit late so I was sleepy by the time our food came. The ambiance was nice and Afrocentric. I would come back for sure. I joined some friends for brunch at 1123 due to renovations at Huncho House that moved our reservation. I loved the dimly lit, black, Afrocentric interior. The R&B and Afrobeats music playing complemented the ambiance well. I ordered the Laugh Now Cry Later, which is a four-rum blend with different fruit juices. Keep in mind, there are no prices listed on the drink menu, so you won't know how much a drink is until you get the bill. Mine was $22. It was strong but still had a subtle sweetness. This may have been my best dinner experience all year. I am so thankful to have finally tried one of Chef Tobias's restaurants. I've followed his journey on the Food Network and his inspiring recovery after a horrific experience last year. I'm truly grateful to have enjoyed such a fantastic dinner and overall experience at 1123. I think very highly of Chef Tobias and pray he continues to succeed in all his endeavors. He is incredibly talented, and his food speaks volumes. I made the reservation while attending a work conference, not realizing it fell on the anniversary of what must have been a very difficult day for Chef Tobias. It was inspiring to see him continue to push forward and create art through his food. I also appreciated getting the chance to speak with him for a few minutes--it meant the world to me. If I could give out James Beard or Michelin stars, this restaurant and Chef Tobias would certainly receive them. A few months back, we decided to check out Chef Tobias' new restaurant since I loved Huncho House so much. I must admit, I wasn't feeling the limited menu and we just had the rib appetizer and a couple drinks. The restaurant was brand new and we were informed that a more generous menu will be in place in a couple weeks. We attempted to get a quick reservation at Huncho House while sitting there since it's literally right across the street, however, they were booked for the evening. Lets fast forward. After my girl brought up 1123 by Chef Tobias in a random conversation this past Saturday, we made a brunch reservation for Sunday to see how the restaurant has progressed. My goodness!! When I was done, I told her that this was the best tasting meal that I've had in two years.. "No CUT"..lol!! Where do I start. The crab avocado toast for $22 was a meal all by itself. LOADED with crab meat, we literally had to stop eating it because we wanted to save room for our entrees. You ABSOLUTELY have to get this if you're a crab lover! She chose the Apple Pie French toast and I had to get "The Chesapeake" which consist of lump crab loaded grits, jumbo shrimp and a lobster tail for our entrees. I could not believe this masterpiece was only $38. To say our meals were absolutely delicious is an obscene understatement. Oooooooooooooohhhhhh! Was I wrong! I'm one to admit mistakes, and call out my own ignorance! In my defense, I praised Chef Tobias in my first review. I also said Asian/African themed menu wasn't for me. The better half just said, we probably visit places too soon when they open, but we are foodies so we love trying new places. When I wrote my first review of 1123 it had just opened, menu wasn't completed, sushi was still coming, and they had only been open a few months. Well, after dinner on Saturday I thought of Chef Tobias and asked my better half how he thinks he was doing. ****Side Story**** In my first review I mentioned how I'm a fan of Chef Tobias, his cooking is one I tasted when he first retired from the NFL. To know his story is to love and respect this guy even more. Houston used to be home and a few of my very good friends are now retired NBA guys who used him as a personal chef, so to have tasted Tobias food then, to get to eat his creations at his own restaurants now; it's is really special to me. Recently he was ambushed in PG County and for him to be alive, is a miracle. A literal miracle. **** Since I mentioned him, the better half said he wanted to go try brunch at 1123. I complained and reminded him of our experience but then he said we needed to give it another try. Well, well, well I just left Sunday brunch, and it was EVERYTHING! We even saw Chef Tobias there, and to see him in the back area was humbling and gave me chills. God wants this man here, there is REASON! We originally had reservations for Huncho House, but when I arrived there was a letter on the window saying they're currently renovating & temporarily operating out of 1123 ... literally a less than 2-minute walk across the street on the same block. I do wish they would've mentioned that during the confirmation call since they were great about checking in the day of. I was SO excited to finally try this spot, but found out they only serve brunch on Sundays with a limited menu. I was a little disappointed since we were celebrating a friend's birthday but the drink menu is definitely not limited lol. I arrived early and was seated quickly. It's a smaller, intimate space with a bar area and a real fireplace. The huge Black queen painting on the wall is stunning. Very well decorated, clean, and cozy. SMASHED CRESCENT AVOCADO TOAST Topped with a poached egg, lettuce, and shaved parmesan, it was okay. I wish it had fresh smashed avocado slices, and I'm personally not a fan of poached eggs. I did like the semi-Caesar inspired salad element on the croissant, though the concept is there, just needs a little tweaking to perfect it. KOREAN SEAFOOD OMELETTE (Eggs, crab, shrimp, red peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, and crab cream sauce) This was very different than expected in the best way. Crispy edges, unique texture, and so flavorful. I've never had an omelette like this before. It was filling on its own and I'm so glad I chose it. SUYA POTATO HASH Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly cubed, and full of flavor. Exactly how breakfast potatoes should be. BLUEBERRY LEMONADE Sweet with the perfect balance, I really enjoyed this. For the birthday friend, they brought out strawberry cheesecake ice cream with smoke effects and a sparkler. Such a cool presentation and it really elevated the experience. The ice cream was so good, honestly I wish we had ordered more! :) Even though the menu was small, the portions and flavors were surprisingly big. Small menu, huge outcome. Our waitress was a beautiful-spirited lady with the prettiest smile. Great service, greater energy. There is a 20% service fee automatically added (pretty common around the DMV now). I visited **1123** on a Wednesday evening without a reservation, and it was *packed*, always a good sign. Surprisingly, I was seated right away, which was a nice start. I ordered the seabass, which tasted great *flavor-wise*, but unfortunately, it was filled with so many bones that I couldn't enjoy it. After picking through it for a while, I had to send it back. I then tried the kimchi rice, hoping for a solid backup dish, but it really missed the mark. The meat had a strange aftertaste, and the rice itself was bland and underwhelming. That said, our waitress was *outstanding*. She was kind, genuinely apologetic, and clearly wanted to turn the experience around. She even offered to help me find something else on the menu, but by that point, it was getting late and I was ready to call it a night. She did let us know that we caught them on a particularly rough day. apparently, most of the staff was out, and they were working with a limited menu. I recently tried 1123 Restaurant Lounge, (by celeb Chef Tobias) during a Single Mingle event. The ambiance is gorgeous with a touch of Asian flair. The restaurant isn't big so the event was way overcrowded. Thankfully, I found a spot at the bar,where bartender Precious absolutely held it down! Tried the Crunchy Snow Crab Roll (so good) and two cocktails: the Dragonfruit Margarita and Apricot Sidecar. The margarita was the crowd favorite but I liked the Sidecar the most. I made a reservation as soon as I saw Chef Tobias post about a watch party which also culminated with the day we almost lost him, I knew I had to be there to celebrate him. He also mentioned about a special sponsor along with games and prizes so I definitely knew this was going to be my type of event. Bar seat here I come. I didn't realize it is right around the corner from the PG County Mall where Santa and I fell in love last year! I was taken back as I walked out the garage at night and saw people sitting around and standing. I thought how dumb to not research where it actually was but asked about parking to my companion who was meeting me there so I felt prepared, I wasn't. But back to 1123 I loved the decor, food, bathroom, vibe, bar, bartender and the limited menu which I looked over at least six times before deciding upon the suya-spice flaming branzino for myself, whole fried red snapper for my companion, along with their crispy brussels sprouts. I loved the presentation of both fish dishes. My dish casted a nice blue flame and the fried snapper was sitting upright with the brown stew sauce on the side, like requested. The brussels sprouts where cooked perfectly and was brilliantly accompanied our dishes providing a good balance of flavors. Branzino was seasoned great and the char was doing what it was supposed to do by giving all the smoky notes. The snapper, not so much. It missed on a lot of points from the "fresh out the grease" juicy taste to the sweetness red snapper is known for and the brown stew sauce being extremely sweet. I'm not a brown stew person but my companion wasn't a fan of it either. . . . . IDK We also ordered drinks that did not miss and the bartender was there making sure our thirst was quenched. Chef Tobias came out and spoke about his competition on Food Network's Tournament of Champions and how his recovery changed his life. It was inspiring and I had to make myself not cry as I listened to him express how it's affected him. There was also a DJ there playing music when appropriate through the night. I didn't miss the prizes or secret sponsor until I reflected upon the event and looked for the original IG post that grabbed my attention. I guess things change. 1123 by Chef Tobias is located right around the corner from its sister restaurant. This restaurant concept is a fusion between Asian, African, and soul food cuisines. It's a lively atmosphere when you first walk in, and they even had a DJ on the night that I dined there. There's a small bar area with some TVs as well. The dining area is pretty tiny, and the tables are all pretty close to each other, so this isn't the place to have intimate conversations with your companion(s). The server was very friendly and they kept my water glass refilled for the most part. We started with the Apricot sidecar and The Experience Old Fashioned cocktails. They were both really good, and the old fashioned comes with a show, which I always enjoy. For appetizers, we ordered the 1123 Huncho fire roll and the sticky ribs. Both of these dishes were really enjoyable. Unfortunately, the mains fell extremely short for me. The coconut curry chicken ramen was bland, and just not executed very well in general. Same for the pork belly fried rice - I would have expected this dish to be really flavorful, but was also very bland. It could have used a sauce or something to spice it up. The mac and cheese was way too oily for my liking. They don't have a physical dessert menu, but our server was able to tell us what they offered. We got the bread pudding, which was also pretty good. Overall, I wouldn't come back here to dine, but if I was in the area and looking for drinks and an appetizer or two, I would stop in, as this is where they really shined for me. read more

I really enjoyed my brunch experience at 1123. Ky'Ana did an excellent job providing recommendations and prompt service. The Asian influence was evident throughout the menu and I really loved what we tried. The fried chicken deviled eggs were paired with a hot honey drizzle and portions were great. We also ordered the fish and grits, which was so so in flavor, but presentation was on point. The Korean seafood omelet was the star of the show. The omelet was prepared in more of a pancake style (think egg foo young texture) with mushroom cream sauce throughout that was a nice pairing with the shrimp within. The decor in the venue is very vampy with dark furnishings and an in-wall fireplace. The cutlery and dishware was beautiful and very close to Chinese traditional imagery. This could be a nice setting for a dinner date. I did not care for the poor lighting in the restroom, but that doesn't deter me from returning - just something to note. 1123 has a nice, simple décor and the service was excellent--everyone on the team checked in on us. Our large party was seated in a private space, though the lounge-style sectional mixed with tables felt a bit awkward. Appetizers were okay (the ribs were good), but the entrées were the highlight--oxtails, lobster jollof, wings, and sides all came out hot with big portions. Drinks were great. The food choices were befitting a fusion restaurant, however they did not provide us with the sushi menu, but the itamae was present...I don't know what that was about, but I was slightly disappointed. We did order the chicken fried devilled eggs, fried grit cake, fish and grits and the chesapeake. I will say that each of our dishes were delightful. We also ordered drinks: the 1123 punch and the Osaka 23. Both were tasty, but underwhelming. The service was okay. No issues, concerns, or compliments. the staff seemed to be occupied although the establishment was not full. Overall, I would likely only visit during Happy Hour if I went back- to really try the sushi- see if its tasty. Great option for if you don't want to spend a large amount to visit Huncho House, but I honestly think that the menu options place 1123 in a class by itself. read more

I made a reservation at 1123 by Chef Tobias to celebrate my girlfriend and I's one-year anniversary and was really looking forward to the experience. We arrived on time and were greeted pleasantly, but after being seated, we were unfortunately overlooked. A couple seated after us was attended to right away, while we waited about 15-20 minutes without any acknowledgment--no server, no water, nothing. Given the situation, we decided to leave. The restaurant did call shortly after and offered to accommodate us if we returned, which I can appreciate. However, by that point the moment had passed. I also asked about future accommodations, and while they said they could do something, it didn't feel like the situation was fully taken seriously. I understand that things can happen, but for a special occasion, service like this is disappointing. Hoping they can improve their attentiveness moving forward. read more

1123 by Chef Tobias is a chef-focused restaurant offering an Asian and West African culinary experience. The menu was created by Chef Tobias, who was awarded Maryland Chef of the Year. There was an extensive amount of time dedicated to the design/vibe of the restaurant, innovative menu, and staffing. First and foremost, I am impressed by the amount of women empowerment established throughout the restaurant. Melissa, the General Manager ensures she touches every table to check in on the guest's experience. It is rare to see women in this position. I am also impressed by the black-owned brands they offer in the restaurant including Black Girl Magic Wine. I loved the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I enjoyed the music selection by DJ Pryme. I loved the Italian leather seats and the beautiful marble tables. You can tell there was a lot of time and attention spent on the restaurant's design. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The green curry branzino (my favorite), 1123 sushi roll, fresh local oysters, and the chicken fried double eggs are amazing. Chef Christian's sushi rolls are a must-try. I washed everything down with the refreshing hibiscus mule mocktail (Made with hibiscus tea, lime juice, and ginger beer). I will return to 1123 to try the lobster jollaf rice (a super innovative dish). I highly recommend visiting if you are looking for an upscale dining experience with great service. 1123 is metro accessible. There is street parking and garage parking available. What an awesome experience! This place was well worth the trip from TX. The only negative was waiting 15 past our reservation time to be seated along with food wait time but both waits were well worth it. The vibe is hip and the brunch crowd was grown and sexy! The food and drinks are what this spot is all about. Everything we ordered was banging from the drinks to appetizers to entrees! I see why chef Tobias is award winning! Ky-ana (I think was her name) was our great server! She checked on us often but was not overbearing. When 1123 opened, I was so excited being a fan of Chef Tobias and his flagship Huncho House. But, the food at the 1123 is just "meh" and pales in comparison to Huncho House. First, the decor is beautiful! I definitely see the Asian inspiration. Service itself was also good--notably so, as I visited during their soft opening. Food - We tried a variety of things: jollof rice, crab fries, curry branzino, lobster mac and cheese, and ribs. The star was the jollof rice. The grains were soft and a hint of sweetness; a taste I'm familiar with when it comes to jollof. The crab fries were also tasty. The fries had a perfect bite, and were soft inside. I wish the crab chunks were more sizeable. I didn't care for the curry branzino. The "curry" did not taste like curry; further, I was taken aback by the green color. Being from the Caribbean, I'm used to a more yellow/brown color with spice! Perhaps it's a matter of preference, but I didn't enjoy the flavor. The fish itself though was flaky and moist. I didn't try the macaroni, but my dining companions seemed to enjoy. The ribs were solid. Because it was a soft opening (September 2024), we weren't able to enjoy the full experience. 1123 was a great experience. It all started with a reservation call confirmation with Justin. He let me know that there was a 15 minute grace period and if didn't think I would make it to let them know. I explained that I was driving in from Baltimore and got out to a late start. He let me know that wasn't a problem and they would seat me when I arrived. I ended up arriving right at the 15 minute mark. We were seated right away but then opted to move to the bar. I always pregame so I knew what I was going to order. We started out with the chicken fried bacon and the chicken fried deviled eggs. While we waited for our appetizers we sipped on some delicious cocktails made by Mayo. The 1123 Punch goes down like cool-aid. The chicken batter is so freaking good. It's so well seasoned and lite. We ended up ordering the chicken and waffle, the Chesapeake and the plantain waffle. Everything was delicious and the portion size fit the cost. We ended up sitting at the bar and interacting with the staff from 12-4 pm!!! We had such a good time. The drinks were flowing and the environment was so comfortable. The zen like decor definitely set a mood. Chef Tobias has another hit on his hands. I wish him much success. We shall return. read more

This was our first time visiting 1123 by Tobias, and we were pleasantly surprised! From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere, the music selection, and the warm welcome. Our server was knowledgeable and guided us through the menu with ease. We started with the spicy wings, which were absolutely spectacular--perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. For dinner, I had the lamb chops with rice (cooked to perfection), while my husband enjoyed the General Zo shrimp dish, paired with a smoked tequila old-fashioned that was spot on. Because they use top shelf liquor, the drinks are expected to be on the pricier side. A highlight of the evening was getting to meet the owner and chef, Tobias, himself--a true honor and such a nice touch to the night. Birthday brunch. We arrived around 11:45 am on a Sunday and were seated right away. The decor reminds me of TAO NYC, Asian inspired. The food?!? Absolutely delicious and hefty portions. I had the grits w/ lobster and I'm not sure what they put in that sauce but it was so rich/robust . I think it needs to be bottled up and sold. I also had 1123 Huncho Fire roll which had the perfect blend of flavors and tasted fresh. Can't wait to go back for dinner. read more

Ambiance is top notch. The place is spacious with beautiful lighting, decorative art and wall murals. Very inviting. They offer you free champagne upon greeting you (which was very tasty and refreshing). We were late for our reservation but they were able to accommodate us at the bar and were Grateful for the accommodation. The food was delicious. Delicious. Disrespectfully delicious. We celebrated my husband's birthday at 1123, and let me be very clear: I am a HUGE fan of the chef, Tobias Dorzan. Like... trust-the-chef-with-my-life fan Everything we ordered showed off why. The charbroiled oysters disappeared immediately. The hand-cut crab fries were rude in the best way. Deviled eggs two ways (fried shrimp and bacon jam) proved that restraint is overrated. The braised oxtails with chuck rice and plantains were deep, rich, and soul-hugging, while the seared sea scallops over crab risotto were pure, unnecessary elegance. The sides refused to stay on the sidelines. Spicy broccolini, huncho mac & cheese, and crispy Brussels sprouts came in like main characters. And the cocktail... Laugh Now, Cry Never had me clutching my pearls and questioning my loyalty to every other bar Shakira did her big one with this recommendation after hearing my preferences. Delicious is the theme. Chef Dorzan understood the assignment and then rewrote it. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through the rest of this menu and impatiently wait for whatever brilliance comes next. Five stars. This whole experience was 10/10 for me! The ambiance, food, drink, music, service... everything was on point! We started with The Experience Old Fashioned to drink, which was made with mezcal and really good. The Chicken fried deviled egg appetizer was unique and delicious! The entire deviled egg was fried, which I've never seen before. Each egg half was topped with a piece of fried chicken, and the flavors all came together really nicely. I did the Churro waffle & Korean fried chicken for my entree and was not disappointed! The waffle was sweet and had those warm cinnamon and nutmeg spices. The chicken wings were kind of too big for my liking, but fried hard enough to be cooked really well. They were also very flavorful! Telphia, our server, was super attentive, friendly, and answered our questions about the menu. The dj/music created a fun little party atmosphere at each table but it wasn't loud enough to where people felt like they should get up and dance. Parking was easy as well, with street parking in the plaza or the garage. read more
