Headed back to GA and we came across this Filipino cafe on the outskirts of Philadelphia! Delicious! Plus we grabbed a few snacks for the rest of our journey! Mabuhay!!

Very warm and welcoming people. Found my go to spot for Filipino food and snacks! Moving here from California I didn't know they had a lovely place like this. Service was great and very helpful. Here's the rundown: 1. Hot food bar: Combo platters with various side and meat options: fried pork belly, longaniza (sweet breakfast sausage), tender beef, fried eggs, and more!). 2. Baked Filipino goods: just try them! 3. Snacks and condiments: various Filipino snacks (check out the pictures for my favorite snacks!) 4. If you haven't had Filipino food before, just be curious and anything you taste will be delicious and you won't regret it! So many lovely rich and savory flavors. I think of it as Asian soul food!

Came back to order an array of food for lunch. I tried a little bit of everything and it was all so good! The star of the show were the grilled pork bbq skewers. Reminded me of Japanese yakitori. The sauce had a nice sweet glaze and was grilled perfectly. The lumpia was outstanding and something you can never go wrong with. Pancit bihon was also delicious and had a nice amount of veggies/shrimp/pork. Chicken adobo is usually my favorite and it was still good, but this time it was lacking some flavor. The flavor just wasn't strong enough. Meat was still very tender and the sauce with rice is still a winner! Lechon kawali and Ginsiang monggo were two new items for me. I'm normally not the biggest pork belly fan but this was very tasty. If you ask for the darker burnt pieces, chances are you will not get the chewy fatty pieces. The mung bean porridge was good especially with rice, but I wouldn't order this again. Wasn't bad at all and very healthy with fish/veggies inside. Does not have a strong flavor and not spicy whatsoever. For dessert, we bought plantain lumpia and ube Mochi. Eat the lumpia while it's hot and fresh! Mochi I thought tasted better cold.

As always, Manila Cafe is superior when it comes to Filipino food in the area. Updating my review because I was today years old when I tried their notable Manila Cafe Signature Sisig. Now when you go to a turo turo Filipino spot like Manila Cafe, you may find yourself second guessing some dishes that are out being warmed. In this case it was the sisig. How can a sisig still taste good when left out for turo turo? Well let me tell you that there is a way, because Manila Cafe know how to do it! No the sisig was not sizzling nor was there a raw egg that you had to mix into it, but the flavors and textures of a proper sisig were there. The crunch from the cartilage to the crispiness of the pork/lechon and mild spiciness sealed the deal. Of course you can try to find fresh, sizzling sisig elsewhere, but for now Manila Cafe's sisig is where it's at. Happy eating, yall!

Lumpia and Lechon kawali with rice.

I recently discovered Filipino foods. There is good variety here. Also a grocery if you cook Filipino. We had Lumpia Shanghai. To start. Yum dipping sauce was great. Lechon Kawali was really good. Monggo wasn't as temperature hot just warm same with kare kare. The bbq pork and chick were great! Great prices good food quality and service was friendly and informative.

Longsilog with a side of Jeprocks. I can hear my mom's tsinilas against the kitchen floor.

My second time here and working my way to becoming a regular. The lovely Mrs. Arlene was helpful and apparently knew my father. Whenever I miss my folks I'm coming here.

Went twice this past weekend. Was staying in the area and glad I paid this little gem a visit. It's a mini grocery store with a steam table for turo-turo style which literally means point-point when ordering food. The place is clean and they had tons of food to choose from. The pancit is good and lumpiang Shanghai was 4 for a $1!!!! What?!?!? Should have tried the adobo for a trifecta! I ordered the laing and lechon kawali with pancit and I didn't love the laing as much. Lechon was good though. Got a halo2 to go with ube ice cream and it hit the spot. The 2nd time I came back I got the grilled pork and tokwa't baboy (tofu with pork) . All was tasty. They also have the Calamanso and dalandan juice/soda in a can that completed my meals will definitely come back when in the area.

Lechon, bbq chicken (inihaw na manok), chicken adobo, beef kaldereta

Wegmans was a very pleasant surprise during my stay in the area…read more Traveling in from out of state, I stopped in to grab a few groceries and quickly realized this was not a typical grocery store. The place is huge but very well laid out, and right when you walk in you are greeted by bold signage, bright colors, and a friendly customer service team that was happy to answer questions and help me find what I needed. This is the kind of place where you can grab dinner, groceries, flowers, and even prescriptions all in one stop, which is incredibly convenient when you are on the road. The ready-to-eat food section alone could be its own destination, with an upstairs seating area that makes it easy to eat and relax. The bakery was impressive with fresh breads and baked goods, and the meat and seafood departments stood out with a wide range of quality options. The flower shop added a nice pop of color, the aisle signage made navigation easy, and the elevated train running along the back of the store was a fun, nostalgic touch. Add in a full pharmacy, personal health section, and even some local sports swag, and this store truly has it all. Overall, it was an enjoyable shopping experience and one I would absolutely recommend.
