There are tables inside if you want to eat in, and the space is pleasantly quiet, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the food. The portions on the sandwiches are very filling, with large strips of juicy, great‑flavored chicken. The teriyaki sauce works perfectly with the slaw, and it has me excited to come back and try the other flavors. The spring rolls were crispy, packed with tasty vegetables, and came with a dipping sauce that tied everything together really well. The real reason to come, though, is for their dessert sandwiches. While visiting family in the area, we were looking for an interesting lunch spot and we definitely found it here. The sandos we tried were all interesting and well made, though rather pricey for an al a carte sandwich. A side of fries or rice would really round it out, because spending $60 on four sandwiches and an order of fries and still being hungry is frustrating. I've seen sandos in videos on tourism in Japan, so I was pretty excited to try this place stateside! The prices were a bit expensive, but it is a unique item that's unavailable otherwise to my knowledge. I'm sure the egg salad in Japan would be much better because they have better quality eggs, but this was alright. I think the pork katsu was probably the best, but the tuna was good too. The plaza is unassuming but inside is the cutest little sando shop. It seems like a small mom and pop and they could used some help. The service was slow but well worth the wait. For the first visit I didn't want to get too much. We got some sushi rolls and one of the chicken katsu sando. All delicious. The katsu was not at all spicy nor was the spicy tuna. Pretty good, but some stumbles Came here because I love Sando's. This place was relatively new, so why not let a newbie to NJ give them a try? Place is clean, little tricky to get to but what isn't tricky to get to around there? Ordered a Tamago sando, a beef katsu sando, some seared pepper tuna tataki, takoyaki, and potstickers. I got caught taking photos, so I was gifted some macaroons as well. Food came out pretty quickly, I took photos and brought it home to try. For me, I'm use to Tamago being presented as a solid omelette. This was more akin to an egg salad sandwich. With a soft boiled egg in the middle and avocado slices. Little unexpected, but not fully Easiest way to describe the dish is "Eastern dishes using western ingredients". The mayo was missing the umami and tangy flavors that kewpie mayo has, and was missing basic seasonings like salt and white pepper. So it was rich on rich with little reprieve and no complimentary flavors. It was prepped well, with quality ingredients. But was imbalanced. Same with the beef katsu. The cut of beef was a good cut of us beef. However, good cuts of beef in the us have lots of fat and gristle. By using such a high fat content cut, you don't get clean bites. Lots of the bites were very fatty and there was a lot of gristle. The flavors were good, and it was prepped well, but it was lacking. The best bite was the takoyaki. The smoked bonito flakes and bbq sauce assaulted the senses as soon as the cover came off. They were lightly crispy with a creamy interior. The octopus bits were tiny but overcooked, so it didn't detract much. That was a great bite. The black pepper tuna tataki was seared but very lightly seasoned. So not really black pepper tuna and more just seared tuna. Overall, it's well done but not what I would call authentic. I think they will need to experiment a bit, work on seasoning the Tamago and giving it a unique but tasty bite. My guess would be flake sea salt, msg, and some type of acid used very lightly (apple cider vinegar, rice wine vinegar, or lemon juice). The beef katsu, probably would mechanically tenderize a commercial cut of chuck or flank. Focus on flavor, then cut it thin or punch it full of holes. It's pretty good, but they are going to need some tweaks to make them great. Worth a try if you're in the mood for a sando read more

After seeing this place on social media, we wanted to give this place a try. The eatery is a small place that's really more of a minimalist cafe than a restaurant. The walls and floors are white, with the seating arrangement consisting of three white round tables with three white chairs at each of them. The ordering counter is located next to the tables as well. On the windows of the eatery are extremely cute decals of a drink, a girl sipping a drink, and small bears shooting hearts from their hands. Daughter really loved these! We ordered the following: Yellowtail tuna roll- daughter thought it was nice and fresh and delicious. Eel avocado onigiri- this was pretty good and we liked it a lot. Spicy tuna crab meat sando- daughter liked it a lot and thought it was delicious and that they did not skimp on the fish at all. She's salivating while thinking about it. This place is cute. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere. As I was driving I was wondering where I was and how I was getting to a Sando and Sushi spot. There were 3 of us for lunch and the space inside isn't so large. We were lucky to have grabbed a table. We all picked up menus and ordered at the counter. We took our seat and started looking around. The place is very clean, very cutely decorated. The food was really good and what I thought to be a very fair price. I was starving so I ended up getting a sandwich and a 3 roll combo. It came with soup! I had no idea. It was plenty of food, and I had promised that next time I would get a dessert because they looked so cute! I will return! I just don't know when I'm ever out that way. My brother was raving about finding this sando shop so I was super excited to try it. The strawberry sando was so good I ended up going back 2 days in a row for one! It's the perfect treat, not too sweet but still filling and delicious. I also met my dad and grandparents here for lunch and they all loved their orders. The pictures that the business post is misleading vs. what you get. After seeing the customer pics of the actual sandwich received, I should have made my husband walk away but we already ordered and I gave it a chance. If you've ever been to Japan, or had a real sando (a shop in Austin, TX is still the winner for me), then you know that shokupan (milk bread) is quintessential to the sando. Instead, used here is literally kings loaf bread, thin, weirdly toasted, and not the right flavor profile or texture for sando. Milk bread is not hard to get in NJ, especially in this area and frankly not hard to make from scratch. Ordered 4 - ate 1/4 of the strawberry and Chicken there before taking the others home as we needed to get home, a short ride away. Strawberry Chicken Steak/Beef Tamago (Egg mayo) Do NOT get the steak sando, I truly believe the meat was a day away from rancid. The picture posted by the establishment is NOT what you get, at all. One bite and it was spit out. The chicken sando and strawberry sando were the only ones passable if you've never had an authentic sando before. The egg mayo was okay, overfilled and oddly liquid probably due to the amount of mayo used. Presentation was very nice, i have to give them that - and the establishment itself was very clean along with the staff being very friendly. This place is great! We tried it on a whim and were surprised by how unique the menu was. We got the sashimi entrée, tuna tartare, and three sandos (mango, strawberry, and crab). The sashimi was very fresh, as was the tuna tartare. I'm not usually a fan of mango with raw fish, but it complemented the tartare well. The sandos were good, but one critique is that the mango in our sandwich wasn't fully ripe, so it was kind of hard to bite into. Also, the bread is just white bread. If they used a milk bread that's a little sweeter with the fruit sandos, I think it would be way better. I didn't try the crab sando, but the white bread probably works better on that. Was super excited to try this place because of raving reviews on Facebook, so we decided to stop in and try it out. We ordered 2 Chicken Katsu Sandos, and 1 Strawberry Sando to go. There weren't many people inside waiting so we figured it would be relatively quick. We didn't expect to wait 50+ minutes for three items, I understand they are pretty new but there did not seem to be much sense of urgency, organization, or communication between the team members. We saw a couple of orders get mixed up and handed off to the wrong people. They actually stopped accepting orders as more people came in wanting to order food.
