    Fish Katsu Sando
    Heather L.

Driving back home, super hungry and looking for a quick bite we can eat in the car. This place popped up after a quick yelp search so we figured sandwiches would be easy. Was pleasantly surprised, we had to wait a bit longer than we expected but the sandwiches were made to order and not just prepackaged like we thought they would be so that was a big plus. We ordered the egg salad sando, fish katsu sando and the strawberry sando all to share. All were freshly made with quality ingredients, out of the three the fish katsu stood out the most although I would order all three again. The fish was hot, crispy and lightly breaded. Store itself was on the smaller side with a few tables but was packed for a Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly, I would definitely come here again to try other sandos and items.

This place has not let me down on a good lunch. They have everything from sandwiches to bento to sushi to desert and boba. An amazing place to stop by for a beautiful bite. Also that I don't see common is their sushi are bite size which just makes every bite wholesome.

4.5 stars. I needed a place to sit and work for a little and totally forgot that I'd been wanting to try this place for a while. It's so close to where we live. It's clean, simple and cute inside. Service was great. And I really enjoyed the spicy tuna tartare and the tamago sando (egg salad sandwich). I love egg salad so this was what I was looking forward to, the bread was perfect with the egg salad. I'll def be back!

Pretty good, but some stumbles Came here because I love Sando's. This place was relatively new, so why not let a newbie to NJ give them a try? Place is clean, little tricky to get to but what isn't tricky to get to around there? Ordered a Tamago sando, a beef katsu sando, some seared pepper tuna tataki, takoyaki, and potstickers. I got caught taking photos, so I was gifted some macaroons as well. Food came out pretty quickly, I took photos and brought it home to try. For me, I'm use to Tamago being presented as a solid omelette. This was more akin to an egg salad sandwich. With a soft boiled egg in the middle and avocado slices. Little unexpected, but not fully Easiest way to describe the dish is "Eastern dishes using western ingredients". The mayo was missing the umami and tangy flavors that kewpie mayo has, and was missing basic seasonings like salt and white pepper. So it was rich on rich with little reprieve and no complimentary flavors. It was prepped well, with quality ingredients. But was imbalanced. Same with the beef katsu. The cut of beef was a good cut of us beef. However, good cuts of beef in the us have lots of fat and gristle. By using such a high fat content cut, you don't get clean bites. Lots of the bites were very fatty and there was a lot of gristle. The flavors were good, and it was prepped well, but it was lacking. The best bite was the takoyaki. The smoked bonito flakes and bbq sauce assaulted the senses as soon as the cover came off. They were lightly crispy with a creamy interior. The octopus bits were tiny but overcooked, so it didn't detract much. That was a great bite. The black pepper tuna tataki was seared but very lightly seasoned. So not really black pepper tuna and more just seared tuna. Overall, it's well done but not what I would call authentic. I think they will need to experiment a bit, work on seasoning the Tamago and giving it a unique but tasty bite. My guess would be flake sea salt, msg, and some type of acid used very lightly (apple cider vinegar, rice wine vinegar, or lemon juice). The beef katsu, probably would mechanically tenderize a commercial cut of chuck or flank. Focus on flavor, then cut it thin or punch it full of holes. It's pretty good, but they are going to need some tweaks to make them great. Worth a try if you're in the mood for a sando

Well... i was devastated when the only handmade udon shop in all of South Jersey closed at this location... Only to be pleasantly suprised to be accupied by a unique Japanese Sando Sushi Bento joint!!! Came here with the family last week and ordered over $120 worth of food to try and it was amazing and worth it... came back for lunch today so lets see how it goes...

This place is cute. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere. As I was driving I was wondering where I was and how I was getting to a Sando and Sushi spot. There were 3 of us for lunch and the space inside isn't so large. We were lucky to have grabbed a table. We all picked up menus and ordered at the counter. We took our seat and started looking around. The place is very clean, very cutely decorated. The food was really good and what I thought to be a very fair price. I was starving so I ended up getting a sandwich and a 3 roll combo. It came with soup! I had no idea. It was plenty of food, and I had promised that next time I would get a dessert because they looked so cute! I will return! I just don't know when I'm ever out that way. If you live near by please go for lunch! Keep this place running!

My brother was raving about finding this sando shop so I was super excited to try it. The strawberry sando was so good I ended up going back 2 days in a row for one! It's the perfect treat, not too sweet but still filling and delicious. I also met my dad and grandparents here for lunch and they all loved their orders. The chicken katsu sando and strawberry tea slush were their favorites. The shop looks unassuming from the outside but is bright clean and comfortable on the inside! I can't wait to go back for another lunch one day.

I was so excited to try this place! I've been seeing so many posts online about the cream filled dessert sandwich's and I've been dying to try one and it did not disappoint!!!! I had the mango fruits sando and it was so sweet and the bread is so soft it's the best thing I never knew I needed! I also tried the chicken katsu sando which was the perfect balance of crispy and tender and the sauce is incredible! I can't wait to try more of these!

This place is great! We tried it on a whim and were surprised by how unique the menu was. We got the sashimi entrée, tuna tartare, and three sandos (mango, strawberry, and crab). The sashimi was very fresh, as was the tuna tartare. I'm not usually a fan of mango with raw fish, but it complemented the tartare well. The sandos were good, but one critique is that the mango in our sandwich wasn't fully ripe, so it was kind of hard to bite into. Also, the bread is just white bread. If they used a milk bread that's a little sweeter with the fruit sandos, I think it would be way better. I didn't try the crab sando, but the white bread probably works better on that. Service is great and it's very clean inside.

I tried Mikan restaurant for the first time. Apparently, they opened last week. I got standard sushi rolls. 2 California rolls and 1 spicy tuna roll. I have to say, the price is amazing, the service is friendly and quick, and it's super close to home. I'll definitely be back again.

This place is new around the area and when I found out that they have sando, I knew I have to try it! It did not disappoint at all! The beef katsu sando tasted great! And the cabbage slaw with it was good too! I also ordered the Japanese fried rice with shrimp for my picky toddler and the strawberry sando, both were good too! I will definitely be back to try more sando and their sushi menu next time.

I am not sure if they have Japanese roots but everyone took the time to make our experience and food phenominal, which is a part of the Japanese culture. The actual fish quality and care in preparation with the little additions of yuzu and other spices on the individual pieces were amazing! It was like every piece was served as omakaze. Also, the chef served the highest quality and cuts of fish. This was a second visit for us. I usually do a review after two visits to judge a location and this place exceeded our first visit... I thought the first visit was a fluke because of how good it was. Now I believe they are actually this good.. The locals that live around here have a plethora of places to go to for sushi (we know because we have been to em all), but this place is the Gold Standard in our opinion. We live about 40 minutes away and made the trip here because of what I remember from our last visit. The ambience is cool with tons of pictures of private parties and fun times people have here. I deff want to have them cater a sushi party for us soon! We went here the first to try some place new by searching Yelp.... However, I saw them pop up on either my Instagram or Youtube feed a couple weeks ago. I know sometimes InstaTube places are a disappointment, but do not be affraid to try here and form your own opinion.

Enoki and egg soup is my favorite appetizer. Light broth with umami and perfect saltiness. My second favorite appetizer is agedashi tofu. So silky like pudding with light teriyaki broth. The sushi here is very special. The sushi rice is silky and moist. The fish piece is bigger than the rice. The eel is a must try here. It's very big compared to the rice underneath it. PRO: I will say, if you want a place where you can sit and have a conversation, dark mood lighting (especially forgiving if the last time you saw each other alot was 20 years ago! - LOL), Sagami is an excellent choice. PRO: They don't rush you out - take your time. It was a Thursday night, so not especially busy when we came at 6:30 PM. CON: I could not find an updated menu online - I'm one of those people who like to peruse a menu in advance. I started with a vegetable tempura appetizer ($10) - excellent, light, airy, tasty. My main was the dragon roll - very tasty. Service was quite nice. Appetizers came out almost immediately, the rolls took a lot longer to get to our table.
