I remember the original Manjay restaurant and this place in Doral is not like the original. The food wasn't seasoned well, didn't have that Haitian seasoning. Tasted more like a teriyaki sauce not jerk. Rice was missing flavor as well. The plantains were the best thing. I didn't even finish my food. Wouldn't recommend nor return here.

Come with me to Manjay, located in Doral. If you are looking for Caribbean flavor, reasonable prices, and delicious food, Manjay is the place for you. I've passed by its location for a while but never tried it until now, and I regret not trying it earlier. I tied a few of their options and have been thinking about them since. To start, we had Caribbean Conch Fritters and Tostones. The conch fritters come with a honey mustard remoulade that complements them perfectly, and the tostones are crisp and seasoned. We did the Build Your Bowl Option for our mains: one bowl with the Honey Jerk Chicken, Garlic-Roasted Sweet Corn, and Sweet Potato Fries, and the other with Jerk Shrimp, white rice, and Toofay. Every single component is delicious and flavorful; together, they were terrific. For dessert, we tried their Benyen, a banana beignet served with coconut creme glaze. This is a delicious and fluffy take on beignets. Overall, I loved Manjay. I will return soon to try their Express Combos and have some new favs again. The service was very kind and attentive.

Place was empty on a Thursday afternoon , food took forever. 2 male employees were speaking loudly with each other. One was in the customer seating area eating food he brought in from another restaurant. The other was slowly preparing my food. They had no cups. Lids yes no cups in supply. Food was nothing memorable or worth coming back for. I make better avocado salad at home. 1 star for food and pricing.

Order off of DoorDash and it was a very good portion, but they didn't give me the correct side. I ordered the corn and rice, but I just got the rice. The chicken was good. Some pieces felt chewy other than others, but I like the flavor and the crispiness

I was very disappointed in my meal. It was not what I expected at all. The workers were great and nice. The restaurant was pretty quiet and clean. This is supposed to be a Caribbean restaurant with Haitian food but that is not what is being served.

Took my mom to Manjay while she was visiting, and I have to say, I love the concept. Made-to-order food, generous portions, and enough leftovers to relive the meal at home. Big win there. We both built our own bowls. I went with griyo, red beans and rice, and brussels sprouts, while my mom had the honey jerk chicken, red beans and rice, and maduros. The bowls come with sauces, and here's the pro tip: don't skip them. The meats were fresh but on the bland side, so the mango scotch bonnet aioli was the real MVP. We even asked for extra sauce to go. All in all, I'd come back. The burger on their menu looks way too good not to try next.

This place was a pleasant surprise! I thought the hype was a lot, but they certainly back it up! From the moment you stepped in the place, the ambiance had island vibes and the staff was kind and ready to make your order. I had the jerk chicken with the boniato fries and rice and peas. I also had the conch fritters and a ginger and pineapple soda. The conch fritters were excellent and full of conch! The jerk chicken was made panko style and though that was unique and new to me, I really enjoyed it. I think it could've used more spice on the meat as I had my sauce on the side (I'm not a fan of sweet with meat). The sauces were good and the picklies was hot but it was sweet and spicy. I prefer spicy and savory. Overall 10/10 experience and I'll be back for sure! Check them out and enjoy!

What a great lunch deal! I had the daily special with red beans and rice, pork, and a heap of pikliz. It was generous portions and incredibly fresh flavors, and served quickly. This hidden gem is in a strip mall filled with several other eateries, and it stands out in a great way. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and offered recommendations as it was my first time visiting (and devotion not my last). I look forward to trying more of their dishes, especially the various sides that I don't always see at other Haitian restaurants.

My partner suggested we come here after seeing a review on Instagram about this restaurant. Upon arriving, we realized it's located in a plaza we've ate at before. There's plenty of options for parking and it's a short walk to the restaurant. Since we were STARVING and had barely ate that day we decided to get Akra as our appetizer and then build our own bowls with 2 proteins instead of just 1. I got the coconut curry shrimp with griot, rice&beans as my first side and tostones as my second. For sauce i asked for the griot sauce and herb aioli (for my cilantro lovers). My partner ordered the marinated steak with jerk chicken, rice&beans and brussel sprouts. We asked for the Pikliz on the side after the worker gave us a sample (it is spicy so be careful). Honestly, the shrimp was the only average item. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS MARVELOUS. The perfect texture of our appetizer, the rich flavors coming from the marinades, the right amount of crispiness for the tostones... i mean i really can't brag enough, it was amazing. Our food thankfully didn't take forever to come out and the staff was more than happy to offer us different samples and make sure we have everything we need even after the food came out. Next time, I want to try their dessert but I just didn't have room in my stomach. Overall, RUN DON'T WALK if you love good Caribbean food! Also, the pops of yellow inside were greatly appreciated as it's one of my favorite colors :)

one of my fave places to eat in Miami. it is one place I hope will be more mainstream in a couple of cities. the food is flavorful and full of Grandma's Haitian flavor and has a modern edge with color and service. the food is full of warmth and the service from the is impeccable. I have been to both locations in Miami. I have ordered via the webpage as well. when the food is ordered it is perfectly packed with the sauces in separate packaging. while in the restaurant, you can ask the staff any and every question and they will answer with knowledge plus a smile. I took a group of people that had never had Haitian food and they were very welcoming

Griot, djon djon rice and plantains

I recently went to Manjay because a friend of mine recommended it to me and it did not disappoint. This Caribbean fusion was absolutely delicious. I had the Griot which is a very well known Haitian dish. The pork was soft and tender. Most places I go that serve Griot don't have the pork as soft as this was. I was pleased to see they serve djon djon rice which is a black rice soaked with Haitian black mushroom. It was delicious and their plantains were so tasty. I ended up ordering a to go plate of creole chicken and rice and beans with corn. My kids loved the food as well. This is a nice and clean spot, great for lunch. As for service, you need to order first and then pick it up at the counter. So it isn't really a place where you have to wait for a waiter to bring you your food. I will definitely be going back. They have daily lunch specials so don't miss out.

AMAZING !! Food is great, favorable... service is amazing. . This food doesn't compare to any Caribbean food in Miami. MUST TRY !!

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.
