Respond to everything with "that's rad" 5. Charge 85 dollars for a haircut and beard trim and try to keep a straight face. To be fair the people were genuinely nice, the beer was cold & it was a solid Supercuts/Lemon Tree style trim. If that's worth 85 bucks to you then this is your spot. read more

Manly & Sons shows a severe lack of respect towards its clients and their time. I showed up for my appointment right on time and patiently waited for six minutes (without ever being acknowledged). It became clear that all three barbers in the shop were nowhere near finishing the haircuts they were doing so I finally told them they could cancel my appointment and that I was leaving. The three barbers looked at me as though I was crazy and then one of them flippantly said goodbye as I left the store. Time is our most valuable resource and I do not appreciate when my time is as blatantly disrespected as it was by the employees of Many & Sons. The employees gave off a vibe of being too cool to care about customer service. So if you're in the mood to soak up some Venice hipster vibes, receive some attitude, and have your time wasted then give them a try. When I arrived, the barber (tall, skinny dude who didn't have any customers at the moment) refused me service saying they close in 50 minutes and are no longer booking appointments. So I asked if they take walkins and he said they do, but he said he was too tired to do another hair cut. After trying to plea with them, the still refused. My hair cut would have taken 20 minutes at most. Don't ever come to a place where the barbers put themselves before customers. read more

Unfortunately I would not recommend this place for a haircut. I needed a haircut and did not want to travel to my normal barber. I did my research and all the ratings were very high for this place. There was a same day appointment so I took it. I explained my haircut over the phone and the person recommended a specific barber. I went with the recommendation. I arrive a little early for my appointment. The person before me was late to their appointment so it was a good 15 mins past my appointment before I got in the chair. I have an extremely simple parted cut but it seemed like it was not connecting with the barber and something he was not sure how to cut. The cut took 30 mins and at the end, was very poor. The sides are completely uneven, the top was essentially ignored. It seemed like he tried to follow the work my other barber did, but couldn't. Just a very poor experience and absolutely not worth the $60 and time. Seems like they may be best for a fade style haircut. Everyone has an off day but will not be going back and will need to go to my original barber to fix. read more

The tall dude at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming the second I walked in. My barber Judah faded me up nice and clean and he was super quick as well. Found this spot on Yelp and took a chance coming in as a walk-in. It's always kind of nerve wracking when you get a new stylist, and I was assigned Kelly. I couldn't have been luckier! Being an asian guy, it's tough to find someone who can work with my straight and challenging type of hair. However, I could tell right away she's had experience working with asian hair, and she's obsessive about symmetry and lines as I am. I've only been twice, both of which cuts i've been super happy with, but I'm committed from here on out. The place isn't very big, space for i believe 4 or 5 max, but the decor and vibe is laid back and inviting. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so just take that into account and show up 10-15 minutes early. I used to drive 45 minutes to my previous barber, but now super grateful I've found a better one just down the street. read more
