Bravo's is my new go to barber shop on the west side. I went in late on a Friday afternoon to get a cut before a party that night, and was greeted by the owner, Joe. I half expected him to be ticked off that I was showing up just before closing, but he was very friendly and accommodating and set me up immediately with one of his barbers Cisco, who was absolutely incredible. Cisco sat me down (there was zero wait) and asked me a lot of questions about what exactly I wanted from my hair cut. He was very detail oriented and gave me what felt like a VIP treatment, taking his time on every part of the cut and really making sure to get it right. The result was a cut that looks better than any I've ever had before. The vibe in the shop is cool, the guys are all personable and easy to talk to, and the extra $10-15 you spend vs. a Great Clips or Super Cuts hair cut is well worth the treatment and experience. read more

My boyfriend has been getting his haircut here for 3 years now. He tends to work a lot so his hair and beard grows long leaving him looking like an old stinky ape. My boyfriend comes here and Louie must be a magician because he transforms him and gives him a great haircut and my boyfriend leaves looking great. It's like I'm dating two guys. One hairy ugly one and one sexy hunk once he leaves bravos barbershop. He also does a great job on my 5 year olds haircuts. He does a great job on both of them that We followed them to their new location read more

I have been coming to Bravos for over 20 years. Joe (the owner) has been cutting hair for over 40 years. He's always there, does a great job. Never a complaint. Easy to talk with. One of the best Barbers shops in Playa Vista (if not the best). I will always come here. He has hair supplies as well for all types of hair. I highly recommend Bravos. Come and get a haircut and get styled. read more

25 dollars hair cut for a 1 year old is pretty pricey. Not only that, one barber told me 20 dollars but the owner said 25. I paid and walked out, yup I was nice enough to give a 5 dollars tip. read more

First cut back since Covid started. Good to be back. Follows all health guidelines and great attention to detail on my cut. Thanks guys!

First Off! Most of these reviews for Bravo's Barbershop are inaccurate. There is absolutely NO WAY this place is rated higher than 2 or 3 stars. I have been going here ever since the 1990s. Joe is indeed a hard working business owner which is THE ONLY REASON this barbershop still exists. The employee guy that works for Joe Bravo named Louie, he gives a fair haircut but I wouldn't call it amazing. Louie has cut my hair a few times, but you should watch them closely, they do (more talking than cutting). Last time he did my hair Louie used the wrong clip and my hair was more like a buzzcut he still charged me $33 for his mistake. I recommend the other guy, forgot his name young fellow, he shows up earlier than Louie and is ready for business just like Joe. Don't be surprised if you walk-in and are turned away because you did not schedule an appointment first. (Walk-Ins) are the very reason people came to Joe Bravo. There are lots of Old School Originals' in the neighborhood still. Now I understand why Bravo's is closed on Monday's, and why we are now required to schedule an appointment. Because there are empty seats in this barbershop, and it's quite slow. Joe if you're reading this, you're losing money by no longer taking walk-ins. What ever happened to Joe? We barely ever see him. Why not take walk-ins and appointments? As far a waiting times: there are not many people coming in during their odd days and hours. There are times I went in for a haircut and I found a "Be right back sign" and had to wait for them to re-open later in the day, or I would have to come back again wasting my gas to drive there, plus it's difficult to find parking. The business next door takes up most of the parking by its customers. As for Costs: You won't find any price list on the wall. They just tell you the prices for services. A simple haircut will now cost $30.00, this price increased $5 in just one year. For beard trimming the price costs more. By the time they are finished you're looking at around $45-50 not including the tip and the $2-3 extra charge for using a credit card. Bravo's Barbershop used to be the hang-out place when it was near Inglewood, but now it's just another high priced barbershop. Luckily there are other barbers pricing a decent haircut for $15-20 in the same area. If you want to go here that's fine, I'm just writing about my personal experience at this barbershop, which is more relevant coming from an actual long-time customer. Yelp shows By Appointment Only as No, this is inaccurate. No walk-ins. You now need to make an appointment through an App and still may be charged for missing your appointment. This was told to me by barber Louie. read more

Moved up to this area last Fall and have been getting my haircut here since. Awesome atmosphere. Definitely has that great barbershop feel if that's your thing (as it is mine). Every barber there is extremely knowledgeable and couldn't be more friendly. For example, almost everytime I have been, a customer has had their kids with them and the owners think of them too. They have toys in the waiting area to keep them entertained while their parents are getting cut, the owners will talk to them and basically treat them as if they were their own kids. Been getting cut by Fili Valdovinos. Dude is so cool. Listens to what you want, asks questions before making any cuts to make sure it's done the way the customer wants. Very knowledgeable and down to Earth. Always talking sports and just life as if you've known each other forever. And from hearing the other barbers with their customers at the time I'm there, they're all the same way as well. From my experience walk-ins are excepted as I did this my first few times here. Then my barber Fili gave me his card and I've set an appointment the next few. So far he's always been there waiting right at my appointment time, so it seems no over/double-booking and waiting when you make an appointment. Parking can be a bit difficult. They are located in a small plaza where the diner next door takes up most of the parking with their customers. But if you avoid the peak times for the diner you should be OK. Everytime it has been full I just go down the street that is directly behind the shop and park on the street near the apartment neighborhoods. Maybe a 5min walk at the most when doing this, so not that bad. I highly recommend this barbershop if you're looking for a great cut and atmosphere for a great price. Definitely won't be going anywhere else for as long as I live in the area. read more

I've been looking for a barber close to my home to go to regularly. After several failed attempts with Comb Correct, who completely missed my appointment AND failed to follow up for a reschedule, I expanded my search radius and found Bravo's. They were extremely professional, friendly and welcoming. I got my first cut from Joe Bravo himself who has been a barber for 45 years. They just moved to this location a year ago and have been building their clientele and I'm happy to be a new member of it! I got a great, quick and reasonably priced cut from Joe and will definitely be returning. read more

My roommate referred me to Louie for a haircut 2 years ago and I haven't had anyone else touch my hair since. He's a master of his craft and a great dude. In general, Bravo's has a great sense of community and the owner, Joe, is not only one of the most friendly dudes around, but he's the pulse of the laid back vibe that the shop carries. Louie works around your schedule as best he can. He takes walk ins Tues-Thurs and does appointments on Fridays and Saturdays. He usually cuts my hair for $26 and it's worth triple that to me. Would highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a great men's haircut. read more

My son Max has been coming here for years. His hair style has always garnished much attention and compliments. So much that he prompted me to come see Louie and get a new style as I had the same look for too long. Well first let me say that I love that this place is old school. Much attention to preparation that lacks in todays salons. The style I decided on was the executive contour a modern classic. Let me finish simply by stating this place is fantastic and beyond friendly. Simply put I my dig my new look. Change is good! Big thanks to Louie! read more

Bravo's barber shop is highly recommended! I've been coming to Bravos ever since I found Louie. Louie is great and up to date with trends in hair that actually date back to around 1920's. My second time here. Friendly guy and gave me a good hair cut. Nice clean space and didn't have to wait too long. . Will come back again.

Had a haircut with Joe himself. Pretty unorganized and dirty place. Came as a walk in, showed him a picture of approximately what I want but of course he said your hair is not like theirs so don't show me pics. Seats me on a seat where it's so low and There's a paper covering my head so I'm unable to see what he's doing to my hair. Only to realize that he's already cut the sides wayyyy too high compared to what I had told him. He claims that the "final look" is the best look. Still fucks up my sides by not making it symmetrical and doesn't take any blame for it. After all this I pay a $30 for a complete trash of a haircut filled with mistakes and a look that he wants me to have not one I asked for. I believe they pay people to write reviews for them because this can not be more than 2-3 stars in everything. In other words, absolute trash. read more

Freshest and trendiest cuts or a classic simple cut done with ease, But one thing for sure you will not leave unappreciated as all the barbers make it a point to engage in conversation with their clients. There is nothing like a genuine human connection and a fresh cut . Go ask for Fili and watch him work his magic !!! But in all honesty all the barber's are amazing . The owner Joe has been in service almost 45 years and is amazing with people and would not allow anything but the best to work for him!!! read more

Oops. Not cool, 'bros.' Made an appointment online for a first haircut w Louie. Rearranged my morning so I could get there on time. Get there 10 minutes early to find another waiting customer ranting loudly about sports and guns and politics and women (F#*% this, bro. F#*% that, bro...). A second before my appointment, an older guy walks in. Louis makes a funny face and says to me, "Hey bro. You pressed for time? This guy's running late and I gotta get him in." No problem at all, bro. But not gonna get my business either. read more
