MANNA HEAVEN BBQ @ CONVOY Parking is available in two different lots since this Korean BBQ spot is right on the edge of the main driving area, you'll have to choose one or the other. I'd recommend parking near Ole BBQ or closer to the UTC area because that lot is much easier to navigate. There's also free street parking, which is a plus. This place doesn't take reservations or allow you to join the waitlist over the phone, so you'll need to go in person to put your name down. They'll text you when your table is ready, so you can walk around while you wait. My party of six waited about 45 minutes, but it honestly went by faster than expected. Once seated, they have a newer system where you order your meats and sides through a tablet, which made things super convenient. The service was solid, staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to clear empty plates. The quality of the meat was really good. I highly recommend the beef belly, and the corn cheese was a standout for me--I had like three plates of it because it was that good. Our group had a great time overall. Good korean bbq for a great price! Both menu options are under $40. We chose option A2 because we didn't need the rib eye, rib finger meat, pork bowl or tongue for option A1. We ordered mostly brisket, beef belly and la galbi. The banchan sides were plentiful and what I like about this place is it had the lettuce wraps, rice papers and radish wraps. Usually you will find 1 or 2 of these options only. Also they give you a tv tray on the side of the table so that you have more space for dishes and other things. The best part about it is the complimentary self serve ice cream freezer for dessert. Service was good and the waitress was attentative as well as the other staff members when changing out the grill. On the positive side, they were one of the KBBQ spots that didn't have long wait times, even with how crowded it was. There are only two stalls in the women's bathroom in such a big, crowded restaurant. But thankfully, I was able to go right away without getting stuck in a long line. The food was pretty good. I had to come here to redeem myself because the previous day I went to another Korean barbecue place across the street and it was not the greatest! Manna has always been consistent which is why I like this place. The service is always great. Everyone is always attentive and friendly. The place is super clean! Decided on this spot for Father's Day. Surprisingly the wait was not bad at all. I do love that they had self serve ice cream while you wait for your table. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the mediocre service. The waitress seemed to be rushing us to order. She didn't even explain how things work. We had to ask her if we could start with drinks first. Number 5 on the premium menu says 1 per person I went with a friend and we both paid for the premium when we both tried to get a number 5 witch is the steak the waiter told us it's 1 per group of 2. That dose not make any sense. If we both are paying the premium price we should both be able to get one each . I did not complain or argue just won't be back. They also cram so many tables into this restaurant there has to be a violation. You can't push your chair out unless the table next to you pushes there's in. I was in San Diego for a little over 24 hours and had to choose 2 places to eat, and I chose to get bento boxes from Manna BBQ (bento boxes are to-go only I believe). I got one chicken bulgogi bento and one teriyaki beef belly bento. And I do not regret my decision in the slightest. The bento boxes here are probably one of the best deals I've ever seen, especially in 2026. I paid less than $20 (each) for a filling and delicious meal that lasted me 2 meals total. The flavors are amazing, and the portion sizes are incredible. Everything included was delicious. The pickled radish, the kimchi, the meat, the rice, the glass noodles, and especially the sauces! I know they were scared when they say me coming in. Because my plan was to eat the entire restaurant and oh boy did I! It was a long line and we waited about 45 minutes to get a table. But it was worth it. We got seated in the back corner. Tables are pretty close to each other. The place is loud so you might pick up someone's convo but you'll have some privacy. Everyone at the table has to agree to the same menu. There are two options. The premium option and the regular option. We went with the premium which has a few more meats and fish items available. Everyone pays the same price regardless of how much they eat. It was just two people and it was busy so to ensure we always had something on the grill we ordered 3-4 things at once. Which I would suggest and then scale it up if there's more in your party. We ordered maybe 16 items from the menu over the course of 2 hours. They said it's a 2 hour limit. Not sure how enforced it is. Because the menu consist of about 50 items, I suggest making a game plan ahead of time to make sure you're getting different types of meats and items. On your way out. There is ice cream that you scoop on your own for a tasty treat. That's self served. If you want the macarons you have to ask the host / hostess for support. Parking is in the back. Decided to come on a Weds night, which is nicer & easier to land for parking/waitlist on Convoy - IYKYK. Was a little bit less busy, but was certainly popping off when we left. Food: The meat is solid--brisket and pork belly are my go-tos here. I love to eat by wrapping the meat with garlic, jalapeño, and salad/lettuce. I really like most of the sides that are already at the table when you sit down, and they're pretty tasty. The corn cheese is a whole dish and is decent too. The corn cheese here also seems to have peas and carrots as well in comparison to other kbbq spots. The soondubu is just okay, not anything special. The egg dish was kind of watery and not my favorite. One fun bonus is the free self-serve ice cream with vanilla, green tea, and chocolate options, which is always a nice way to end the meal. Service: You place your first order with the server and then use a tablet to keep ordering, which is convenient. That said, the service can be a bit slow, especially when it's packed, so you might need to flag someone down or remind them about an order. The meat selection was good they had a lot of the popular options like bulgogi, pork belly, and brisket then they also had flat iron steak (pictured) included in the cheaper AYCE option. I like how they have the green onion salad and rice paper here too! Service was meh. Our server hardly checked in on us, kind of understandable given that orders are placed through a tablet on the table but even when we pressed the call server button on the tablet we waited 10+ min and no one came so we ended up having to flag someone down as they were passing by. Went on a weeknight and was seated immediately. They've slightly changed their menu recently to include tortillas and Jalepeno which is different, but good! Service was very quick, but also very rude. These people don't play! The server was not very receptive to our questions or orders not on the iPad. The wait was a little long for a party of 2 on a Sunday, and the parking lot for this plaza is always super hard to navigate (on behalf of the 5-6 other stores in that area). Sometimes orders would be lost in the system (or wouldn't come until super late) and it was kind of hard to find a server even though we were sat right by the checkout desk. I wouldn't recommend the steak because it's especially hard to cook (especially with the butter and rosemary on the grill), but I especially enjoyed their brisket, galbi, and baby octopus. But I will say that the servers are really nice and do keep an eye out for you-- the table next to us picked the deluxe menu and ended up not ordering anything from it, so the server switched them back to the basic menu upon reviewing the check. For its price and AYCE menu, I'd come back again, though if I'm looking for something for quality over quantity this wouldn't be your best choice. We drove down to SD from South OC to spend the day for our anniversary. We wanted to go to an all you can eat place, and saw that this spot had a ton of great reviews. Upon arriving, the parking was limited and it took us a while to actually get a spot. We walked in and joined the waitlist. There was a sign that said there would not be any confirmation text sent, only a text stating that the table would be ready. We waited for over 30 minutes when we finally realized that people that came in after us were gettings seated before we even got a text. We finally walked up to the hostess and she said that she had just texted us. I still did not get any text stating that our table was ready. We sat down and ordered some meats to start off. It came out pretty quickly and we started grilling. After we were already cooking, I noticed that the grills were pretty dirty. There was still sauce and burnt edges all around our grill. They had some tables that had ipads to order on, but we did not, so all our orders relied on the server coming in and checking on us. We opted in for the premium menu and it was about $7 more. I think it was worth the upgrade, since you do have the option to get beef tongue, and other premium meats. I think the meat quality was decent for the price. I think what we did not enjoy was that we just wanted to try different meats but when they brought the plates out, there were 2 huge pieces of meat that was just overwhelming and we felt like we had to eat it before getting charged for leftovers. Toward the end of our meal, we asked to order a few sides since we had flavor fatigue. We asked for cheese corn like 3 times and the server kept saying ok ok and giving us attitude. Between each ask, we saw she was bringing out a cart with other tables cheese corn. She just kept saying "we serve when it's ready." Finally, the last time, I asked about the corn, she looked at the order ticket and said they marked that we already got it... like we obviously haven't since we have asked so many times. Overall, I think that there are better spots where you most likely won't have to deal with the poor service and have the same meat quality and options. Manna is my favorite KBBQ in San Diego. I have tried a lot of others and we always come back here. This location is my second favorite Manna as it is centrally located. I often meet coworkers and friends here. My favorite Manna is in Chula Vista but that will be on a different review. We always order the standard menu as all of our favorites are here and we don't need to spend the extra on premium. What makes Manna stand out is their service. Once the staff checks you in they activate the table on the table which makes ordering a breeze. Competitors might have a bell but nothing beats instant ordering. The sides are good here as well. I love that the corn cheese comes out already cooked unlike some places that give you an uncooked tin that takes forever to cook. We hit the beef belly and dumpling here hard. I also like that their is a fried rice option instead of white rice if you prefer. This location can be busy but its quite large inside. I took off one star as the parking lot is a paid lot and there is not a lot of free parking availability on the street. read more

High quality ayce meat at reasonable prices! The normal menu is $30, and the premium is $35. I would recommend the premium as it's not that much more expensive, and it comes with the goutsal short rib fillet and beef tongue, which were my two favorites. The goutsal had great marbling, and the beef tongue texture is delicious. One thing to note is that their meat portions are huge, especially for the pork belly, so be careful not to over order! I also love that they have all the standard sides and banchan, like kimchi, japchae, and rice paper. However something that I don't always see is the raw garlic and green onion salad, which complemented the meat so well. I would also recommend asking for sesame oil and adding it to your salt for dipping the meat! The wait was around 45 minutes for a party of 4 on a 7pm on Friday.
