It was late and most restaurants around the area were closed especially on weekdays. This one of the few restaurants that is open late. We were the only ones there with just one other table. It was our first time here so we decided to try a couple of dishes. The soft tofu stew, kimchi soup, pork rib, and corn cheese were delicious. The pork jowl, bossam, and chicken gizzards just ok. Our bill came out to approximately $200 excluding tip. I thought it was a little on the pricey side. Our waitress was very friendly but we could only get in touch with her by pressing the attendant call button. The only downside was that there was no AC there. I eye this place every time I go to Ten Seconds. I finally decided to DoorDash it one day when I was really craving ddukbokki. I got it with ramen, and I really enjoyed it. Flavor was good, the rice cakes and ramen soaked up the flavor very well. I just wish there was more protein lol. But the portion size for the price on DoorDash was not bad at all ($22). It was big enough for 2 meals. It also came piping hot! I want to go in person next time to check out the vibes of the inside as well as try some of their other options. read more

First up, the fried potato balls with cheese -- the cheese was warm and perfectly stringy when you pull them apart, exactly what you want. Then came the katsu, fried to perfection with a salty tonkatsu sauce that complemented it beautifully. And then the fried chicken. Oh, the fried chicken. Around 9 pm at night, there's hardly any parking. Good luck finding a spot in the lot! You'd have more luck in the street. As fans of late night Korean pubs, we were ecstatic to come by Thang Thang for a late night meal and drinks. Upon walking in, it was hardly Korean. The music was a mix of American Pop, which didn't correlate to the kpop music videos on the screen. It took us a while to get seated and the young servers didn't seem to care. They casually seated us and left. They have buzzers here at the table to call for help when needed. The menus are also on a QR code. We ordered quite a few items: bossam, cheese corn, a lychee yogurt cocktail, kimchi fried rice, and steamed egg. Their bossam is okay and isn't the best. Their cheese corn is not for people who are lactose intolerant because it's heavily cheesy. My favorite was probably their steamed egg which was big and fluffy. The shop itself was stuffy and the AC wasn't on even though we were there on a hot night. Their food isn't fantastic, but the prices are inexpensive for street food/late night food. Always wanted to try this place so very happy I got to come here after the movies! There's not a lot of late night spots in San Diego, let alone with good food and this spot definitely has great food! It definitely has a pocha feel with the dimly lit tables and music bumpin' in the background, as you eat. As late night diners, the ambiance definitely checked out for us. As for the food, we ordered the chicken gizzards and the chicken wings. The chicken gizzards definitely stood out. The dish was flavorful with the right amount kick and texture. For anyone who loves chicken gizzards, they definitely do it right, here. The only thing that could've used a bit of work was the chicken wings. Came here tonight for takeout since it's one of the few spots open late. My boyfriend went in to place the order while I waited in the car. Within just five minutes, a group of drunk customers, started banging on our car, messing with our side mirror and even harassing my dog by barking at him. Inside wasn't any better. My boyfriend tried to get inside but there was a crowd blocking the front door. At the center was a worker chatting with her friends. This made it hard for other customers to enter. Later waiting to pay the waitress walked around greeting her friends with his credit card still in her hand, then sat down with them to take shots. Totally unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're cool with that kind of vibe. I met a friend and we shared a lychee soju, small army stew (filling spicy soup filled with lots of random bits of meat, veggies and noodles), fried drumsticks and spicy bbq pork ribs. This place is exactly what we were wanting after a long day with the craving of warm Korean food late at night. Packing lot is a bit small but there's street parking. When you are seated you order off the screen at the table. Select everything you want then send in the order. You can use it to also call a waiter over or Ali for the bill. It's perfect for people with anxiety of ordering. The food came out fairly fast and man it was all pipping hot. Everything was what we were drooling and dreaming for. Kimchi pancake was huge and so filling. The Gyoza Mandu were so tasty I would've gotten 2 orders; delicious and salty dipping sauce. My ramen was very hot and flavorful. But tonight 6/30 11:30pm some guy waiter said we can only pick two tables out of the whole restaurant that was empty he had only two tables. When asked why he said because he doesn't want to walk across the restaurant (which is small btw) to accommodate us! He said it would mess up his flow! We were there after Thanksgiving ,November 28th,for a big party of 23 for dinner. We love the food and the ambiance, it's a cool place. Though,they're short staffed, the young man who welcomed and seated us was the same person serving us all for two tables. His name is Vinie and I commend him for his customer service skills and able to composed under pressure . While serving us , he was also serving other tables. The place was pretty busy that night for two servers only. The lady server was somewhat poor in communication. I was craving some Korean food pretty late in the evening and found this place was opened til 1:30am so I dragged my friend there to try it out with me. When we arrived, the waitress barely acknowledged us and we stood awkwardly at the door until she waved at a table in the middle back of the restaurant. The restaurant wasn't that crowded so we were both a bit surprised by the waitress being upset and short with us. It took a few minutes before she brought us some menus and water and after we ordered, we decided to draw a bit on the blackboards that cover the walls surrounding our seat. We had ordered their dduboki, sweet chili drumsticks, and pork katsu as well as a regular lychee soju cocktail and when everything arrived, we were pleasantly pleased with the large quantities. However, we did notice that we were given a large cocktail instead of a regular and every time I tried to get the waitress's attention, I was ignored several times so we ended up keeping the large drink. Thoughts on the food: Dduboki: The classic Dduboki is hard to mess up and while it's typically a very cheap dish to make, the $15 price point made me think it was going to be something special. However, we live in SoCal so that's just wishful thinking. Overall, it still tasted good. 7.5/10 Sweet chili drumsticks: Once of my favorite dishes to order at Korean restaurants are their fried chicken. I don't know what magic they add to their chicken but god damn they tasted fantastic! The perfectly crispy skin slathered with the sweet yet spicy sauce made for a delicious meal. 9.2/10 Pork Katsu: This dish was leaning toward the drier side, flavor was good but I wasn't a fan of how thin the pork was compared to the crust. 5/10 Lychee soju cocktail: A tasty cocktail that made the night more fun, the large was made for sharing and luckily I enjoying it alone. 8/10 read more

Coming from a first-timer, this place did us a solid! Centrally located restaurant by Convoy and ample parking in the little strip mall parking lot or on the street. We ended up here on New Year's Eve after looking to see what places were open, and we were not disappointed! We had ordered the bulgogi quesadilla which was delicious the bulgogi was very well marinated and flavorful it also comes with sour cream, guac and tomatoes. However, I can imagine this place being busy during the night and weekends. This is a great hidden spot off engineer road. I was excited to come back here for a friend's birthday because I don't recall the last time I was here. Gee... it must've been at least 7 years ago. However, this place is now quite a disappointment. The only items that were good was the Corn Cheese and Bossam. Everything else was not good... and I was starving! So I would've been easily pleased as long as I was fed. Seems to not be the case if you're dining here. The fried chicken was not crispy whatsoever. I was expecting the skin to be crispy, as the skin of most fried chicken are, but this wasn't. The Chicken Gizzards were okay. Pineapple Soju was neat. The Bulgogi Quesadilla was whatever. We stopped by Thang Thang because we were craving some Korean soup for dinner. There's many Korean soup places along Convoy but we decided to go to Thang Thang because they're open late. The interior is night club/bar vibes but very clean. You can easily order on the tablet on the table and won't need to flag down a server. The servers were still quick to refill water when you needed. We ordered the Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew) because it came in a big pot and was easy to share between two people, as well as deep fried chicken gizzards. The soup was delicious and had plenty of stuff inside of it. It definitely hit the soup cravings. The deep fried gizzards were also good and served with a sweet chili sauce on the side. It's a great side to snack and munch on if you're a fan of chicken gizzards. We saw the high reviews and hesitantly tried it just bc we were looking for some home style korean food without a long wait. There wasn't a wait here and now we may know why. The food is sub par. It was overdone hard to chew. The sweet and sour pork was unlike any Korean version of it nor Chinese version lol idk what it was. Hardly edible and hardly any meat. The sides panchans were seriously lacking and just not great. On top of that our rice wasn't cooked when they gave it to us. Really felt bad telling the waitress this. She 1st tried to defend it but the nice waitress came and looked and we dug into the rice and she saw it wasn't cooked at all! She got rid of them and gave us more and that was cooked. So odd! I would say their food was average (maybe below average compared to other K restaurants around San Diego). Any college students could probably make a better Ramen than this. Service was okay, nothing special. The only good thing about the place was it was clean and cozy.
