I have been here a few times and enjoyed it. It's very nostalgic for me as it reminds me of the Chinese food I grew up eating. The wontons with the plum sauce and Chinese mustard, the wonton and egg drop soups, the mushu, the fried shrimp, kung pao chicken all taste exactly like dishes I had when I was younger. It's such comfort food for me and it transports me to another place and time. The staff is helpful and accommodating. They answer my questions throughly and patiently. I occasionally have to ask for a water refill but they are prompt when I do. I've gotten different items every visit and I can't wait to work my way through the menu. I have mixed feelings. After having come to Panda Garden pretty regularly for many months, enjoying the food and the friendly staff, I have started to be disappointed. I typically order a large Hot & Sour Soup so I can have a couple of small bowls as an appetizer before my entree, planning to take the rest home. But what they've been doing recently is instead of filling up the 32 oz. plastic container at my table, they are taking the bowl back to the kitchen and only filling up the container half-way. I don't know if they're pouring the rest back into their main soup pot to serve it to the next customer, but it's not fair to me that I'm not getting what I paid for. This has now happened three times, and I likely won't be returning, despite how good the food is. read more

It's been 2 years since I first tried this restaurant and they gained a star since my last review. The hot tea was nice on the cold night we had dinner. The salt and pepper wings are why I came back and they did not disappoint! Crunchy outside and juicy inside . I got the happy family again too which I like because it has beef, shrimp, and chicken. Tried the crystal shrimp and scallops which was light and delicious. I love snow peas and both entrees came with them. Also got pork egg foo young to go which was really good too! The gravy has tons of stuff in it and the patties were perfect. Our server was really nice and it was almost full in the restaurant when we came. I will come back for the wings again! read more

This is my first time placing a pick up order from here. Food and pictures look delicious however the process of online orders and waiting there is a disappointment. First, there was a line of waiting customers outside to be seated and no one to have them seated. You lost, about 15 customers. My order showed 25-30 minutes should be available via email. Why are we still waiting and its almost an hour? Came in give or take shy of 30 minutes and waited. Still nothing, I get it, its busy but no acknowledgement or apology for an estimated time while telling customers it should take 25 to 30 minutes. We only ordered 3 dishes. Have more staff and provide a better customer experience. If you are going to have an automated email suggesting a time it is ready be picked up then meet your deadline or communicate with the customer that there was a mess up with online orders and it is delayed. This was such a major inconvenience and we are still currently waiting as we speak. Terrible all around. read more

I've only tried the veggie egg rolls, veggie fried rice, and green beans here, but based on those alone, I was not very impressed with this place. I had hoped to try a tofu based dish at some point later when we were more hungry, but I'm not even sure I will come back because of how bland these other dishes were. We needed good Chinese food and a friend recommended this place. We ordered a bunch of things- fried chicken wings, combo soft low mein, general tsao chicken, and the happy family. The combo soft low mein was awesome, plentiful and has a lot of meat. Everything else was a tad bit salty. The general tsao chicken was too crunchy and the chicken pieces weren't big enough, mostly battered. The happy house was plentiful but again, pretty salty. Went later (7:45 pm) on a Sunday. Lady at the front quickly seated us (4 people) at a nice large booth. Place very clean and she quickly took our drink orders. We ordered egg drop soup, egg rolls, barbeque ribs, combination fried rice, Mongolian beef, chicken Lo Mein & broccoli chicken. Our waitstaff lady was super efficient ' the food came out quickly. Everything was well-prepared, hot & tasty. We had plenty of leftovers and looking forward to eating them. Would definitely go back again. read more

Went here for the first time with some coworkers for lunch: it's a good time to go for their lunch specials. They have about 27 items to choose from under $10 with rice, soup and an egg roll. I decided to order the House Family: it was a mix of chicken, beef, (I think pork?) and vegetables. It was pretty good but it was doused in sauce which is not my preference but it was tolerable. The old lady knew regular customers and was kind to new ones like me. Their service was fast and they were attentive. I love this restaurant we go here all the time. They have great food very fresh and healthy. I always try to eat at restaurants that have a good amount of vegetables and options for me. This day I posted pictures of a takeout lunch order that we got and brought home. their lunch portion is very good and very wellcooked especially the vegetables .Their vegetable dishes are cooked very nicely. Some restaurants undercooked their vegetables. They do not at this restaurant. They have very delicious egg foo young I highly recommend it shrimp dishes also really good. I do like eating inside. This is currently our family's Chinese of choice. They have consistent, predictable food, friendly staff, they're quick, and we always have leftovers to bring home (I'm a tragic over-orderer, but I love variety). My favorite dishes are actually their vegetable dishes, like bok choy or eggplant. I will say they don't go too spicy, which is a small minus for me, but it saves my children so I can't really complain. Solid for north county. read more

I'm confused by the number of positive reviews. Food was cooked well but flavor was subpar. The General Tso's chicken had basically no flavor and tasted like soy sauce - no heat or sweetness whatsoever. Fried rice had no vegetables at all. Again basically no flavor other than soy sauce. Edit - as noted in the reply it was egg fried rice. Ordering with a protein in fried rice in my experience does not generally imply a lack of vegetables. I guess here it does. If I had paid the same amount for a turkey sandwich, I'd expect it to have more than turkey and bread. Just my opinion. read more
