This was my first visit to this location. The ambience in the restaurant and bar area are exquisite. The food was incredible. We started with the cauliflower croquettes and some bread service. Both very delicious. I had the risotto with filet. Absolutely outstanding. We finished off with a couple of desserts. Our server mentioned that they were newer to the restaurant so they hadn't tried a few dishes, but was still quite helpful. 8/23/25 My husband and I went to Manna with his dad and family. We started with drinks at the bar and the bartender was very accommodating and friendly. I had the sangria and it was absolutely delicious. For food we ordered the fried calamari, short rib ravioli, and charred Caesar salad. Everything was so good and beautifully plated. We finally got a chance to go to Manna. We were slightly hesitant because the reviews were hit or miss shortly after it opened. It far exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Service was fantastic. It's a really unique interior, makes you feel like you're eating in someone's upscale home. The food couldn't have been better. We got the bread (you must), the charred Caesar, the saltado, the pork tenderloin, chocolate cake and the dolce de leches tiramisu. All of it, sincerely, was delicious. And the cocktails were also amazing. We've been talking about this meal ever since we had it. Can't wait to go and sit in the bar for happy hour. read more

Perfect food! Stellar service!! So beautiful and comfortable!! Since it was 90° outside, no one was really using the outdoor patio, but I would love to check it out in the future, weather permitting. We made reservations for 5pm and were seated promptly on the third floor under a beautiful chandelier. I told the waitress I liked sweet drinks and she recommended the Eso cocktail, which was a pineapple blend. Then, I tried the espresso martini, and that was the winner. I also had a scrumptious glass of moscato. My husband stuck with the buffalo trace old fashioned all evening. We both loved the mahi mahi bites appetizer - perfection!!!!! I think I could eat it every day (even without the dip, which was to die for). The French dish, coq au vin blanc, had a delicious sauce with a lingering hint of wine. Yummmmmmm. Chef, I would recommend pouring that delicious sauce right over the rice!!! The only thing I would change would be the dessert. The sponge cake with whipped topping was not bad but I like my dessert downright sinful. I think a diabetic could have eaten this without any issue. I had the halibut and my friend had the filet. The filet was cooked perfectly and the potatoes had a nice truffle flavor but not over bearing. The halibut was light and flavorful. Espresso Martini! They have 2 available, a pumpkin spice, and a traditional, and i LOVED the traditional its super espresso forward, with a nice blend of cinnamon and other spices to back up and enhance the flavor of their espresso. Also the Walk through Provence! Its a super elegant Lavender Martini where they clairfy(?) the the juices in it! Its really pretty and elegant! For food, i LOVE LOVE LOVE the lamb empanadas, they really need a dipping sauce and so it talked to Jackson the sommelier about what sauce would pair nicely with the. Manna's Spoiler Alert: 5 Star Review Manna's qualifies as one of a select few fine dining restaurants in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area, and we like that this experience is in Centerville Uptown. In our view, Manna's is a five-star dining experience IF servers are on their game. It is the responsibility of management to train and supervise the servers; servers may be the weak link in fine dining. Chef and owner Margot Blondet is well established in the Dayton restaurant scene, and although experiencing initial missteps potentially provides a 5 Star dining experience. In a May 19, 2023 a DDN staffer provided an adolescent review of the bar and wine scene, and should have focused much more on dining and service. This DDN reviewer neglected menu and meal content. And forget pronunciation - who cares? At any rate there are much better reviews for adults on restaurant review sites. We like that the parking lot has been expanded; we recommend that the city fund the connection of the east parking lot with the west parking lot. We recommend that the entrance from Main Street access both the east and west parking lot; this would relieve bottlenecks from 725 or Franklin ST. This is a beautiful restaurant; perhaps too small on all levels with little forethought to seating. Firstlevel according to Margot is Hell, and is painted all Black - very strange. Second level is Purgatory and third level is Heaven; we like first, second, and third levels as descriptors. Might recommend a walkthrough of all levels prior to seating reservations. We have identified our favorite table. We have followed the Reviews since opening, and our observation is that many of the initial impediments have been overcome, which is not to indicate that near perfection is achieved. We find the lunch menu offers a paucity of options. Please bring selections from the dinner menu to the lunch menu. Recommend that lunch menu be expanded to capitalize on skill set of chefs. Because an older uptown Centerville property was remodeled, the dining/bar rooms are small. The patio section, while appealing is facing the western Ohio sun and is too hot to suite our requirements. First level dining is a choppy, small space which is crammed with elbow to elbow seating, and unfortunately the second level dining is also a small space which is crammed with elbow to elbow seating. Our lunch experience was fine; however, we are hesitant to reserve during popular dinner hours. In our view crammed, tight seating with a high noise level is a detraction to the ambience of dining. Others have commented on the grand stair case; this stair case seems to add to the general ambience, and is not an impediment to second floor dining as far as we are concerned. We greatly desire to experience more French and Peruvian menu offerings. Burgers, fries, chicken salad, zucchini fritters, empanadas et al. all are fine for an average dining restaurant. Given the pricing, we expected more high end selections. Dinner menu does provide a nicer selection than does lunch menu. Jordan is our talented young server who hails from Puerto Rico; Jordan is Not a fish fan, but is enthusiast about Barramundi. I ask Jordan why, and he explains the chef said Barramundi is good. I ask IF there is a lunch and/or dinner tasting menu - There is not. Take note that the Brunch menu is actually part of the lunch menu. Service is excellent - 5 Stars. Ambience is the element that nearly all diners comment, and ambience is clearly 5 stars. Music is not for all, but Boomers may be pleased. Chef Margot, et al. always rate a 5 star - IF only the menu is expanded. At least include a Great French Onion soup. My dear wife informs me on the drive to Manna's (pronounce however you like) that Whit's Custard is her decision for dessert, and of course, Yes, dear. Our selections: Shrimp Omelette Gruyère and shrimp omelette, with onions and peppers, served with roasted potatoes and balsamic salad And Barramundi Sandwich Pan seared barramundi on toasted rustic ciabatta, almond chimichurri mayo, piquillo compote and arugula. served with a kale salad. Manna's does not meet our requirements for Saturday night dining, but does meet our requirements for midweek dining. The noise and crowded factors are not something that we enjoy. It is difficult for us to recommend Manna's to a couple for special occasion weekend dining. Yes, ambience is a solid five; our menu choices rated a five, and the servers rated a five; we shall return. Stopped in for a cocktail and a couple appetizers after a busy day. Very early but the bar was open with a few guests. Sign said seat yourself in bar area. We started to sit at a table in the bar area and a very rude woman told us we need to wait to be seated. Bartender was very nice and told us to sit anywhere. He was very friendly and helpful selecting a cocktail from their extensive list. Both his recommendations were spot on. I noticed another bar tender was actually making our cocktails two different drink at the same time with different hands. Very impressive ! The apps were great and the cocktails were perfect. Visit was super disappointing. We first started off with the charred Caesar and the Kale salad. The charred Caesar was charred way too long which made the salad soggy and crispy. The kale salad was more like a slaw salad with a super sour dressing vs. flavorful dressing. Next up was the French onion soup. It was made with way too much salt. It was super salty and not very flavorful. For the entree we got the Victoria wings and it tasted like a perfume wings. The smoked technique was not very good. We also got the cauliflower steak with square fries. This dish was lacking in flavor and size for the price of this vegan dish. Our server was not attentive and was gone for long periods of time. Needless to say we dine here occasionally but the quality of food has drastically gone down. The ambiance was quant and very low to moderate noise levels. The craft drinks were amazing. The presentation of food at buffet was so nice. There also was an omelette station. Very upscale. The only thing that I would suggest is maybe adding a vegetable or salad of some sort. Wow! I had no idea this place existed in downtown Centerville. Walking in, noticed the pretty patio. There were some diners taking advantage of the pretty night and dining outside. Walking into the restaurant itself you can't help but notice the elegant decor and amazing bar area. We had reservations and were immediately seated upon arrival. They sat us in a cozy corner in the bar. Our waiter was also one of the bartenders. He recommended some great cocktails to start off and we were able to sample the moscato. Oh my, where do I begin! Cocktails at the bar before dinner were meh. Couldn't taste the vodka in the vodka tonic, had to order a shot on the side. Our table was ready for 15 minutes before we were seated. Our waiter didn't remove the foil from the wine bottle so it dribbled. He didn't know to let someone taste it and gave everyone a one ounce pour before leaving. My wontons were executed well and tasty. Can't recommend what they are calling French bread with balsamic vinegar. Our waiter was friendly, but seemed completely unaware of how to be a waiter. Our table wasn't cleared between courses, we had to ask the hostess to clear the table. The service was a solid one star. My poulet au vin was chicken with skin that was rubbery/ not crispy and the sauce was unremarkable gravy. My husband had the filet, which was cooked exactly the way he ordered. However, at $64 he could have had an amazing bone in filet at the Pine Club. Our friend had the truffle pasta with not one shred of truffle and it was salty as the sea. Our waiter grabbed our first bottle of wine to take it away while there was still a quarter of the bottle remaining. There aren't many fine dining establishments in Dayton so I desperately wanted this to, well, not suck. Not the case. The value doesn't reflect half the price. My husband and I came in for a date night and were very excited to try this new spot in Centerville. What Worked: - The decor here is absolutely stunning. The bar downstairs is, in my opinion the most beautiful and would be a fantastic place to meet for a cocktail. - The cocktails were imaginative, fun, and delicious. - Our waiter was very kind and very excited to help us. He was able to answer questions we had about the menu and offer suggestions regarding cocktails or wine pairings. Pain Points: -The reservation system. When making a reservation online, it's really unclear how to reserve the space you want in the restaurant. For instance, we reserved a table in "the bar" which we assumed would see us downstairs by the main bar. However, we were seated on the top floor (which to be fair does also have a bar). But, the upper level is also an option online to reserve? It just seems very confusing and difficult to reserve a table in the spot you're actually looking for online. I would recommend calling if you have a preference on where you sit. - The staff seemed very unorganized. For example, there was a cell phone and charger that belonged to one of the waitstaff laying on the table next to us that one of them left there for a while. Our Meal: We started with Nikkei Causa (wild caught lump crab, golden yukon potatoes served chilled, with cucumber rolled in nori and a smooth aji amarillo sofrito). We thought this was ok, it had a nice fresh flavor, but was a bit bland for the two of us. I ordered the Wild Caught Halibut (8 oz filet of fresh halibut pan seared in butter, skin on, sautéed spinach, garden herb potatoes, with mushroom duxelle and lemon beurre blanc). This was actually my husband's favorite. This was prepared perfectly. My husband opted for the Duck Medallions (maple leaf farms duck breast, port wine and pearl onion confit, roasted carrot flower with a crispy leaf tuile, and parsnip purée). Are waiter informed us that the chef suggested it be served medium rare so that is what we ordered. However, it came out extremely well done and we ended up having to send it back. This resulted in my husband and I sharing my entree while we waited for his to be prepared. Once it arrived corrected, it was actually my favorite thing we had. This is hard to review.. because elements were great and then others very disappointing. My friend I hadn't seen in awhile wanted to try this restaurant. It was going to be enjoyable just to get together. We had reservations and tried to find it. It's not easy to find. Coming from the highway, which more than half probably are, you have to pass the entrance before you have a prayer of seeing the restaurant. The traffic on this road is busy, so it is not convenient to putter around. The sign is ridiculously obscure. Free parking in the back and the only entrance is in the back. I passed it several times before finding it. It's lovely inside somewhere between gosh and posh. But I liked the decor and the hostess was beyond gracious. It was a hot day, and she offered me water while I waited, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. While I waited on my friend, she told me a little history of the restaurant in the owner. The same owner owns solar in dayton, which? Is more Peruvian while this location is more French. Love France and French food, so I was intrigued. My friend and I were sitting, and our server Addison got us started with a cocktail and a starter. She seemed friendly enough at the start. I had the charred ceasar salad, which was delicious and just the right size. This is where the night took a turn. I was vasilating between 2 choices for our entree. My friend is African American and we had just been talking about how she's had some prejudice bad service... We were impressed! Frankly, when Manna Uptown opened last spring, there were some mixed reviews, so we decided to wait a bit until they got things ironed out before visiting. I'm glad we did because we have nothing but positive things to say about our dinner out last night. When we made reservations, we were asked if our party had any mobility problems, which we didn't so we were seated upstairs. The restaurant has a formal French feel with chandeliers, black and white wallpaper and yellow accents throughout the restaurant. Their use of decorative fine china was a nice touch over most restaurant's plain place settings. For dinner, I had the Chicken & Gnudi with Sage Brown Butter and my husband had the Pork Medallions with a Mushroom Cream Sauce. Both were plated beautifully and were very delicious. The chicken was tender and the gnudi melted in your mouth. We shared the Chouquettes for dessert and enjoyed that as well. A nice sweet touch to end our meal. The service was top notch but be aware that this is a fine dining experience, so it is at a relaxed pace. read more

Our waitress was very matronly wearing a mask which set a negative tone from the outset. (No other restaurant staff wore masks). She wasn't particularly pleasant, helpful nor welcoming. Manna was not what we expected. The atmosphere is great. But that's about the best we can say. We started off with being seated at the smallest table possible for two. Not a good start for newcomers. Our server was polite, and after taking our order for cocktails and appetizers we waited TWENTY minutes before my spouse's cocktail came out. Mine did not. Why? Because apparently the bartender couldn't find what they needed to fix my drink. Ok, so why wait twenty minutes to tell me that? I picked a new cocktail and waited another ten minutes to have it come out. Meanwhile our soup and salad finally comes out. My husband's Caesar salad was good, and my butternut squash soup was good but nothing special. Moving on, out appetizers come out (why after the soup and salad IDK). My husband had great scallops, but my choux buns and Gruyère cheese cheese dip was terrible. The pastry was lacking flavor outside of slightly burnt, and the cheese was flavorless. I could t finish it and asked the server to take it away. We waited again for another twenty minutes before our wine came out (a Riesling that was not chilled properly and the craft brought out was also not chilled, so what was the point? Finally the entrees: mine was the duck medallions which were cooked well but not trimmed properly. My husband's skirt steak was another story. Yes, there were herbs. In fact, the herbs overpowered the flavor of Beverly thing else on the plate including and especially the skirt steak. We sent it back. The manager came out and handled our complaint by removing the food. We explained this was our first visit and frankly we were disappointed. She apologized and put in more scallops for my husband. We waited over twenty more minutes (for three sea scallops, WTH?). Meanwhile my dirty plate sat on the table the entire time. Our server finally came back and I flagged her to remove the plate. No offer for coffee or dessert. Finally, the scallops came out, my husband finished, and we asked for our check. For $200+ it was NOT a fun or enjoyable experience. Stopped into Manna last night for cocktails about a half hour before they closed - BEAUTIFUL! Bartenders Jackson and John could not have been more courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks and service were superb - if this is the attention to detail paid toward drinks at the bar, I can only imagine that the chef meals are delicious. The location is stunningly gorgeous without feeling unapproachable - The bar is lovely with restaurant seating surrounding it - Multiple beautiful rooms to enjoy - one has frescoes on the ceiling - lovely wine room - a perfect place for a date, special evening, event or just a lovely night out for a drink. This place is so beautiful! I can't even articulate how excited I am to have a restaurant/bar of this caliber so close to home. This is big city ambiance in small town Ohio. I was so blown away I didn't even take pictures. I just wanted to enjoy myself and take it all in. The food was excellent! We had the heirloom salad and the lamb chop. Both were incredible. That salad is so loaded with flavor. We both love pesto, pine nuts, and burrata cheese. It was perfect. The lamb was so amazing. You could taste the slight hint of raisins which reminded me of the Cuban dish Ropa Vieja. Great flavors, cooked to perfection. The wine list was good, I'm betting they will expand on it and make it great! The service we experienced at the table and the bar was top notch. What a great experience! I will update a review with more information after I've been here a couple times but right now, I am just so high on the experience I had tonight and am excited for future visits. read more

This local establishment is exactly the kind of niche cuisine that Dayton both needs and deserves - and niche in the sense that there are few restaurants, albeit Salar, that can pull of this level of execution, attention-to-detail, and masterful blend of French and Peruvian cuisine.
