Paragon has been a long time fav for me. When they are on their game, as they were tonight, the steak was as good as it gets. A slight char on the filet as I requested was very tasty. The only negative is that the shrimp cocktail, while still good, was not really up to the level of years past. Service was spot on thanks to Amy who was there when we needed her but not intrusive. Another really solid choice for a nice meal. We can't afford to come regularly but mainly come for celebrations like birthdays, anniversary ect. Love the escargot... and dipping the bread in the yummy garlic butter. Our entree came with salad and 2 sides. It was way too much food and i suggested next time we share a meal. My lobster tails were small but had perfect taste and texture.. there were 4 of them which was too much. Hubby loved his filet and it was perfect texture... he ordered medium and it was medium plus but he was satisfied. My salad was drowned in dressing so couldnt eat it which was disappointing. But we left full and it was more than we could eat. This is expensive but if you did share the meal it would be quite reasonable. Literally the best filet mignon I've ever had. Perfectly cooked every time. Cuts easily and melts like butter in your mouth. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Atmosphere is so classic and relaxing. Very much an older crowd, but that's how you know it's good. The wait staff is so polite and they really make you feel at home. We went out for a holiday dinner with friends. This establishment was GORGEOUS!! Beautiful decor in red and gold. So lovely. Our server was Courtney and she was nice. My husband and had the filet with baked potato and mushrooms. Steak cooked to perfection. Potato hot and delicious. He said the mushrooms had no real flavor. I had the 7-layer salad...YUM!!! And potato soup. Nice flavor. Creamy and filling. I cannot say enough about the salad. From the first bite to the last I was wanting more. Crisp and crunchy!! My hubby and his friends had cheesecake for dessert. They all said the best cheesecake ever!! Really nice place for a festive gathering of friends or a dinner for 2. I'm so thrilled we went. Have been a loyal customer of the Paragon for many, many years and a card carrying guest. This past Thursday, after a rough day my wife and I decided to stop for dinner. We entered at 8:35, sign out front says open till 10PM. We were told the kitchen was closed, go away. i pointed out the closing time posted at the front door and was told "we cant keep the kitchen open for a few late comers" Never been so insulted in my life!! The food is always good and the wait staff is always excellent, but the front of the house, including the bar needs an attitude adjustment. First time I've been to the Paragon. I wasn't expecting an amazing steak more like the Pine Club. What I received was the best 16oz bone in filet I've had in years. Done to perfection. The first place that did not overcook my medium rare minus steak. The char was perfect. For $67 to get this steak, a decent salad, potato ( I obviously got the hash browns) and a vegetable was incredible. Our lamb order was a menagerie of bones, very difficult to extract the meat from. One of the filet mignon was over chared and had to be sent back. Another filet mignon, the special, consisted of two quarter size filets wrapped in bacon. (Rather small). So all this by saying the experience wasn't what I'd been used to. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday. We had a lovely experience! The inside has very nice ambiance and pretty decorations. I ordered the salmon and was very happy with it. The Hawaiian BBQ sauce was delicious! I loved it. I also tried pieces of the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The meal came with a salad, a potato side, and a vegetable. we start off with an 1:15 minute wait that turned into two hours to get seated...then get sat down wait another 20 minutes with nothing but bread and then server shows up to take food order. we order drinks and food and they stacked it on top of us... drinks and appetizers came together with salads 5 minutes behind them ...steaks were five minutes behind salads that were half eaten. when I say steaks I mean steaks only. bake potatoes and other sides came out with the bill to go thirty minutes later with a 300$ bill. Oh, How the mighty have fallen. Ive heard the rumors about other restaurants cutting corners, skimping on portion sizes and using inferior/ lower quality products to increase their bottom line in an attempt to make up for higher costs. Its unfortunate as I can understand both sides yet, as a consumer... I was the one left "holding the bag". Went for my Birthday and opted to split the Wagyu Tomahawk. At least both of us were left with an overpriced imposter, but hey the fries were delicious. I have serious doubts that this cut was even a Wagyu, the fat marbling or the flavor wasn't consistent and left me wondering. Was this a Tomahawk purchased straight from Sam's Club for $30 and passed off???
